Chapter Four
Naruto looked at Sasuke’s house as they walked up, Kakashi was helping the blonde with his things and Sakura was by Sasuke to make sure he didn’t fall or anything.
They also picked up groceries along the way, both Naruto and the Uchiha picked out things of their own liking. It surprised them that they actually liked a lot of the same thing; thought Sasuke didn’t love ramen like Naruto.
“Man your place is smaller than I thought.” Naruto said and Sasuke just raised an eyebrow and took out his keys to unlock the door.
When they went inside Naruto looked around, confusion was written on features as was Sakura’s and Kakashi’s.
“You…don’t have much.” Sakura stated.
“I can’t afford to buy anymore furniture I already have.”
In his living room area all he had was a couch and a stand, the kitchen didn’t even have a table, just a fridge and the bedroom was equipped with a bed and a dresser.
“What do you mean you can’t afford furniture?” Naruto asked as they all took off their shoes.
“Just that dobe. I can’t pay rent and bills unless I cut back on food and other luxuries.” He said and Kakashi gritted his teeth.
“You’re not supposed to be paying rent! OR bills!” He basically yelled. “Because you’re so young and an orphan you are not suppose to pay or those.”
“Yeah I don’t.” Naruto agreed.
“Well…I wasn’t told that. The man Gokai (made up again) told me if I want to keep the only Uchiha property left I have to pay rent to keep it.” Sasuke explained. “Also means its family land I have to pay for the water and electricity.”
“Well not anymore. I’m going right down there and tell them a thing or two. Then I’ll get the Hokage involved, I’m sure she’ll get rid of that jackass.” Kakashi seethed.
The three teens backed away from him, well Sasuke being forced by the other two.
“Man you can be really scary when you’re pissed off.” Naruto said.
“That’s for sure.” Sakura agreed. ‘Chaa! No more scarier than when I’m ticked off!’
Sasuke sighed and shook his head at the scene they were making.
“Alright. Naruto and Sakura you two put away the groceries, I’m heading off to talk to Gokai.” Kakashi said and left.
“Uh…where do you want to sit while we do this?” Naruto asked.
“I can help. I’m not a goddamn invalid.” Sasuke gripped and Naruto put his hands up.
“Man I was just being friendly. You don’t have to bite my head off.” The blonde said and Sasuke scuttled over to the cupboards and opened them to fill them up. Sakura and Naruto gasped staring at the bare space.
“It’s empty!” The blonde shouted and opened the fridge to find it almost as pathetic. Only a few carrots graced their racks. Naruto made a face with a blue streak across the bridge of his nose.
“It’s no wonder you’re underweight.” Sakura joined and the Uchiha raised an eyebrow.
“I am not underweight.” He said.
“Yes you are. At the hospital they said that you need to gain about 10-20 more pounds to be safe.” Sakura said and Sasuke went silent.
“Well let’s put away the food, it’ll look better then.” Naruto said and they went to work.
