Chapter 2
Chapter2
Naruto knocked on Sai’s door an hour before the party was scheduled. When he did manage to make it to the parties, Sai always had him help set up. His house was pretty big for only being one story. He had a pool out back with a huge yard, where he had a DJ setting up. Naruto was not sure where to help; for the most part, everything was already set up.
"Naru-kun~ you aren’t really wearing that are you?" Sai scowled as he came out of nowhere.
Naruto laughed nervously and scratched his head. Before he could defend his worn-out jeans and orange shirt with a smiling fox on it, Sai had pulled him into the house and into his room. He started throwing things at Naruto, only to snatch them back a moment later. Naruto suffered being attacked with clothes for several minutes before Sai decided that Naruto would stay in his jeans, and wear a fishnet shirt and a black tank top. He made Naruto remove his sandals and spike his hair more. Naruto laughed as Sai fussed over him. When Sai’s other friends began to show, he left Naruto to walk around and check out the backyard some more. Naruto found himself holding a drink as he walked around the pool as the area, which started filling with people very quickly. Around eight o‘clock, Naruto saw Sakura walk through the crowd with a pretty black haired girl in tow. She was heading straight for him.
"Hey, Naruto. Don’t be rude, say hi to Hinata-chan!"
Naruto blinked. He saw her eyes and realized it really was Hinata. Her hair had been pinned back with cute hair clips. She had a bit of make-up on. She wore a pleated plaid skirt and a small white shirt with cut-up fishnets underneath. She was blushing furiously.
"H-hi Naruto-kun," she whispered.
"Wow! You look great Hinata-chan!" he smiled.
She blushed even more. She moved back, looking for support, but found Sakura missing. Naruto noticed her absence as well, and looked around for her. He saw her talking to a familiar dark haired emo boy. His expression grew dark. He slammed his drink down his throat, almost choking on the burn as it spilled into his stomach. He threw his cup in the trash and excused himself from the stuttering girl. He pushed his way through the crowd, having another drink (or was it two?) before reaching them. Sakura was giggling and pulling on the boy’s arm. Naruto grabbed his shoulder and spun him around.
"Leave her alone, Uchiha," he growled.
"Hn," Sasuke smirked. "Drunk already, dobe?"
"Am not!"
"Naruto, leave Sasuke-kun alone," Sakura snapped.
Naruto looked at her sadly. She had stepped between the two. Sasuke took this chance to slip away. Sakura yelled some more before noticing that the raven was gone. Naruto, too, stormed off. He went for another drink to calm down, and then found Sai.
"Naru-chan! Dance," he commanded.
Naruto slammed down another drink and let himself get pulled out to dance. The music blared and Naruto could not tell what it was. His mood lightened as Sai danced amongst the mass of people. Naruto danced nearby, dancing with no one in particular, but almost dancing with everyone around him. He started laughing and feeling very floaty. The only thing that could bring him down bumped into him just as he was working up a sweat. He turned to see who had hit his back and found Sasuke Uchiha forced into his chest. His arms closed around the boy on instinct to keep him standing. Sasuke was looking around franticly, not yet noticing who held him. Naruto shoved him off.
"What the fuck," he spat.
Sasuke looked to him. His expression darkened. He took one more look around and relaxed.
"You tell me. You were the one holding me, dobe."
Naruto growled. Sasuke smirked, but then found himself being punched in the jaw. Naruto’s eyes were full of anger.
"First you steal my girl, and now you’re throwing yourself into me. What is your problem Uchiha?!"
"You are drunk, Uzumaki. I haven’t stolen anyone," he snapped.
Naruto stared to retort but another body slammed into him, pushing him into Sasuke’s arms this time. His head started spinning. Sasuke was keeping him standing. Naruto pulled himself up and tried to break away. Sasuke’s hold stayed strong.
"You shouldn’t be here. If you know you’re a light weight, why drink?"
"Shut up."
Naruto’s legs gave out and Sasuke’s arm snaked around his waist. Naruto’s vision slid in and out. He heard people talking, and felt himself being led into a car. Before the door shut he stuck his head out and threw up on the ground. He sat back in the car and looked around. It was a cab. And Sasuke was sliding in next to him. The driver was given an address. Naruto’s body felt heavy. His head fell to the side and connected with a shoulder.
"I’ll kill you for this," he mumbled.
"Sure, dobe."
Soon, Naruto was shaken awake and pulled from the car. He saw the manor looming in front of him. Sasuke was helping him walk towards the door. He could not remember how he got there, but knew that Sasuke was the last person he wanted touching him. He pulled away quickly and found himself sitting on the ground.
"Ow!"
"Get up, dobe."
Sasuke leaned down to help him up, but Naruto waved him away. He picked himself up and walked towards the manor. He swayed badly, and Sasuke hovered behind him, ready to catch the blonde. They made it to the steps of the house, and Naruto tripped on them, falling onto them laughing. Sasuke pulled him up roughly by his arm.
"Be quiet," he hissed.
"Shhh!" Naruto laughed, putting a finger on his mouth.
Sasuke scowled and opened the door. He muffled Naruto with his spare hand and led the giggling teen to his room. Lucky for Naruto, Sasuke’s room was downstairs. And lucky for them both, he was the only one downstairs. Sasuke threw Naruto onto the floor. Naruto crossed his legs and turned serious.
"Why did you bring me here?" he snapped.
"You were making a fool of yourself and me. I’ll go upstairs to sleep. I’ll get you up in the morning to go home."
Sasuke turned away from Naruto a little too quickly. Suddenly, the blonde’s head was clear. Sasuke was pulling some clothes from his drawers. The room was a decent size, so when Naruto stood, he still had several feet to close the distance. His blue eyes showed confusion, fear, anger, and something unfamiliar, while his face showed no emotion. A blush covered Sasuke’s neck. Naruto thought back on his days in class. Sasuke always made a point to show off in class. When Naruto had been absent, Sasuke had stayed quiet. Naruto never put much to it, but he seemed to catch Sasuke watching him more than he should have. Naruto wrapped his arms around Sasuke’s shoulders. The boy tensed under his touch. Sasuke had several inches on the blonde, so Naruto’s cheek rested on Sasuke’s shoulder blade.
"You don’t like Sakura-chan, do you?" Naruto whispered.
"Let go," Sasuke warned.
"You don’t like any of the girls, ne Sasuke?"
"You’re drunk Naruto. Let go of me."
"I may be drunk Sasuke, but I know what’s going on. I know what I’m doing."
"You have no idea what you’re talking about. Let go before I make you."
"Make me then," Naruto whispered into his ear.
Sasuke blushed ten shades of red. He spun around and grabbed Naruto’s shoulders, pushing him away. He was furious. Despite his fear, Naruto grinned. Sasuke snarled at him. He shoved Naruto backwards. Naruto let himself fall to the ground.
"You know, if you’re curious, you could have asked," Naruto said softly.
"Shut up!" Sasuke yelled.
"It makes sense. You never like the girls to be even near you. And you’re always watching me. That’s a little weird, teme, but hey you’ve got good taste!"
Sasuke was on top of him, hands on his throat within a blink. Naruto gasped for air but found he could not breath from the pressure. Naruto pleaded with his eyes to be released. Sasuke slacked up to allow him to breath. Naruto took his chance to explore what was happening. It was clear to him now the Uchiha on top of him had a thing for him. He thought of Sakura. She was pretty, but so was Sasuke. Naruto blushed at his own thoughts. He had always fancied himself in love with the pink haired girl, but as he examined it, he found it to be no more than a small crush. And Sasuke seemed to be the one taking the attention from Sakura Haruno. Naruto had always been curious, but it hit him that his curiosity should have ended years ago. He was sixteen, most guys he knew were over these things by fourteen at the longest. Sasuke’s grip had lost all fire as he stared at Naruto.
‘God he’s beautiful. I swore I’d never do this. It can’t happen. I’m an Uchiha!’ Sasuke thought to himself.
Sasuke let go of Naruto and stood up. He went back to his clothes. He threw some at Naruto.
"Maybe you’ll be sober in the morning," Sasuke said icily.
"I am sober, Sasuke."
"Don’t call me that, dobe."
"You called me Naruto."
"N-no, I didn’t."
Naruto stood up. The pajamas he was holding were black with the Uchiha clan symbol on them, and were made of silk. Naruto ignored Sasuke and pulled off his shirts. Sasuke tried not to look, but failed miserably. Naruto’s chest was smooth and well defined. Sasuke’s shades of red returned. He turned around.
"D-dobe! What are you doing?"
"Well, if you don’t like me, it shouldn’t be a problem, Sasuke."
"I told you not to call me that."
Sasuke heard Naruto’s jeans hit the floor.
"Is there somewhere you want me to put my clothes?"
Sasuke could not make his voice work.
‘Dammit Sasuke! You’re the dobe. It’s the one thing you’ve wanted, and you won’t admit to it,’ he cursed himself.
Sasuke closed his eyes and started for the door. He bumped into something warm and opened his eyes. Naruto was looking up slightly. Sasuke was standing against his bare chest.
"I’m not drunk Sasuke. I’m not stupid either."
Sasuke forced himself to look into Naruto’s eyes. His own eyes betrayed the mask he wore. Naruto’s eyes seemed to see straight into Sasuke’s soul. Naruto reached up and brushed a dark lock from Sasuke’s cheek. Sasuke growled and grabbed Naruto’s hand.
"Never figured you to be gay, Uzumaki, but I’m not like that," he hissed.
"You’re eyes say something a little different Sasuke."
"Stop."
"No."
Sasuke felt himself losing control. He pushed Naruto hard and the blonde took a few steps back to catch himself. Sasuke took his chance to leave the room and slam the door. He fell back onto the door, breathing hard. That boy had too much power over him. Sasuke shook his head. He looked down at the clothes in his hands. He blushed, knowing the ones he gave Naruto matched the ones in his arms.
‘You are an Uchiha,’ he reminded himself. ‘You have a duty to your clan. You can’t be gay.’
He took a deep breath and walked down the wall to remove his jeans and tee shirt and put on the silk bottoms and black tank. He left his feet bare and left the bathroom he had retreated to. He saw Naruto standing outside his room wearing the bottoms but still no shirt. He was sitting against the wall, hands in his face. As Sasuke approach, his heart was breaking. He started walking past the boy, not even looking down. A hand grabbing his pants stopped him.
"I’m sorry Sasuke," he whispered.
"We aren’t friends Uzumaki."
The hand tightened on his pants. Sasuke was mentally screaming at himself. He knew he was denying himself what his heart really desired.
"I know. I don’t want your friendship."
Sasuke closed the pain off. He put up his cold defense. He reminded himself that had been why he had stayed away from the blonde.
"I want more."
Naruto knocked on Sai’s door an hour before the party was scheduled. When he did manage to make it to the parties, Sai always had him help set up. His house was pretty big for only being one story.
