Laying It All Together

Author's Note: Well, I can't really say that I expected all of this support. I am very glad that the humor in this story was seen, as it was meant to, and that everyone seems to be enjoying my story.
For those of you who are still following me only because you want to read the next chapter in "The Legendary Sucker" I really am sorry. I had put what I have done on that chapter on my laptop and brought it with me, but I had to make a few major computer changes and ended up loosing everything that I had on my computer. As a result I can't work on it at the moment, so this is me doing my level best to make up for that fact, by giving you all something to read that will hopeflly be just as good.
I'll respond to all of the reviews at the bottom of the chapter.

Best Plans to get Laid

Chapter Two: Laying It All Together

***

The forests of Konoha were dense with thick foliage that could block out the very sun itself. It was sometimes hard to tell when it was day and when it was night when one was wandering through the heavily populated forests. This tree heavy area had become a favorite training ground as of late for the blond haired fox boy. It wasn't clear if he liked the area because it was a bit harder to tell when night had become day, or if he just liked it because there were plenty of trees that he could punch and kick around here, and he didn't have to worry about stepping into someone else's training, or having someone step into his. So far it had managed to prove itself in that regard, since no one had disturbed him yet, and he had been left alone to master the skills that he had been training so hard to work to perfection.

At the moment, his breathing was rather heavy as he stared at a tree that he had just completely destroyed with his rasengan technique. It hadn't been all that much trouble to wipe out a tree with that kind of powerful technique but since he had been doing this kind of training all day, it had started taking its tole on his body. His clear blue eyes remained focused on the battered remains of what had once been a tree, a few pillars of light peeking down through the veil of foliage that was above, because now there was an open space. Naruto smiled softly at his handiwork, looking at the splinters of wood and dust which had surrounded the jagged looking stump. Really he had been doing a much better job of controlling the rasengan and using it properly these days. He still remembered when he first tried to use the skill and how it had done a lot of damage, but had still been incomplete. It had left those swirling lines on everything that he had attacked. These days the destruction was far more complete, and those spinning patterns no longer appeared on the remains of the things that he practiced on.

A soft breeze blew through the trees. As the breeze passed the blond haired, blue eyed ninja he stood up a bit more straight, enjoying the cooling, relaxing sensation. The cool breeze quickly cooled the thin layer of sweet which had covered his skin due to the stress and exercise of performing the skill. It was only at this point in time that Naruto realized that he would probably be far cooler if he removed his heavy extra layers of clothing. He supposed that the reason that he hadn't considered taking off a few of the heavy pieces of clothing in order to cool himself down was because he simply hadn't realized how hot all of the rasengan training had actually made him until the cool air had blown by and showed him how much sweat had actually collected on his face, on the back of his neck, and in his hair. He sighed softly and adjusted his headband trying to make it more comfortable on his forehead, even with all of the sweat which had collected behind the metal plate on his headband. He closed his eyes against the harsh, stinging salty sweat which had slipped down his brow. He looked at the broken tree for a few moments before deciding to use it as a coat hanger of sorts since he really was quite warm while he was wearing his coat along with everything else.

Naruto brought his hand up to his neck, taking a firm hold of the end of the zipper before slowly pulling it down the length of the coat, opening up the front of the jacket. Suddenly the breeze was able to get to the inside of the jacket, making his chest suddenly feel several degrees cooler. It was again a very relaxing feeling. He pulled the jacket off, hanging it on one of the taller pieces of stump and stretched, now feeling much lighter and cooler since he had chosen to only wear his standard black t-shirt underneath the black and orange jacket that he wore. He stretched for a few moments, getting used to the feeling of not wearing the jacket on top of everything else.

Naruto stood there for a few more moments, his breathing still a bit more hard than it should have been. He smiled softly and then suddenly had dropped down into a fighting stance. He had heard something in the distance and had immediately moved to defend himself against it, in the event that he would need to. He smirked softly, "If you have been watching me at all you know that I'm more than a match for pretty much anyone."

Ino had been watching from the shadows, was Naruto had been training. She had been quite upset when Tenten had suggested that she would probably bed Naruto before her plan was successful, but now that she had watched him train, she could understand why Tenten would make that sort of comment. Just watching Naruto train had been enough to bring up Ino's body temperature. When she had seen Naruto strip off his jacket her mouth had started to water. It may have had something to do with the fact that somewhere in her mind she was still pinning for Shikamaru, who seemed to be absolutely obsessed with that sand witch Temari, but watching Naruto as he trained and removed clothing to keep cool was having a very incredible effect on Ino's body. Maybe those things that Tenten had said weren't all that far out.

Their plan had been something simple. In order for Ino to capture Naruto's body they needed to make sure that Naruto wasn't moving around. There was a big risk since Naruto was normally always jumping and running around. The first plan was to catch Naruto while he was training, since he didn't move all that much while he was using the rasengan against stationary trees. She had somehow gotten caught up in other thoughts though, which meant that the next part of the plan came into play. The next part of the plan was that Tenten and Sakura would rush out, possibly duel with Naruto for a while, to wear down his defenses a bit more and then eventually hold the fox boy down so that Ino would have a clear, and unmoving target at which she could aim at. She would have a whole lot more luck against a target who didn't move, which was why they needed to hold Naruto down. At the moment, the only images that were running through Ino's mind with the thought of holding Naruto down were a few more thoughts that continued to buzz between her legs. They were thoughts that Ino knew she shouldn't have been having since the plan was to win Naruto for Hinata, but still, Ino was only human.

A pink haired kunoichi made a controlled fall from the trees, landing silently on the ground behind Naruto. She had already pulled on her fingerless leather gloves, and smirked as she looked at Naruto, taking up a stance between him and his discarded jacket, "Well, Naruto. I didn't know that you had gotten so confident. You really think that you are strong enough to take on anyone?"

Naruto was shocked that Sakura had shown up, barging in on his training. He would have been at least a little bit shocked if it had been anyone other than Sakura of course, but it was especially shocking that it was the pink haired kunoichi who he had crushed on so hard during the academy and even after. He hadn't expected Sakura to join him. She was the last person he had expected to ever come looking for him, since she had always seemed so angry at him and had always been so interested in Sasuke. He smiled softly and brought his hand up behind the back of his head, rubbing it, looking a bit bashful and shy all of a sudden, "Oh, Sakura-chan, I didn't mean you."

Tenten had used the moment of shock that Sakura had produced over Naruto to quickly sneak up behind the fox boy. Once there, her mission was easy. He hand snapped out like a snake, or a tightly coiled spring, and with that she had taken a firm hold of Naruto's hand, which he had been holding behind his head and had then brought one of her many kunai up, pressing it against Naruto's neck, "It's okay Naruto. Sakura and I don't offend all that easily." She chuckled, "Especially when the things that you are saying have absolutely no base in fact.

The blond ninja blinked again as he felt the cold steel of the kunai against his neck. Perhaps this was part of his training or something and he was meant to show off his new skills by beating both Sakura, who was inhumanly strong, and Tenten who seemed to be a bit of a tactician (not as good as Shikamaru of course) and could wield all of those weapons. He shrugged and then smirked up at Sakura, "So you guys really want to fight me or something? I suppose I can take a break from training." With that Naruto had leaped backwards, pushing all of his weight back against Tenten, and putting some distance between his neck and the cold hard, and possibly deadly kunai knife which she had been using to show him that he really didn't stand a chance against her. He chuckled then as he brought his hand up, using a quick thrust to push Tenten's kunai arm up while he ducked down. All of this had happened far too quickly for Tenten to have realized what exactly was going on and as a result she had no time to get ready for the next move that Naruto made, placing his free hand against her arm and quickly using it as leverage to throw her over him and at Sakura.

"Oh shit!" Tenten cried as suddenly she was flying through the air towards a pink haired kunoichi who no matter what physical strength she had didn't look ready to catch her.

Indeed, Sakura hadn't been ready to catch Tenten. She had however had more than enough time to leap to the side and evade the attack of a body throw that Naruto had fired at her. She really hadn't expected the blond boy to resist so much. She had expected him to go into some sort of state of shock and just stand there dumbfounded and maybe make a few perverted jokes like his pervet of a sensei would have done if in a situation that was at all similar. She had also waited with Tenten, making sure that they didn't make their move until Naruto had plenty of time to wear himself out by using that destructive and highly chakra expensive technique to bring him down to almost nothing. They had thought for sure that they would be able to slip in and subdue the tired and weak blond ninja especially with their surprise tactics of using someone who everyone knew Naruto couldn't possibly resist. It seemed that their plan had hit a snag right there since it looked like Naruto had either thought that this was some sort of weird sparring match, or really did have what it took to resist the lovely pink haired medical ninja who he had developed such a huge crush on during the academy. This was several layers of bad for all of them, since their plan depended on them being able to subdue the fox boy so that Ino could use her mind body transfer technique on him. If Ino missed, or accidentally hit one of them rather than Naruto, then there was no telling what might happen.

This was the kind of situation that ninja found themselves in every day though. There were always plans, and it seemed just as often as a plan was made a new plan had to be made because the first one hadn't worked out. This was just one of those situations that sometimes occurred. Ino cursed silently as she watched her friends struggle with the fox boy. She wanted to contribute, to help out, but there was nothing that she could do that wouldn't make the situation worse. If she rushed out, to help fight Naruto then the whole plan became dangerous. She didn't mind the idea of tackling Naruto, and getting nice and close while she held him down though. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to clear these impure thoughts from her mind, since she knew that she wasn't going to get the chance to jump Naruto anyway.

Sakura smirked softly as she jumped around on the ground, "Well, Naruto. It looks like you are a whole lot stronger than I had thought you would be." She smiled.

Naruto chuckled as he brought his hands up seeming to be getting ready for the shadow clone technique. Sakura's eyes grew wide. He couldn't let Naruto use that technique. If he used his shadow clone technique, then Ino would have no idea which Naruto to target, and they would have to beat down all of the clones before they could figure out which one was which. Sakura moved quickly pulling her right hand back, focusing a huge amount of chakra into it before firing her powerful punch into the very ground that she was standing on. The earth split into fissures and breaks, kicking up dirt and dust. The attack had done exactly what Sakura had wanted it to do, and Naruto had been forced to leap up into the air to avoid being caught in the breaking earth, or lose his footing, which could be an even more dangerous choice. He had jumped back against a tree, and that was when a barrage of throwing weapons had come towards him. Their teamwork was impressive. Sakura made a move to push Naruto and suddenly Tenten had been able to fill the gap in the maneuver to make an attack.

Naruto raised an eyebrow. This wasn't any good at all. He was caught between a tree and a barrage of sharp and pointy objects. He was going to have to move pretty fast if he was going to be able to get out of this one alive. He jumped up, doing a backflip and then using his tree climbing skill to stick to the trunk of the tree, one of the shuriken whizzed by his head, just missing him, causing a few strands of his blond hair to escape. Naruto gave a sigh of relief when the sharp objects missed him entirely.

He chuckled softly, like he had known all along that he was going to get out of the way of the kunai and then looked up towards both Tenten and Sakura, who were both glaring seeming rather angry at him, "Hey, you should be careful throwing those around. Someone could really get hurt."

Sakura smirked softly as she moved into a fighting stance similar to Rock Lee's. Naruto raised an eyebrow as he looked at her, almost like he wasn't sure he could take her seriously. She was going to fight him like Rock Lee? Naruto was quite sure that Sakura didn't have the speed to pull off Rock Lee's moves. He shook his head and then suddenly a flash caught his eyes and he jumped back, doing backflips up the tree. The kunai and shuriken that had been thrown continued to strike in the areas that Naruto had just been as he continued backflips up the tree. Naruto skidded up the tree a bit more as he looked down at the various weapons which had hit the tree where he had been.

A smile had spread across Naruto's lips. Their strategy was actually a good one, but it would only work on him. The plan as far as he could see was that Sakura would distract him and then while he was distracted, Tenten launched one of her long ranged attacks. He smirked as he looked at them for a few moments. This would have been a good tactic if he hadn't been able to piece together what was going on before they had gotten him. Now that he knew that the plan was to distract him from the real threat he would be able to avoid it. Unfortunately for Naruto he was right in every respect except for one. Sakura's job was to distract him, and Tenten's job was to launch long ranged attacks, because that was what Tenten was good at. What the problem was, was that the plan wasn't to distract him so that Tenten could attack. The plan was to distract him so that Ino could attack, and he didn't even know that Ino was a combatant in this little sparring match yet. Knowing a plan and acting accordingly was an advantage. Thinking that one knew a plan and acting on their faulty knowledge was very often a disadvantage.

Sakura watched as suddenly Naruto's attention turned to Tenten rather than focusing on her. That was actually a good thin for them, since Sakura probably had a better chance to pin Naruto down than Tenten did. Tenten's use of long ranged bladed weapons would have been an incredible advantage if Naruto was still wearing his coat, since they could pin his coat to a tree or something, but since he had stripped off his coat, using the bladed weapons was a bit more tricky, and a lot more dangerous, since they could hit Naruto himself. He wasn't any good to any of them if he was dead. With Sakura's super human strength the fox boy was going to have to do more than just struggle in order to get out of a pin. In order to get him somewhere that Sakura could use that raw power of hers, she was going to need to get him down from the tree first. She looked over at Tenten, smirking softly, "Keep him busy while I bring him back down to earth."

Tenten nodded, smiling softly, "Yeah, I think I can keep him busy while you tear him down." She then pulled out a long scroll, smiling as she looked up at Naruto, "Well, Naruto, time to see how many dodging skills you really have."

Naruto really couldn't be sure what was going on anymore. On one hand, Tenten was a very deadly ninja, and she rarely missed with all of her throwing weapons. Even with all of his jumping around, he doubted that he would get away from everything unscathed. On the other hand, Sakura had said something about Tenten being a distraction while she brought him down to earth. He wasn't sure which ninja he should be looking at, since both of them had the potential to be incredibly dangerous and as far as he knew he was still fighting both of them. He had quickly dismissed what they were saying though. It could be a bluff, or something that Sakura was trying to use to get his attention back on the pink haired medical ninja while Tenten continued her relentless assault. He couldn't run the risk of looking away from the weapon mistress now.

Ino continued to watch from her perch inside the foliage of the trees. She wasn't entirely sure what was going on at this point either. What she knew was that the plan was still to pin Naruto down somewhere so that she could invade his body. She had no idea what they were talking about when they talked about bringing him down to earth. She supposed what they meant was some sort of combined attack that would give Naruto nowhere to run but down, and then Sakura had some sort of plan to pin him to the earth, thereby ending this little farce of a battle that was going on. Once that had happened Ino would simply jump down and the game would be over, and she would be in control of Naruto's body. It was an absolutely excellent plan, and there was no way that anyone could put a fault to it at this point. What she didn't understand was how they planned to knock Naruto down without both of them working to that aim. If one of them was just distracting the loudmouth ninja then there really wasn't all that much chance of success. Naruto may not have been the brightest of the bunch, but he was smart enough to see a trap before stepping into it, at least Ino thought he was.

Tenten smiled before launching several more, sharp and dangerous looking weapons, seeming to be generating them from the scroll that she was holding. She chuckled, "Run, Naruto, run."

Naruto continued dodging the attacks, but it seemed a bit easier now. It was like Tenten wasn't really aiming to kill him anymore. He wasn't sure that Tenten had ever been aiming to kill him though. All of her moves had seemed to be aiming more to pin him down with her long ranged weapons rather than to hit a vital point and kill him. He supposed that actually made quite a bit more sense since this was only a sparring match, and there was no point in killing a person from your own village in a spar. Still, he felt a bit insulted that he wasn't being taken seriously by the Konoha kunoichi. He continued dodging the attacks with ease before looking over to where Sakura had been when he had last seen her to noticed that she had moved since then and was no longer there. His eyes quickly scanned the area, looking desperately for where the medical ninja had gone but in a moment his question was answered in a clear, and rather unpleasant way.

The sound of the tree snapping filled the air, like a gunshot. It had been a sound that Naruto had come to understand and appreciate since he spent a lot of his time out in forests like this one using his rasengan on trees. The sound of wood splitting and breaking up into smaller parts, flying around in debris, was something that Naruto knew all too well, and worse still, it was a sound that he could translate in this situation to mean something very bad was about to happen to him. He looked down to the source of the sound to see that Sakura had punched her fist straight through the tree, splinted and wood dust scattered all over the tree as the wood groaned under the strain and it slowly started to teeter. It seemed that their plan to 'bring Naruto down to earth' as they had put it all centered around Sakura's ability to snap trees like toothpicks. His world was very literally tumbling down as he was sent hurtling towards the hard earth below him. He thought he had noticed a soft smirk on Sakura's lips before he had leaped off of the tree to land on another one nearby.

Standing on the tree that he had just jumped to, Naruto looked down at the two kunoichi who he had been battling, "Wow...you two are kind of scary, did you know that?"

Tenten chuckled as she looked up to where Naruto had jumped to, "Hey, Sakura. I thought you were going to bring him down to earth. It looks more like he just jumped to another tree to me." She waved a finger at Sakura, "You shouldn't lie."

Ino had been deathly silent while sitting in her position at the top of her tree. This plan was very, very bad. If Sakura continued to punch down trees then Ino was going to quickly run out of hiding places. Ino had also become painfully aware of Naruto's spot on the tree she was using for cover. If Sakura continued her plan of knocking Naruto down by knocking down trees, that meant that Ino was going to have to move just as fast as Naruto to get to a fresh hiding place, and she was going to have to do it without being noticed by the blond ninja. This wasn't something that was going to be easy, even for a skill ninja like Ino was. She could only hope that her comrades remembered which tree it was that she was in, or just decided to give up on their plan of knocking down all of the trees until Naruto didn't have a place to jump to anymore.

Sakura pouted a bit, "Hey, I didn't see you doing any better to pin him down."

Naruto laughed bringing his hand to the back of his head, "Oh, so the rule of this game is to pin down the opponent, or in my case opponents. Well, now that I know that..."

Sakura raised an eyebrow. It seemed that Naruto thought that this was all some kind of training exercise and she and Tenten were sparring with him or something. She supposed that was better than him thinking that they were really dangerous and that this was some sort of fight to the death, but really, she wasn't sure how much better it was. Naruto was a bit of a competitive spirit, and if he thought that this was all some sort of game or something, he really wasn't going to give in all that easy. It also meant that while they were trying to pin down Naruto, which would now be twice as difficult, he would be trying to pin them down. Even though she was spoken for, she had to admit, that the idea of being pinned down under Naruto's strong body wasn't all that much of a problem for her. As she thought about this for a few more moments she realized that it wasn't actually all bad. If Naruto was successful in pinning one of them down, he would probably be stationary long enough for Ino to get off her shot to transfer bodies. That was the whole point of this, and if Sakura had to be pinned under Naruto's body in order for their plant to work, that was just something that she was going to have to deal with. She smiled softly to herself.

Tenten sighed softly, "Well, what are we going to do now?"

Sakura looked over to Tenten and shrugged softly, "I don't know, I suppose you could use one of your chain weapons to tie him to a tree or something."

"I don't think so." Tenten shook her head, "He's pretty fast, and has been able to dodge all of my attacks so far. I really don't think that I'd be able to get him with a chain, no matter how fast it was going." She sighed and seemed to think about this, "Maybe with your strength..."

Naruto crossed his arms over his chest. He knew that he may not have been the master of tactical fighting, but it really did seem silly to him that they would be talking about all of their plans out loud like this. He tapped his foot for a few moments while he stood on the tree, watching as the two girls were continually chatting about their plans. He wondered for a moment if they were going to attack him, or if they had already given up and were just stalling for time or something.

Ino had smiled when she had noticed what was going on below her. The two girls were chatting, about strategy, which normally would have been a bad choice when your opponent was right in front of you, however, what they had succeeded in doing was making sure that Naruto was no longer moving. Always the gentleman when he was fighting against ladies, Naruto had seemed to have chosen to just stand there and wait for the girls to finish their planning session before making a move of his own. While it was incredibly gentlemanly of him, it wasn't all that smart, and it left him exactly where Ino wanted him. He was standing still, a perfect target for her mind body transfer skill. He wouldn't even have a chance to dodge it, because he would never even know that it was coming. She smirked to herself and started making hand seals. She watched and then suddenly Naruto had done the one thing that she had hoped he wouldn't. He had moved. She was very glad at that moment that she hadn't finished the skill, since it would have left her out of action for at least a few minutes, at which point the whole battle would probably be over since her body would tumble to earth and the cat would be out of the bag.

Naruto had jumped down from his spot on the tree because while he may have had the heart of a gentleman, he was also incredibly impatient, and hated to be left waiting, "Fine if you aren't going to come here to fight me, I'll come over there."

Sakura and Tenten had only had a moment to move before naruto had landed in the middle of where the two girls had been standing side by side, his fist pushed into the earth. Tenten had been the first to recover from the attack, pulling out another length of her scroll, firing yet another burst of her bladed weapons at the fox boy. She may have been forced to take a few steps back, but she was damned if she was going to let that blond haired loudmouth throw her off of her game. Sakura had taken a few more minutes to recover completely, because she had stopped to make absolutely sure that the place that she had jumped to was not in Tenten's line of fire, because of course, this would be a very bad place for her to be. After she had landed from jumping back she had looked over to the chocolate eyed weapon mistress and smiled softly to see that she had pulled her scroll out a bit farther and was continuing her barrage on Naruto. She was astounded at Tenten's attacks since all of them seemed to be so carefully thought out, and the aiming was always so precise. Sakura was sure that she wouldn't be able to compare to Tenten's impressive aim and speed.

This was an unfortunate choice for Sakura to have made. When all of the sharp object had started hurtling towards Naruto he had turned on his feet to find out where Sakura was. Once he had located her, which really wasn't all that hard, since she hadn't been hiding, he quickly leaped into the air. Sakura turned her attention back to Naruto just in time to see the blond boy making a flying leap through the air towards her. Her attention had been on Tenten for just long enough to have ruined her chances for escape, and with such a short time to plan, she really didn't have much hope of doing anything to block either.

Naruto's body crashed against Sakura, and suddenly she had found herself flat on her back, looking up into those clear blue eyes. As usual for Naruto he had that wide silly grin on his face, which made it hard for Sakura to be upset, even though she had just been beaten by the blond loudmouth ninja. He had always managed to put on a smiling face, every time. Even when he had told her that he was going off to find Sasuke and bring him back, he had forced a smile. She had known immediately that the smile he had put on when he had left to find Sasuke had been a forced one, because after all, he was going through just as much turmoil as everyone else, but it was just more proof that he thought about everyone else's feelings and happiness before he thought about his own. She really wasn't sure why he was like that, but every time she thought about how he would act like that her heart skipped a beat. She knew that she was with Rock Lee now, even if they hadn't actually said to each other or anyone else that what they had was a relationship, but even so, she was quite sure that if she let it, this moment could swallow her up and she could find herself very much in love with the blond ninja who had always had that little schoolboy crush on her.

The moment hadn't been as long as Sakura had thought it had been. As a matter of fact, Naruto had only stayed where he had been, his body over Sakura's, for a few seconds before doing a flip over her and moving to action, leaving Sakura to get up, or move as she saw fit. Sakura however, no longer had the heart to get up and move. Something had hit her far harder than Naruto had, and at the moment, she really wasn't sure she had the strength to push herself to her feet knowing that after this mission was over, Naruto was going to be tied down to another woman. She found herself staring up at the foliage for a few moments as sharp object zipped past her field of vision every few moments. She couldn't see the battle that was going on, and couldn't tell who was winning anymore, but regardless, she was quite sure that she was loosing. She closed her eyes tightly, trying very hard not to let any tears slip by her eyelids, and just lay where she had fallen under Naruto's strong body.

Ino had watched silently from her hiding spot in the tree that she was in as Naruto moved quickly. If Naruto had stayed where he had been for a few more moments, Ino supposed that she probably would have attempted to use her mind body transfer skill on him, but now he was moving around, heading towards Tenten, who really dind't have much of a chance to get away. The weapon mistress probably would have been able to use her weapons to an advantage if she was actually attempting to hurt or kill Naruto, but because she was trying to bring him down without actually hurting him, she really didn't have much hope. Ino closed her eyes tightly. This wasn't going to work out. The only way that they could pull everything together again would be if Sakura could pull herself together long enough to stand up.

Naruto chuckled as he continued to duck and dodge the attacks that Tenten was firing at him, trying to keep him from advancing on her, "C'mon, I'm going to beat you. You might as well just give up at this point."

Tenten smiled as she continued to fire Kunai and shuriken at him, backing up slowly as she was forced to continue moving backwards to maintain a safe distance between them, "Yeah, you'd love that, wouldn't you Naruto? I can't give up though." She pulled out a small scroll, opening it quickly and then out of the scroll launched a pair of kunai that were attached by a length of chain.

Naruto blinked as the chain burst forward. It looked like Tenten had planned to trip him up with the chain. He quickly leaped up into the air, getting away from the chain. Tenten had expected that he would do something like that and then pulled out another length of her large scroll. Now that Naruto was up in the air, he wasn't going to be able to dodge her attacks. She smirked, before launching another set of sharp throwing weapons that whizzed through the air. Naruto desperately twisted in the air, trying to get away from the kunai and shuriken. He received a few gentle scrapes and scratches, but other than that survived the attack unscathed. Tenten's attack hadn't been a complete failure, as it had caused Naruto to land early and not land on top of her as he had to Sakura.

Tenten had looked both ways, quickly looking for an avenue of escape. Really she was far too close to use her weapon attacks with any effectiveness, at least without aiming to kill the blond haired shinobi. Tenten watched as Naruto slowly wtarted to push himself up from the crouching position that he had landed in. A flicker of light reflected off of something that Naruto now had in his hands, and Tenten began to appreciate the gravity of her situation. She had barred herself from killing the male ninja because that would cause the mission to be a failure, but at the moment she was unarmed, and Naruto seemed to have a pair of weapons. This really was not the best solution. Suddenly Naruto had rushed forward, hitting Tenten with her shoulder, and pushing Tenten up into the air. The hit had been enough to pick Tenten off of the ground, and had been more than enough to knock the air out of her lungs. When tenten felt her back strike the unrelenting tree trunk, it had been more than enough force to knock the scroll out of her arms and onto the ground at the base of the tree. The scroll had been her only hope of beating Naruto and now it was on the ground, and she wouldn't even be able to reach it with her toes. She heard the thud of something striking the tree on either side of her head. She gasped softly as Naruto took his weight off of her, and she still didn't sink from where she was on the tree.

In another time Tenten probably would have found the situation that she was in right now terribly ironic. She had planned to pin Naruto with a tree using her long ranged weapons, and now she had been pinned to a tree using the very same technique and weapons that she had planned to use. She looked at the Kunai knives which had bitten through the cloth of her white clothes and simply shook her head in amazement. She had been trapped. If this had been an actual battle, she probably could have easily gotten out of the attack which had pinned her just by discarding the upper portion of her clothes, but that would leave her very exposed, and really, she didn't much care for that idea. She also knew that she could bring up her hands to pull the kunai knives out, but it seemed pointless now. Continuing their battle would only mean more jumping around, which wouldn't leave Naruto as a very good target for Ino's mind body transfer skill.

Naruto chuckled softly, "Well. It looks like I won in the end there. Wow." He brought his hands up in front of him, brushing them together, "Thanks for the workout." He smiled widely at him.

Tenten stared at Naruto as he continued to stand where he was, smiling stupidly at him. It looked like loosing had been the very best way to be sure that they had won. Now that Naruto had finished winning the little sparring match he was remaining completely stationary so that he could gloat a little bit and could think about what it was that he planned to do next. This left him completely open to Ino's attack, since he wasn't even likely to notice if she dropped down at this point to get a line of sight, and he probably wouldn't even bother to move until it was far, far too late for it to matter. She smiled softly at him for a few moments, "I have to admit Naruto, you really are good."

The smile on Naruto's face only widened at that, enjoying the praise that he was receiving, "Thanks, Tenten. That really means a lot coming from you."

The weapon mistress chuckled for a few moments and shook her head, still watching Naruto in front of her closely, "Well, I have to admit, I really didn't expect you to be as good as you turned out to be. It was quite a surprise. I think even Sakura was surprised, right Sakura?" There was no answer from Sakura who was still staring straight up into the foliage, lying exactly where she had been when Naruto had knocked her over. It didn't look like she had the strength to answer let alone stand. Tenten shrugged a bit, as best she could considering that she was stuck to the tree behind her by kunai knives that had been pressed into her shirt just above her shoulder, "I'm sure she was impressed, Naruto. None of us expected you to be so strong and so fast. You really have made something of yourself."

Naruto had started blushing and was laughing bashfully as he rubbed the back of his head, "Well, I'm really glad that you feel that way, Tenten. You weren't all that easy to beat either though. You two were working together really well." He laughed a bit more, seeming to find the whole situation rather humorous.

Tenten smiled as she looked at Naruto for a few more moments. Now her plan was working perfectly. While they had been battling they had been moving around far too much, but as long as she was only engaging Naruto in idle conversation, he seemed to be quite content to just stand there and do nothing. She decided that the best way to keep him standing there, perfectly still was to continue to flatter him with kind words, "Well, Naruto, I have to admit that it would have been a little bit easier for me if you had been wearing your coat, after all, it is hard to hit to pin and not wound when you don't have bits of clothing to aim at." She seemed to pause for a moment, considering her next words carefully, "Really though, I don't think I would have been able to hit you anyway with the speeds you were moving at."

Naruto continued to laugh, now actually feeling a bit bad about all of this, since he really hadn't given them a fair fight. He continued to rub the back of his head, "Ha, yeah...sorry about that. I probably wouldn't have taken my coat off if I had known that you guys were going to come out and spar with me or something." He really did feel bad about all of this now that he had won, and wondered briefly if they would challenge him to some other sparring challenge or something that would be more fair to them.

Tenten just watched Naruto for a few more moments. She had no idea what was taking Ino so long. The female ninja should have been on the move by now. Surely she realized what it was that was going on. Tenten couldn't believe that Ino wouldn't have figured out this new plan yet. Unfortunately, Tenten was running out of things to talk about, and Ino still hadn't made her move. If Ino didn't move soon, Naruto was going to move, probably over to Sakura to see if she was okay. It was random luck that Naruto hadn't run over to Sakura to check on her yet. She took a deep breath, "That was pretty clever where you used the weapons that I had been throwing at you in order to pin me up against the tree here. I wouldn't have expected you to do something like that."

The blond male raised an eyebrow and laughed softly, "Really? It seemed like a good idea at the time, so I just went with it. I really wasn't even sure that it was going to work on you."

Tenten laughed softly and then stared at Naruto for a few more moments with her chocolate eyes. Why wasn't Ino making her move yet? Tenten swallowed hard. She had run out of options here, "So, Naruto, it looks like you beat us." She closed her eyes, trying to prevent her blush before it started, "Had you put any thought into what you wanted as a prize?" She swallowed hard again, keeping her eyes closed, hoping very much that the male ninja wouldn't fall to his hormones and decide that what he wanted was something sexy.

Naruto blinked as he looked at Tenten. He really wasn't sure what was going on, but it looked like Tenten was hitting on him or something. It was odd, because he had always thought that she had a thing for Neji. He brought his hand up to rub the back of his head, rubbing it. Really he hadn't expected that there would be any kind of prize at the end of the match, or he would have thought a bit more about while he had been fighting with them. He continued thinking about it very hard. He could think of a few things that he really would have liked. Among them was for them to take him out and buy him some ramen, which really he thought was the most acceptable desire that he had. His other desires were a bit fleshy, and he was pretty sure that neither Sakura, nor Tenten would have any interest in engaging in those kinds of activities with him. He wondered for a moment if the whole idea of Tenten asking him about what kind of prize he wanted was trying to hint that she wanted to engage in a sexy activity with him. Maybe Neji wasn't very good in bed. He tilted his head to the side as he looked at Tenten.

"You want me to pick a prize?" He asked as he looked at her, almost asking her if she was sure. Tenten swallowed hard, nodding, her eyes still closed. Why hadn't Ino made her move yet? "And I could ask for anything as a prize?" Tenten nodded again. This was some kind of joke, right? Ino was just trying to put her in an uncomfortable position. Ino had probably already taken over Naruto's body, and was just playing with her. That was it, this was just Ino's idea of a joke, "Well...I suppose what I want-"

Ino had dropped down from her hiding spot in the tree and quickly used her body transfer technique on Naruto. The blond haired boy had looked over his shoulder after being interrupted, and raised his eyebrows to see Ino standing there, but before he could make any move to avoid the body transfer technique, it had hit him, and Naruto slumped forward her body crashing against Tenten's, his had falling into her chest. Ino had likewise collapsed, falling to the ground among the roots of the trees. Tenten sighed softly, first quite a bit happy that the whole plan had seemed to have worked out, but not all that pleased that Naruto was now pressed against his body, his head pressed into her breasts. She supposed there was nothing that could be done about that, but it did seem a bit awkward. She brought her hands up, taking a firm hold on the handles of the Kunai before drawing them out of the tree. She then stumbled down, finding herself supporting all of Naruto's weight.

She let out a soft sigh, "Jeez, Ino...I suppose at least you are an expert of dramatic timing."

Sakura had slowly started to push herself up off of the ground. She looked at Naruto, and then over to Ino, "Did it work?"

Tenten shrugged, "I suppose we'll just have to wait and see."

***TBC***

@-BouncyBunny- : Yeah, I really liked the idea of the comedy of errors where everything was taken out of Hinata’s hands because she doesn’t have the guts to do it herself. I’m glad you appreciated the humor.

@Platinumsabr : I work very hard to try and keep the characters in character. It has actually been a bit more difficult in this story since neither Ino or Tenten get a whole lot of airtime, meaning it is a bit harder for me to get their personalities right, I am however, very glad that you like this. I also share your taste in pairings, because that Naru/Hina pairing is one of my favorites as well.

@supadm : Thank you for your support. It is always good to hear that I am appreciated.

@AMkunoichi : Thank you very much. I do plan to continue this story for a bit more. I have enough planned right now for two more chapters, but if I come up with something else by the time I get there I might continue writing.

I appreciate all of your support greatly, and am just so happy that all of you enjoy my story.
