Kurenai had decided to send Naruto to Asuma's small training lodge, she hadn't seen it but she knew where it was. Asuma used it more as a get away then actually a training shelter, it wasn't a big place, one big room with an outdoor bathroom, but it was the only one she knew would be safe. Naruto was used to camping and would have no problem with the small building it even had an extra large futon. Shikamaru had been surprised to receive the summons from Kurneai, it was nearing ten o'clock at night. He arrived at her home to find Naruto there, "Yo, what's up? Kurenai sent for me." Naruto had a bad feeling about this, the young genius was really looking good and that made Naruto nervous. Kurenai came back from laying Asu down and greeted the cloud watcher. "Oh good Shika you're here. I need you to take Naruto to Asuma's old training lodge, he'll need to stay for a few days to brush up on some private training alone. But I want you to come straight back alright?" Shikamaru looked at the two, something was going on and it didn't add up.

Naruto looked at him then quickly at the floor, Shika who saw the move watched as a blush crept up the other young man's face. "What kind of training Naruto?" Naruto looked up quickly and then stammered, "Uh well it's really just... I mean I need to study about,... it's just nothing really." Now Shika knew something strange was going on, he nodded to Kurenai and assured her it'd be no problem and then waiting on Naruto to say goodbye they set off to gather his things from his apartment.

"So what's this really about Naruto? Because I know something's up, you're acting weird." Naruto who was feeling very vulnerable due to the hormone surges snapped back, "How am I acting weird Nara?" Shika shrugged then answered, "You haven't smiled once and you just seem nervous, Sakura is no where to be seen so what's causing it?" Naruto hugged himself and then started walking ahead of the pineapple haired ninja. "It's nothing I just need to hurry and get there okay?"

The two traveled in silence for a while before Naruto signaled he needed to stop. Jumping down to ground level he put his pack down. "Um sorry Shika, but I need to go, okay? Can you give me a minute or two in the bushes?" Shikamaru waved him off and sat down to lean back against a tree. Shikamaru nodded then thought, 'was his hair that long earlier, man I really am tired, I'm seeing things, and now I get to travel in the rain, it's starting to come down'. He turned and just said, "Yeah, yeah just keep your shirt on. The food goes over here and he had a hotplate down here... yep here it is. There are more blankets and sheets for the futon in this cabinet. And in the bathroom there are towels and stuff."
