Chapter 2
Loud voices and laughter met Sasuke’s ears as he reached his classroom. The students were lounging on the desks, some leaning or sitting on them. He walked to his seat, dropped his bag on top of his desk, and ignored everybody.
“Hey, Sasuke-kun!”
Depthless black eyes rolled, as their owner silently groaned. Great. Now he was going to have a migraine for the rest of the day due to his stalker.
“Back off, Sakura! You need to take yourself and your big forehead somewhere else.”
Scratch that. His stalkers.
“What’d you say, Ino-pig? I was talking to Sasuke-kun first! Not you.”
The two girls were glaring at each other from beside Sasuke’s desk. The air was tense between them, making the other students glance over at them and begin to whisper. Sasuke ignored both the girls, opening his bag and getting out his books. He wasn’t interested in them. They only annoyed him.
As the blonde and pink-haired girls were arguing, the teacher walked in. He cleared his throat, demanding attention, sending Ino and Sakura a scathing look. “If you two don’t mind, please sit down,” he ordered, watching them with his hawk-like eyes.
Sakura glared at the blond, before turning around, and smiling at Sasuke, walking to her desk. Ino also followed her example, sitting in her own seat.
“I want to introduce a new student to all of you. He just moved here from Konoha. Please treat him well and show him around.” The new student stood beside the teacher, twitching as every student turned their stares onto him. He had striking blue eyes and a messy blond hairstyle that caused his hair to point in all directions. On both of his cheeks were three claw-like scars that resembled whiskers.
“I am Uzumaki Naruto,” the blond said, bowing to the class. Sasuke couldn’t get his eyes off the blond. For some reason, he had this weird feeling in his stomach as he continued to stare and admire Naruto.
The teacher assigned Naruto to a seat, and turned to the white board to start teaching. The problem was, the seat was right behind Sasuke. As the other boy passed, the raven-haired teen smelt the cologne the other was wearing. Sasuke closed his eyes, then re-opened them. No. He couldn’t get a crush on a classmate. Itachi would find out somehow and ruin it for him.
Deciding to just ignore the transfer student, Sasuke returned his attention to the teacher. Behind him, Naruto was staring at his back.
He gulped nervously as his eyes were trained on the pale skin of Sasuke’s neck. He loved pale skin. It was always so soft whenever he stroked it. For some reason, he loved pale-skinned guys. His last boyfriend, Hyuuga Neji, had pale skin. The thought of Neji caused him to grimace. That relationship did not go too well. Oh, well. It was in the past; done and over with.
Naruto swallowed again, forcing his gaze on the teacher. This was just great. It was the first day at a brand new school and he was already attracted to a classmate.
The bell soon rang, signaling the period was over. Sasuke walked out of the classroom, heading to his next class, intent on not meeting Naruto. The raven-haired beauty rounded the corner, eyes widening, before he crashed to the floor.
“Ouch…Hey! Watch where you’re going!” the other student said rudely, glaring at the pale teen. Sasuke nodded, not looking at him; mere students were not important to him.
“Hey, you’re pretty cute. What’s your name, baby?”
Sasuke blinked. Was he getting hit on. He sighed at the student’s stupidity. “Are you gay?” The other student’s eyes widened, then narrowed, his fists clenching. “I’m a guy, not a girl, dumb ass,” Sasuke declared, standing up and walking past the other.
“No way. You can’t be a girl. You’re way too pretty.” The stupid idiot of an off was beginning to piss off Sasuke. Besides his school outfit, his deep voice should be a clue that he was a male. He decided to keep walking, but froze when a large hand enveloped his wrist. A dull pain flashed through him, but he gave no outward response to the pain, merely looked at the other.
“I don’t believe you. I’ll have to check for myself…”
As soon as those words left he boy’s mouth, dread filled Sasuke. He didn’t want some nameless guy to touch him again. Especially since his body still ached from last night.
The grip on his wrist tightened, the student was pushing Sasuke against the lockers. “We’re going to be late. Now, let go.” The tone in Sasuke’s voice was cold and menacing, as were his eyes. The other boy ignored him, leaning down and kissing his neck, sliding his hand into Sasuke’s school shirt.
Damn it! Why was the hall suddenly so empty? It wasn’t like the raven-haired teen to give up like this. He always fought a little. But he was so damn tired suddenly. The kisses moved to his collarbone as the bell rang.
Dread filled Sasuke. Everybody was in class. Nobody would walk down the hall and come across this happening.
As a hand struggled to get off Sasuke’s belt, the empty black eyes were locked onto another pair of black eyes that were behind a pair of glasses.
Kabuto stood across the hallway, leaning against a row of lockers, calmly watching them. A smile spread across his face, as the silver-haired teen noticed that Sasuke had seen him.
“You really shouldn’t do that to things that don’t belong to you,” Kabuto warned, pushing glasses up his nose. The student glanced up, surprised at seeing another person there. He froze, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights, Sasuke thought. Or like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
“I wasn’t doing anything to him! He came onto me. I’m not some queer!” Kabuto nodded in understanding, walking over. He grabbed onto the boy’s wrist, taking it out of Sasuke’s pants. The boy was forced to twist away from the raven-haired teen as Kabuto’s grip suddenly became a death grip. The student whined, trying to get away, when there was a sick crack and his wrist hung limply in Kabuto’s lax grasp. The teen stared at his hand, eyes going unnaturally wide, and his face pale, before he fell to the ground in a faint.
“Humph. What a weakling,” Kabuto murmured, letting go of him, kicking the body out of his way. Sasuke was still pressed against the locker, pants hanging open, eyes locked onto the body that was on the ground.
“Well, Sasuke-kun, I do hope that this won’t happen again.” Even though Kabuto’s voice sounded friendly, Sasuke could detect a hint of warning mixed in. “Are you still going to come over to keep Orochimaru-sama company, Sasuke-kun?”
Sasuke’s gaze flashed up to Kabuto’s face. His eyes narrowed. So, that was what Itachi was talking about. He buckled his pants again, smoothing his shirt slightly. He shrugged.
“Maybe. Maybe not.”
He knew that the statement pissed off Kabuto as he felt his eyes burning into his back, as he began to walk to class.
A while later, the bell rang again, signaling that the school day was over. Sasuke walked to the front of the school, stopping at the double doors. It was pouring rain outside.
Sasuke sighed, getting out his umbrella from his bad. He glanced up, noticing a mop of blond hair also waiting at the doors.
Naruto watched the rain come down in torrents. He always hated it when it rained. It made him restless. He sighed, shouldering his bad, ready to open the door.
“You’re going to go out in that, dobe?” A voice broke through his thoughts. Naruto blinked, looking behind him, meeting dark, black eyes and a smirk.
“W-what?” Sasuke rolled his eyes. Of course; the blond just had to be stupid. “I asked you, are you going to go out in that, dobe?” he repeated, leaning against the wall.
“Well, yeah. I can’t wait here forever…” Naruto said, ignoring the “dobe” part. He turned back to the doors, ready to open them, when Sasuke stepped up next to him.
“You’ll get drenched. And then get pneumonia and die. So, you’re going to come with me.”
“But I don’t even know you!”
“Uchiha Sasuke. Now, are we going or not?” Naruto stared at Sasuke as if he was crazy. Hot, but crazy. He snorted, smiling to himself. “Sasuke, eh? Alright, Sasuke-temee, let’s get going!”
“Sasuke-temee?” The black-haired teen repeated, opening the doors and opening his umbrella. He let out a small smile as they walked. This Naruto might be weird, but I like him, Sasuke thought, listening to the blond ramble on about ramen.
Since the rain was pounding quite harshly on the fabric of the umbrella, neither heard the car that was a few feet behind them, it’s occupants watching the pair silently. The figure that was seated in the back nodded at the driver, who sped up, passing boys, and turned. So, Sasuke thought he could rebel against him. Well, he would show the little brat who the boss was, Itachi thought to himself smirking, his eyes turning red in the form of the sharingan.
Hmmmm, it seems somewhat short...but oh well. Please review though! I'll try to get the next chapter out quicker next time. ^^
