The Client

( ) = Thought (Always Kakashi)

A/N This chapters a little boring but the next one is a lot more fun. Trust me ;)

Chapter 3: The Client

Kakashi rolled off the bed towards the bathroom, a hot shower would not only clean him up but maybe help put him to sleep after his own little personal display. The water felt good drizziling down his body and running over his muscles, expertly defined through years of training. He closed his eyes and began to rinse his hair. (Bad Move!). Kakashi turned around to turn the hot water to cold, (damn hips, they’re what started this whole thing) After his shower Kakashi crawled back in bed giving himself one last smirk in the mirror above before finally being able to catch some Z’s.

Kakashi woke abruptly at dawn, stretching his hands above his head, locking his fingers and finally raising up to his toes. Every muscle flexed, stretched and moved under his tight skin, the ninja really was something to behold even with bed head and morning breath.

Kakashi got ready for his mission all the while struggling with some very difficult problems. The mission its self would be a breeze, protecting some guy and his son, even if it was A-ranked he doubted it would give him more then a scratch. No the real problem was how to find out which way Iruka liked to swing. (I mean, being a genious and all I’m more then capable of seducing the poor guy for a night, but what I really want is the guy for several nights, and days and well just about everything in between and if he really didn’t want to be with another guy…. well it’s just a little hard to seduce someone into becoming your boyfriend if he likes girls better then you.) So the question still remained, how was Kakashi going to find out if Iruka went for other guys, while still maintaining both his and Iruka’s dignity intact. (Dilemma)

And still there was another problem, what excuse was he going to use to get Iruka by himself once he did figure out what method to use to find out the guys preferences. (I could suggest it would be a good idea to do a patrol together. No, that wouldn’t work….)
Kakashi continued to think up a plan of action as he headed towards Konoha’s large front gate where he was to meet Iruka before heading to a small village about a days walk from there. It was at this small village that they would meet their intended employer. Kakashi wondered if he would be able to find out on the trip to the village, (however that might not be the best of ideas, though we are both professional, if Iruka did in fact….I don’t think I could trust myself, that’s what happens when you hold yourself back so long. One more week shouldn’t matter) Kakashi decided his plan of action would best be suited for the return trip rather then on the way there.

Seeing the large gate grow larger in front of him Kakashi put his contingency plan into the back of his mind, (soon, soon I’ll know everything.) Kakashi snickered to himself, after all he really did mean everything.

“Hey Kakashi, we all set.” Iruka was waving with one hand while the other rested behind his head on the knot of his for head protector. He was swaying back and forth (if he isn’t, I really need to train him to stop doing that). Kakashi landed next to Iruka without a sound.

“Yo, sorry I’m late I was busy thinking up a plan to catch a large fish.”

“A large fish?” Iruka raised an eyebrow. “I think the Fifth is right Kakashi you really need to think up some new excuses.” Kakashi just grinned in response (That was a true excuse, you just have to think of the right pond and the right kind of fish)

The two of them started out towards the small village on the outskirt on Konoha’s border. The place didn’t consist of much, a few small farms and a simply little market selling little more then the bare necessities. Kakashi had been there once before, he wasn’t quite sure why they would be picking up their client at a tiny little blink and you miss it town like that, but he wasn’t some rich guy named Kurosaki either so he decided not to dwell.

************************************************************************

It had been a long days walk, Iruka and Kakashi had talked about a lot (yeah, about two to three words in total) which was odd considering that Iruka was usually very talkative. The little town could now be identified on the horizon by a small trail of smoke that looped and twirled like a snake rising from a basket to dance before its flute playing master. It was really quite tranquil. (This would be a quaint place to honeymoon…I’ll have to remember this for future reference)

Upon entering the village Kakashi and Iruka were able to quickly find the man that they were going to be protecting. “Ah, you must be the ninja from the leaf village, how did you pick me out so quickly? You really must be good.” (He’s kidding right, the guy sticks out like a sore thumb, especially with that bright orange hair. If it was any brighter it would….) Kakashi’s thought was ended when a young boy with bright fuscia colored hair stepped out from behind his father. (Nope on second thought his son stands out more, kinda of like a please kill me target). What made it worse was the fact that they were dressed in lighter color clothes, that were obviously silk, and instead of wearing something that would cover those bright colored shag carpets on their heads, they both had their hair spiked up. It was like they were wearing their own personal location detectors.

“Pretty good disguises huh.” The young boy looked pretty smug. (Sure if your idea of a disguise is dressing up like a giant bullseye while holding a please slaughter me sign) The young boy looked to be about Naruto’s age, and by the confidence in his voice he had the same attitude with a bit of Sauske mixed in. Kakashi shivered at the thought, (a Naruto Sauske mix…god that would be hell to put up with)

“Kon-bon-wa Kurosaki sir we have been sent to be your body guards on your trip to the Hidden Waterfall Village. I am Iruka and this is Hitake Kakashi.”

“Yo.” Kakashi gave his trademark one hand, slight head tilt wave, but Kurosaki didn’t seem in the least bit interested in the white haired man. (What is he staring at, the least he could do is….oh I don’t think so) Kakashi just realized what was going on. Iruka was swaying back and forth and Kurosaki was watching with hungry eyes. (Oh no you don’t you dame pumpkin headed spoiled….if he is his mine, eyes off). Kakashi shot Kurosaki the kind of glare that would kill a man, though he hadn’t seemed to notice the white haired man before he certainly did now. Suddenly a disappointed look came to his face.

“Are you two together?” (You have got to be kidding me…after all that damn planning and this guy comes right out and asks the friggen question like it was nothing)

“Well we are from the same village…and Kakashi is my superior, we work as a team.” Kakashi and Kurosaki gave Iruka a very confused look. (Please tell me….is he really that innocent that he didn’t even catch the real question.) Kakashi glanced at Kurosaki and saw that he had made the very same deduction, and his eyes once again got a hungry lustful look in them, one that this time Kakashi couldn’t diminish with a glare. After all if Iruka was that innocent then technically Kakashi had no claim to him (Fuck! Iruka why the hell do you have to so goddamn naive)

“Of course, I am sure the two of you make a great team.” His devious smile made Kakashi want to strangle him, suddenly he realized how Naruto felt when Tazuna had begun to insult them on team 7’s first escort mission. After all having someone eyeball his Iruka like that was an insult. “We will be leaving for the Waterfall Village first thing in the morning. Iruka from what I understand you are to pay special attention to my son, may I speak to you alone on the subject.” (Those damn hunter lustful eyes, don’t you dare Iruka! Come on Kakashi think of something.) Kakashi tried to think on his feet just like he had for most of his life, after all that’s what had kept him alive as a ninja, but for some reason this guy was pissing him off so much that the only solution that kept coming to mind was slicing the fucker from stem to stern.

“Hm..I think it would be best if you spoke with Kakashi on that issue, he is my commanding officer on this mission and I will be taking my orders from him. If you want however I will be more then happy to sit in on the conversation.” (Thank God for your innocence Iruka…and your disturbing sense of duty)

“I’m afraid Iruka is correct Kurosaki sir, anything that needs to be discussed needs to be done so with me.” Kurosaki pursed his lips. (Ooooh…someone’s grumpy now) Kakashi couldn’t help but smirk, after all there was no way he’d let anyone, male anyway, near Iruka until he found out whether Iruka was or was not in the same pond as him. And he was especially not going to let some bright orange haired slut like Kurosaki near whether Iruka was or not.

“Very well, I simply wanted to inform you that my son can be quite the handful and that you’ll have to keep a very close eye on him as he likes to wonder.” With that bitterly said statement Kurosaki turned and headed towards his tent. (That’s right you go off and sleep all alone, and don’t even dream about him you flame headed slut)

“Kakashi, it’s getting late so why don’t we just throw up one tent and share it.” (At any other time this would be the perfect opportunity, damn it why did I decide to wait until after the mission. Still I am going to have my hands full with that damn bastard) Kakashi was looking at Kurosaki’s tent, watching as his son slipped into the large tent directly next to it. “I am sure he will be fine tonight Kakashi, worrying about patrolling would be overdoing it don’t you think?” Kakashi turned his head and grinned at Iruka, his squinting eye showing his large smile.

“Of course your right Iruka, I was just being over cautious. Lets get some sleep so we can have a fresh start.” Iruka grinned and rubbed the back of his head. Kakashi slumped forward slightly pouting under his mask. ( Of course he had to do that right before we go to bad, that fucking cute little quirk, shit its going to be a long night.)
