Beyond Hope
Chapter 2
The Situation
Uh…uh…..Where am I? Tsunade thought as slowly regained consciousness.
Blearily opening her eyes, she couldn't help but curse as a migraine from the night before hit her like a train.
What had she done last night?
Deciding to think after she had gotten rid of the headache, Tsunade started her own personal, ingenious solution to recover from a hangover. Circulating chakra through her neural pathways, she created a sort of buffer that blocked the nerve in her brain which dealt with pain. It had literally taken her years of chakra control exercises and her own personal skills in medication to be able to control the minute amount of chakra that was traveling towards her brain. Any other medic, when asked, would declare such an action suicidal, as the brain was a bundle of mystery and should not be tampered with in the least. Tsunade, however, needed something to deal with the pain from constant hangovers, and so, invented the procedure within the hour. This just went on to show what many called her prodigious talent in the medical field.
This, however, was not the thing to be worried about.
As Tsunade slowly regained her ability to think, last night's events hit her with the subtlety of a freight train. She remembered the weird taste of the sake she had drunk as a token of celebration, and the drugs mixed within. She had tried to isolate the poison, but in her grief, forgot that she was past her limit, and thus, too slow to react.
Cursing herself for her stupidity, she quickly regained stock of the situation.
"A hospital room? What am I doing here?" Tsunade said.
A patient's garb? That means…
The thought that someone had changed her without her permission quickly infuriated her. Reaching for her kunai, she was shocked to find it gone. Whoever had changed her had taken all the weapons she had had hidden on her. Even the emergency kunai she kept sealed on her body, through a sealing tattoo.
That helped her know something more about the situation. Whoever had taken her must have had at least some idea of what a ninja of her caliber was capable of, and acted accordingly.
Stupidly enough, however, they had forgotten to seal her chakra, and that was the biggest mistake they could have made. With her chakra available to her, she could easily get out of this room.
Already enraged that somebody had touched her without her permission, Tsunade charged chakra into her fist and with a roar of rage, swung it at the only other way out of the room, the door.
She already had a plan to find whoever had taken her and teach them the consequences of messing with a ninja, especially her, a Senju.
As her fist neared the door, however, seals carved seemingly in every inch of the room started to glow and sucked the chakra she had gathered up as if she had punched a black hole.
"AHHHHHHH!" Tsunade roared, and quickly charged up another punch, starting to swing wildly at any solid wall within reach. To her anger, however, the same thing happened each and every time.
Calming herself down, Tsunade thought of what to do.
I can't leave, even with the use of my chakra. That means that I will have to wait until somebody comes to get me.
Observing her surroundings, she quickly found a dark corner and sat herself down in wait.
In The Next Room
"There she is, I….."
"I wonder how he…."
"Look at her, helpl…"
"SILENCE," cried a voice.
Out of the crowd of fat, seedy men, stepped forth a man of medium build. Wearing a crisp business suit, his whole demeanor portrayed a professional man getting ready to do a business deal.
"My name is Dengie Green and I have gathered all of you here today for one reason and one reason only. Now, as you may have already guessed from the one-way mirror, the person on the other side is none other than Tsunade Senju. All of you here today hold some type of debt with said person and I am happy to tell you that she will be made available to all of you, for a price of course," continued Dengie.
Emerging from the crowd of Tsunade's debt holders, Hizure Tokomo, the seemingly gang leader, stepped forward.
"For a price! HAHAHAH! You must be joking. She already owes us all some type of payment or another. Why would we, in our wildest dreams, give you any more money to apprehend her when we can just as easily take her ourselves," Hizure replied.
"Because," Dengie continued, "as you can see, her chakra is not sealed, at least not until I am paid for her. Thus, if you don't want to pay me, I can just as easily release the door with this button, and then where will we be?"
Hizure only sneered, "You think we would waste our money when we know perfectly well that she cannot pay us back. What would we do with her?"
Dengie, seemingly unaffected by the disgruntled crowd in front of him, continued with even hesitating "Make her a slave to do your bidding of course."
"Thus, my offer, as it stands, is that I will help you break Tsunade Senju to do your bidding, in return for $1,000,000,000 yen," Dengie offered.
At first outraged, Hizure's face, mirroring the face of everybody else in the room, slowly became lecherous at the thought of breaking Tsunade Senju. Tsuande, with her genjutsu active, looked like a wet dream for even gay men, especially with her generous assets. For the price of $1,000,000,000 yen, they would be able to do whatever they wanted with her.
Hizure turned around, talking with his fellow colleagues, and came to a decision.
"Fine," said Hizure, "we will pay you in return for Tsunade Senju, however, should you betray us…."
"Good," replied Dengie, giving no sign that he had heard the threat, "once the payment is completed, chakra holding seals will be applied to her and she will be turned over to all of you."
They shook hands.
