AN:Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay......it's been a few months hasn't it? Yes yes it has...-sighs-...sorry about that guys, schools been kicken my ass all over the place and it was hard to get this beta'd. I do HOPE you all enjoy this next chapter. Yes it's short...however the next chapter will be EXPLOSIVE I promise. AND the next chapter should be out much faster with school winding down...(WOOT!!) Well, without further ado, please enjoy!!

The single sharingan eyes whirled as he moved into the city. The destruction was evident even as the rain poured down hard. He knew he shouldn’t have left such a simple task to Pain. Even with the information Zetsu had relayed he was not pleased with the situation. He had sent Zetsu ahead to clear the dead bodies. His city would not be destroyed because of Pains’ incompetence, nor his own goals hindered. He landed lightly on one of the many tall buildings, looking down into the carnage of the city. He twisted his head. Sasuke was very close. And Itachi. His eyes turned back to the large thrashing tails around the emerging demon, Itachi was fighting to keep the human inside alive. Foolish. He should have killed the demon when he had the chance and not play this petty game.

“One of the Sannins is here in the village. Pain has engaged with him.” Came a voice from beside him. Madara did not even look at the women.

“Pain should be fighting to get the demon. Not sharing old memories with a former Sensei.” He spoke slowly, an edge to his voice. Konan didn’t move,

“He is making sure the Sannin will not disrupt our plans of capturing the demon.” She responded her voice dry and flat. She had been forced to escape when Pain had arrived to face against Jiraiya.

“That Sannin is of no importance. Fighting for nostalgia sake is petty. Our goal is the demon.” He hissed eyes still on Kyuubi. That power would be his, along with the rest of the demons. His goals would be realized. One way or another.

The rain was coming down harder on him. Soaking through his blood stained clothes, slicking his skin. His breath was ragged as he came to a short stop, hand tracing the handle of his blade, eyes pointing forward before he pushed off the muddy ground. He couldn’t stop. Not with being so close. He had to save Naruto. That was all that was on his mind. He had to save him. Before everything was destroyed. That smile. That laugh. Everything he had hated. That will to live and fight for a greater cause then himself. He wasn’t going to let the very essence of Naruto disappear. He saw in the distance the smoke, and fire. He could smell burning flesh. He could FEEL the over whelming chakra. It was heavy with rage and pure evil.

“Naruto. Just wait. A little bit longer.” Sasuke whispered into the rain, “I’m almost there.” He pushed the wet locks back out of his face, the straining sharingan eyes blurring for a moment. He hissed and shoved forward even faster. Eating up the miles over the rocky hillside that spread like jagged upturned teeth. He was moving deeper and higher into the mountains, the rocks split revealing sprawling steel and sky high buildings. Sasuke nearly staggered back. The mountains seemed to have created a barrier of sorts. To this…this sight. This feeling. It seemed to rip through to his very soul. Naruto. His Naruto. The amount of chakra he was letting loose. He was surprised the vary mountains hadn’t collapsed inward. It was a overwhelming feeling. A chilling scream echoed through the raining valley. His swirling sharingan eyes widened all the more. He had never seen that amount of chakra come from one person. The rain poredeven harder down on him, but it didn’t even seem to be able to touch the beast that roared. Those tails bringing the village down around it. Those eyes glowed with rage. Another scream erupted from the mouth and he pushed off from the rock. And then he saw him. Itachi. The anger welled up inside of him and he pulled the blade out, the metal singing.

Kisame panted hard, his grip tight on Samehade. He couldn’t keep fighting like this. Even with two destroyed, the others knew when and how to attack. He cursed under his breath. Something was very wrong. Itachi should have been able to stop the beast. Get him under control. He snarled and twisted around blocking a sudden attack, a long haired Pein coming down towards Itachi.

“Itachi!” He growled in warning, the closed eyes had blood seeping out, the mouth in a firm line. Kisame shoved out, catching the ‘Human realm’ Pein hard in the shoulder, bringing him down.

“Destroy the demon, Itachi!” Kisame snarled, Samehade shrieked, the chakra get pulled from his body, the rippling barbed scales on the sword practically quivered in resistence.

“No you don’t!” He caught the other hard in the face with a foot before he was twisted to the ground a pale hand coming to his face.

“Too. Weak.” The Pein leered. Before he stopped. A single shocked expression coming over his eyes as a blade sliced through his middle and down, the blood gushing out to the muddy water logged ground and collapsed

“You’re next.” Sasuke’s chest was heaving as his blade came down ready to take Kisames head.

“Brother.” The single word made the blade stop. “You should have never come.” Itachi had one eye opened, the other closed, blood poring from the corner. Sasuke felt his heartbeat pound deep in his chest. Naruto was getting ripped apart. He could already be gone. And his demon released. And Itachi. Itachi…The desperation to take revenge for the murder of his family, his clan, welled up inside of him, hotter and faster then he could stop it. His sharingan spun as rage filled ever fiber of his being.

“You murdering son of a bitch.” He hissed. A small part of him fought though. Take control of his anger. There was another reason he was here. Why he had fought so hard and traveled so far.

“You’re blind to what has been going on. This is not just about one clan. One person.” Itachis voice was like it used to sound.

“Your hate carried you far. But…” Sasuke’s entire body thrummed, the mangyko on him, “…but see where your love has brought you.” The voice filled around him and he was with Itachi in those familiar dripping caves. Naruto’s inner world where the demon resided. The cage was no long there. The seal broken. And Naruto. Naruto was getting ripped apart with the demon.

“Madara will not spare us. He can still be saved but you must do it. Naruto’s life for mine. Will that settle our clans’ debt?” Sasuke couldn’t tear his eyes from the sight and when Kyuubi’s raged filled eyes were on him, that chakra moved fast and hard, the tails possessivly clamining Naruto’s soul.

“Why are you doing this?” Sasuke asked, his voice strained. The fact Itachi…was not fighting him…trying to kill him…the fact he himself wasn’t trying to take the revenge he had thirsted for, for so many years….confused him. Frustrated him.

“Not everything is as it seems little brother. Save him. Protect him. Cherish him.” Itachi faded into the cawing midnight colored crows. Sasuke felt his body stiffen and his sharingan’s power surged in him.

“I knew the evil that surpassed even Madaras lived in you Uchiha. But you’re human is already gone. . .” Came the roaring hissing voice from the nine tails.

Their group was spread out as they moved through the muddy low hills and into the mountains. Anyone that got in their way was to be killed instantly. The evil tint in the sky had cast an even more foreboding over cast to the rain as they sped towards their destination. Kakashi and Iruka led in the middle, the rest of the group fanning out on either side.

Neji’s eyes widened as the sight became clearer to him, and he knew Hinata could see the same. Naruto had lost...all control of himself. He was gone. The seal was gone.

“He’s gone.” He spoke softly, were they truly late? Was everything all for naught?

“Gone?! Don’t tell me that stupid blond is gone!!” Kiba roared at hearing the other, Akamaru whining beneath him. Naruto couldn’t be gone. He could still smell him. Though the overwhelming heated scent of that fox was filing every other sense he had. There…there was still Naruto. He was damn sure of it!

“Don’t get worked up yet Kiba” Shikamaru’s mouth set in a firm line. Sasuke had to be in the city by now. Either fight the demon himself or…fighting who had set the demon off. Most of them would be going in on the offensive. Kakashi, Iruka, Neji, and Sai, The rest defensive and with Sakura’s medical prowes she would be important.

“Can he be stopped?” He asked Iruka, the chakra was getting stronger, the earth shaking beneath them. So close.

“Only by an Uchiha can he be fully stopped. But…” Iruka trailed off, not wanting to think about the inevitable if the Nine-Tails was released again. “It would need to be destroyed. Ataksuki cannot have that last bit of power. No matter what.”

AN: -dramatic music enter here- Oh noes!Are they going to have to destroy kyuubi to save the world...how can naruto survive!!!!????

Maybe I can answer a few of those questions now...Will Naruto die? I dunno. Does Itachi want to save konoha from kyuubi's rage and a world-domination fixed pein/madara.....yes. (-points to chapter-) Was Iruka secretly a special Jounin/ANBU........yes. (I thought I cleared that up...hmmm) And Madara isn'tt he God. Pein is..I think..LOL...well..they both are in their own opinions cuz their egos are the size of houses..-clears throat- Thanks so much for being so excited about my story!!
