~Author's Note~
So I finally added chpt 2. Actually I wasn't going to and just leave with the first chapter but thanks to
Goodchaos and Lady Laran, I decided to add this, for them. I actually came up with a great idea for this story. I've just been really busy so havn't had much time to write. Sorry that the chapters arn't very long, but you will be rewarded.
Lady Laran-Yes that is the one thing that drives me insane with Sakura too. Sasuke isn't even nice to her. What's up with girls always liking the guys that treat them like crap.
Goodchaos~I know a lot of people hate Sakura and sadly i used to be one of them. But, after I've seene shippuden I fell in love with her and especially the Naru/Saku pairing. They've all grown and matured so much it's beautiful.
Sorry Magic_Touch, you already know about all my stories before i publish them so we'll talk later, lol.

So now chpt 2
Our relationship has grown but how much I’m not sure. I still like her but, she still likes Sasuke. It’s hard for both of us but, I know we will find him and bring him home. I guess she’ll just have to wait and see how much I love her.

Naruto had packed up his things, he was getting ready to go on yet another mission that would hopefully bring them closer to finding Sasuke. Thank Kami Sakura was okay from her battle with the Akatsuki member, Sasori. Now team 7 was heading out to the earth and heaven gate to meet with Sasori’s spy.
Sakura and Naruto both were eager to get Sasuke back, but were not so much looking forward to having Sai as his replacement. This journey, however, seemed to bring the kunoichi and the blonde closer together.
“I don’t get why he has to come.” The blonde whined quietly to his friend.
“Because we need someone else to go along with us Naruto. I don’t like it either but we don’t have any other choice. At least he kinda is like Sasuke.”
“Yeah I guess but, Sasuke is waaay cooler.”
Sakura smiled at Naruto’s sudden show of feelings for their old teammate.
“Yeah Sasuke definitely is cooler.”
“Well, I mean not cooler, just better. Humph.”
Naruto crossed his arms and continued on the journey with a rather tight lip.
“Naruto?”
“hmm.”
“Thank you.”
“huh? For what?”
Sakura didn’t answer the blonde because the team had stopped at their resting grounds. What a wonderful surprise it was to spend a night at the spa.

The next day would be the big one, it would be the day team 7 would finally get some information on their beloved team member, Sasuke. But for some reason Naruto wasn’t as happy as he thought he’d be.
‘Why do I feel like something horrible is about to happen? Everything is okay, we’ll find Sasuke and bring him back, so why does my stomach feel so miserable. Oh Sakura why does this Uchiha vex you so much? Why him?’
The blonde didn’t know it but, Sakura was beginning to have doubts about Sasuke herself, although that would be a secret that she’d hold inside.

A slow tapping knock was heard from the hollow room. Naruto was slowly waking with his grumbles.
Tap, Tap, Tap. The knock was quite but persistent.
“Yeah, I’m comin’.”
With a yawn, and a half asleep stare, the jinchurican stared for what seemed like minutes, when he opened the door to see a blushing pink-haired chuunin.
“S-Sakura?”
“Naruto, can I talk to you?”
“Yeah sure let me get some clothes.”
The couple headed out for a stroll under the moonlight.
“Naruto, what do you think will happen when we find Sasuke?”
“I don’t know,” there was as short sigh and he continued, “you still love him don’t you?”
The kunoichi shrugged her shoulders and with sad emerald eyes she looked into Naruto’s.
“Yah know I was thinking I never really did love him. I mean yeah I had a crush on him, but you can’t really call it love. I care about him a lot and I do want to be with him. Oh if I could be with him I would but, Naruto…I…What about you?”
Naruto stopped walking and with gentle yet firm hands, he held onto Sakura’s shoulder’s, “Sakura no matter what you do I need you to know something.”
Sakura nodded.
“I will always care about you. I always have loved you that I know. The more we’ve grown up together the more I’ve fallen in love with you. You mean more to me than even becoming HoKage. I mean it. No matter what you choose, I’ll always be there for you when you need me. I’ll hold you forever.”
With that last statement, Naruto pulled Sakura into a tight grasp.
That was the second time Sakura heard those words come out of her friends mouth. Naruto meant a lot to her but, she didn’t want to break his heart. She always thought of him as a friend. Yet, there was a new feeling scratching at her heart, wishing to come in. Could it be that Haruno Sakura was falling in love with Uzumaki Naruto?
Naruto leaned down to kiss her but Sakura brought two fingers up to his lips.
Shaking her head she whispered, “I won’t use you. Let me get my feelings sorted out first.”
“Okay.”
Naruto walked Sakura back to her room and leaned into the door post before staring deep into her eyes.
“Sakura, I meant what I said earlier you know?”
“yeah thanks.”
Sakura leaned up and gently kissed Naruto on his cheek.
“Goodnight.”
She softly shut the door, and Naruto returned to his room.

What lies ahead of us we may never know. But one thing I do know, I, Uzumaki Naruto will never give up on the one I love. One day Haruno Sakura will see the love I have for her if she hasn’t already. That day nothing will stand in our way. We’ll be together I know it, because in a sense, we are one.
