Chapter 20: Of wedding plans and dates:

They woke up in Sasuke´s bed the next morning, embracing each other in their sleep.

´Guess we somehow managed to get to bed though I don´t think that something other than kissing occurred.` Sasuke thought a bit disappointed as he looked into the peaceful face of the blonde, who was mumbling softly in his sleep.

He could feel the punishment from last night´s dinner.

“Damn, I drank to much wine last night.” He muttered.

“… #Yawn# Morning beautiful… Did you say anything?” Naruto smiled softly; his eyes still closed while snuggling closer to the other man´s warm body.

“Hangover.” Sasuke told the blonde. He leaned closer and kissed Naruto´s forehead softly.

“Mmmm, really? I don´t feel a thing other than the delightful feeling of your warmth, Teme.” The blonde purred.

“… And you drank at least as much as I did.” Sasuke said with fake annoyance.

“Must be my advanced healing. Even now after the fox is gone I still have a lot of his treats.”

“Lucky you.” Sasuke told him while running his hands up the blonde´s clothed back; feeling the muscled skin beneath it.

´Damn, I can´t wait to feel your naked skin against mine… I love you so much. Come to think of it… it has always been you… you and no one else… I know that I have had others before… and so have you, but this connection between us is something special.` The Uchiha thought as he ignored his hangover while watching his lover soon to be.

“I know this is really cozy and all.” Yawned the blonde. “And I hate to ruin the mood… but I got to pee.” He grinned.

“Hn.” Sasuke hummed as he reluctantly released his blonde from his embrace.

“We have to get up anyway… we have to be at Iruka´s place in thirty minutes, remember.”

“I rather not… you can take a shower in the bathroom here and I´ll shower downstairs.” Sasuke told Naruto as he too crawled out of his warm bed.

Sasuke stared with annoyance down to his plate. Food wasn´t really what he wanted the most right now. Naruto had been so considerate and had forced Sasuke to take some painkillers before they had left his mansion, but the nausea was still there. He decided to stick to the aromatic coffee that Iruka had offered him a little while ago and some fresh fruit.

Naruto was chatting cheerfully with his surrogate father as he munched on his food.

“So, you two are going to get hitched?” Naruto asked as he chose to ignore the sour looking Uchiha.

“Yes, and we would like you two to be at our side when we get married. Naruto, I love you like a son and I would be honored if you would be my best man.” Iruka asked softly.

“Thank you, Iruka-sensei, of course I´ll be your best man.” The blonde cheered as he got up to be able to hug his foster father.

“And I would like you to be mine; Sasuke.” Kakashi told the Uchiha. Sasuke stared at the silver-haired nin in surprise.

“… But I´m still considered a traitor to Konoha, do you think it is wise to ask me to do something like that? I even got my own escort back this morning. (A/N: The ANBU)” Sasuke said quietly.

It was an honor for the Uchiha, that his former sensei considerate him worthy of something important as his best man to the wedding Kakashi had been wanting for so many years.

“Don´t say stupid things, Sasuke. I wouldn´t have asked you if I thought of you as a traitor. You were only thirteen when you left. A lot of things happened in your life; crazy hormones and feelings. Itachi and the Akatsuki snooping around just made things worse… I know what it´s like to feel desperate and alone, Sasuke. Too have to make hard decisions only to find out that they might have been wrong ones.”

“… Sensei… I?” Sasuke didn´t know what to say. Kakashi had hit the nail head-on and it made the Uchiha feel somewhat better to know that he wasn´t as hated and resented as he had feared. People cared… his real friends still cared about him, though he had hurt them intentional and unintentional.

“Just say yes, will you.” Kakashi told the raven.

“… Yes, I accept. I would be glad to be your best man.”

“Cool!” Naruto cheered and hugged Sasuke tightly.

“Dobe! Keep it down, will you.” Sasuke growled as he hugged the blonde back. He loved this new closeness between them. Naruto did this of his own free will, which meant that he liked this closeness too, right?

“Gomen, gomen, Sasuke… I forgot about your hangover.” The blonde grinned as he ruffed a hand through raven locks.

“So what´s the story between you two? I thought you were fighting again and here you are, hugging each other.” Kakashi asked with a smirk.

“…” Naruto stopped grinning and just smirked at Sasuke while sipping at his coffee. ´The ball is in your courtyard now, Teme.`

“We´re renewing our friendship and taking it a step further.” Sasuke said with a smirk as Naruto nodded to back him up.

“Really?” Kakashi said with a growing smile. “So are you together then?”

“Nah, we just started dating.” Naruto told him.

“Oh, why?” The copy-nin asked. He was hoping to get some reason for Naruto´s strange behavior in the past seven months.

“… Well, I…” Naruto began, but soon went silent. He didn´t want to tell anything about his former relationship with Itachi, the incident with the Kyuubi, the near death experience, the death and funeral of his former lover, his career change and a groping Sasuke in the morgue. To much had happened during the last few months and Naruto really didn´t want to talk about it right now.

“We have been separated for years, so we want to take the time to get to know each other again.” Sasuke said; turning the focus away from his blonde, who looked deeply in thoughts.

“Tell me about the wedding, Iruka-sensei.” Sasuke asked the brunette. ´This is the best way to make everyone think of something else, though I´ll have to endure hours of throbbing headaches and talk about wedding guans, flowers, food and overly sugared cakes.` Sasuke thought. Not that he would really mind if only Naruto would smile again.

“Thank you for asking, Sasuke-kun. Well, we thought of a small but romantic ceremony at the waterfall beneath the Hokage wall.” Iruka explained with great vigor.

´Here we go… hours of babbling…` The Uchiha thought as he refilled his cup with some more coffee. His eyes caught Naruto´s as he poured some coffee into the blonde´s half filled cup.

The look in those fabulous blue eyes told Sasuke how grateful the blonde was for the change of subject. Their hands connected beneath the table as the listened to Iruka and Kakashi as they told them about their dream wedding.

Three hours later:

“Thank you for being so patient with Iruka-sensei… I know that you feel sick and don´t really like these social things.” Naruto told the raven as they walked through the streets of Konoha.

“Hn.”

“I wanna thank you for the diversion too… I really didn´t want to talk about the stuff that has happen to me lately. I owe you one, Sasuke, or rather I owe you twice.” The blonde grinned. He knew that he already owed the raven for letting him have Itachi´s belongings and now this.

“Go out with me tonight, Naruto.” Sasuke stopped walking and looked directly into Naruto´s pure blue eyes.

“Sure, where do you wanna go?” Naruto asked. Ever since the cremation of his former lover he had decided to fulfill Itachi´s dying wish to make his otouto happy. After all he had always had a crush on Sasuke since… well since forever and had even dreamed of being with Sasuke though he felt love and compassion for the older Uchiha.

It was time to let go of the past, as there was no future in reliving it over and over. Yes, he would never forget what he had with Itachi… but he was gone and Sasuke was still here… still breathing… still warm.

“Would it be alright to pick some food up somewhere and eat it back at my place? I know it don´t really count as going out but I don´t really want to get into trouble because people hate me, and I don´t want the ANBU to breathe down my neck. I want it to be just you and me… like yesterday evening.”

“No prob, Teme. Let´s order some take-out then, and we can have a date at your place… just like a picnic ne?”

“It was really nice of Iruka and Kakashi to choose flowers for the wedding from Ino´s shop. I´m sure she´ll make something special just for them.” Naruto said as he put a piece of chicken in his mouth from one of the many boxes with different contents they had bought earlier.

Sasuke tilted his head to the side, staring at those lovely lips instead of listening.

“Sasuke?”

´Maybe I should just grab him and keep on kissing him till he gives in and let me f*** him.` Sasuke debated with himself.

“Sasu-kun? Are you listening to a word I´m saying or are you too preoccupied with drooling over me?” The blonde tried to tease the raven, but with no effect

´Or maybe I should just ravish him right away and pound him into the floor… Mmmm like the thought of that…` The Uchiha wiped off the drool as his lips curled upwards into a smirk.

“DAMN IT, TEME, come over here and KISS ME already.” Naruto almost shouted, which finally seemed to get the Uchiha´s attention.

“You want me to kiss you?”

“Teme, you have been drooling over me for the last fifteen minutes. I don´t need to be a mind reader to guess what you´re thinking about, baka.” The blonde smirked. “So get your pissy ass moving and kiss me already.”

Sasuke got to his knees and crawled over to his blonde. Naruto had talked him into eating on the floor next to the fireplace – to make it seem as if they were actually on a picnic.

They had closed the curtains and sat on a soft rug on the living-room floor. It was rather romantic as the only light in the room was emitted by about fifty candles and the light from the burning fire in the fireplace.

Neither Sasuke nor Naruto was normally the type of guys who could be considerate as the romantic type… but both felt rather… comfortable and turned on by their surroundings.

“Naruto… do you know how I feel when I´m around you?” Sasuke purred as he straddled the sitting blonde.

“… Hot? Naughty? Aroused?” Naruto asked with a smirk.

“Yes… but there is more… so much more,” Sasuke said; letting out a deep breath.

“Like what?”

“I feel safe around you, Naruto. I don´t have to hide who I really am when I´m with you.”

“You shouldn´t have to hide your feelings, Sasuke. But I know what you mean and understand why you put on an act… I have done it for years and I hate it. I feel safe around you too so let us stop pretending and just be who we really are from now on ne?” Naruto said.

“Dobe?” Sasuke leaned closer, so close, lips only inches away from touching.

“Hai?” Naruto wrapped his arms around Sasuke´s back; holding him tightly to keep him on his lap. (A/n: As if Sasu-kun would move away from Naru-kun´s lap heh... heh)

“Naruto… I… I love you.” Sasuke whispered softly. How would Naruto react to this? He knew that Naruto was still moaning his brother´s death… his lover´s death… but he had to tell him about his feelings this time, so he wouldn´t lose him again. He looked into honest blue eyes which sparkled back at him.

“Sasuke… thank you.” Naruto purred. “You have no idea how many times I have dreamt of this moment… of you saying those words to me and really mean it.” Tanned arms drew him closer as their lips connected in a soft kiss.

“I love you too, Sas´ke; always have… always will.” Naruto moaned as their lips parted. His hands were already feeling up the smooth texture of the pale skin on Sasuke´s back.

“Do you accept me as yours?” Sasuke whimpered. He had longed so long for Naruto´s hands on his heated skin… too long he had dreamt of this and he would be damned if he would fight the blonde for dominance right now… he didn´t mind who was seme or uke right now as long as Naruto would be his and he would be Naruto´s.

“Only if I get to be yours too, Sas´ke.”

“Oh, I would love to have you.” The raven chuckled with a naughty smile on his lips.

“Then take me.” Naruto gave Sasuke a soft kiss. “I´m yours #Kiss# for all #kiss# eternity, if you want me to.”

Sasuke felt his heart pound against his ribcage with unknown vigor. Naruto wanted him… really wanted him.

“… Sasuke, is something wrong? Was it something I said?” Naruto asked with concern as the Uchiha seemed to be spacing out.

“It was something you said… but it could never be wrong. You just made me the happiest man on the planet, Naruto.” Sasuke smiled softly at the other man who looked a bit puzzled.

“You said you wanted me, dobe.” The raven chuckled.

“Baka, I know what I said… now… kiss me, teme.” The blonde grinned.

Their lips touched in a soft kiss; soft tissue of sensitive skin pressing against each other and a spark of something special ignited the passionate fire in both men.

Naruto felt Sasuke´s lips move against his and returned the favor by trailing his tongue against the Uchiha´s lower lip; asking for permission to enter.

“I believe you have to let go of me if I´m to succeed in getting your shirt off, teme, or would you prefer to leave it on?” The blonde chuckled teasingly.

“Touching you is just so addictive, dobe.” Sasuke hummed as he reluctantly let go of Naruto´s back to be able to get the reward of more close contact with the one he loved more than life itself. Naruto chuckled at the Uchiha´s statement as he slid the annoying piece of garment of his lover´s pale torso.

Their naked chests pressed against each other and hands want exploring as their lips met in a passionate kiss. Each kiss and soft touch was a declaration of a love so pure and deep that it left the two men dizzy.

“Ah… Sas´ke… I want more…” Naruto moaned as he felt the raven-haired man grind his hips against his groin.

Sasuke urged Naruto to lie down onto the rug with one hand on his shoulder and one behind his head so he wouldn´t get hurt.

“Then show me.” Naruto purred as tanned hands ran up the raven´s clothed thighs before he unbuttoned Sasuke´s black pants.
