Hey everyone just wanted to stop by and let you guys know I love the support and I’m trying to make the story better, I noticed that you’re having trouble reading it, so I’m going try to improve that, I don’t have a beta I’m doing this myself so give me time I’ll get there.
But thanks, and yes I had a lot of chapters up, but since I’m redoing the story itself, I deleted them so as to not get you all confused. So after reading this next two chapters go ahead and review so I can learn what to work on next.

Chapter 4
Matches Made in …Heaven????????


Iruka had awaken at 6 in the morning, he was nervous for them, but at the same time, praying that this change in their path was going to be one for the better. He went to his room to pray and meditate then around 7 he went around waking everyone up. They all took their baths, and went to the kitchen where Iruka was already cooking, when he finished he served up bacon, eggs, pancakes, and fruit salad. They just wore plain robes, not really knowing how to wear anything else.

They finished right on time, hearing Tsunade enter, “Seeing as how it is too late to take you through the ‘shikomi’ stage, which it seems Ketsu has put you through, today we will begin training you all on not only to become geisha, but arts and skills used to please your clients, maybe even impressing some to the point that will buy your mizuagi allowing you to become full geisha. Each one of you have been paired with you very own client, which if you remember form the letter are very important captains and generals from the war. You will be the beautiful escorts at their side during the entire month of the celebration of the end of the war.

They are from various areas of the country, each different in their own way, you will learn their likes, dislikes, how to play instruments, how to dance, how to do tricks, how to cook, how to clean, even how to pleasure a man and much more. You will meet with 6 different teachers each day to learn all basics in each area, Let’s Begin.”

“Tsunade-Baa Chan sure makes it seem serious, coming down all strong on us with that speech, I can predict that today would be a long, long, long, long ,long day.” Naruto sighed.

First we were enlightened on the names and profiles of our clients, we were not allowed to see their pictures, but Baa-Chan assured us they were handsome.

Iruka was attending Hatake Kakashi, who was the Anbu-Captain of Snow Country, he had even acquired a Sharingan eye and was said to have a high sense of humor.

Haku was attending Mamochi Zabuza, who was the Anbu-Captain of The Hidden Mist Village, he was often referred to as the Demon of The Hidden Mist, and was awfully grumpy on the average.

Neji was attending Sabaku no Gaara, the Kazekage of Sand Country, he was feared due to his containment of the Raccoon-Demon within him.

Chouji was the attendant to The Genius Shikamaru of Konoha, who was well known around the city. He was considered to be very lazy and everything was troublesome to him, yet he WAS the city’s genius.

Kiba was attending Kankuro of Anbu-Captain of The Sand Country whom was also the brother of Gaara and the Master of Puppetry/2nd, he was known for his humorous attitude and flirtatious nature.

Last but not least was Naruto’s client his name was Uchiha Sasuke, Anbu-Captain of Konoha/Last Surviving Uchiha, there was nothing much to say about him, he was supposedly very cute and mysterious.

After the introduction, we were becoming more and more interested to see these men in person, I mean we were supposed to become intimate with them and the basic description was what everyone knew. “Okay, now that that’s over it’s time to enlighten you on geisha tradition and history,” Tsunade began “So go ahead and take seats in the den, your instructor will be joining you.

As we sat and some of us lay on the cushions in the den, Tsunade walked in and took a seat on one of the comfiest chairs before someone else walked in and our mouths dropped open.

“Aioshi-sama!!!!!!!!!!”
“Master!”
“But how-?!”
“When?”
“Is Ketsu-sama here too??!!”
“Wow this is great!”

“Quiet, quiet everyone it’s good to see you too, Myself and Ketsu received a message from Tsunade-sama’s falcon, and came to help her out. I will be your history and basics instructor, you will meet with Ketsu later on in your training. So for today get ready for your lecture.”

“Hai, Hai.”

“I will make this as brief as possible so let’s begin listen and learn. It will come in handy later on. The term “geisha” means a performing artist, and in every aspect that is your first and foremost focus, to enrapture your client as if YOU are a piece of art, something to cherish and enjoy. In the hanamachi, full geisha may also be called “geiko”, but be sure to distinguish yourselves from “onsen” geisha who are prostitutes, often identified by the obi being tied in the front rather than our practice of the traditional ways and wearing our obi in the back. That is why it usually takes more than one person to dress themselves in kimonos due to it having several layers and the obi proving to be more than a simple band of cloth.”

Haku raised his hand in question, with a nod of Aioshi’s head he asked “I’ve heard that some client’s take advantage of geisha, because once they pay they use them any way they want, so do we have to endure that?”

“If there’s something I can relate to it’s the dissatisfaction with the sexual appeal of a client. A client is entitled to what he wants because he’s paid for your company, so yes when sleeping with a client it can be like that, but usually the okiya will try to send a forewarning word to that client. If something serious happens, they will be arrested if you report it and submit to an examination.”

“Let’s continue, good question Haku. You are all maiko, apprentice geisha because until you sell lose your mizuagi, you are not yet full geisha. The elegance and elaborate dress is more so seen in geisha at your stage more so than full fledged geisha, due to the bidding process over your mizuagi. Very few okiya can say that their geisha has earned their purchase price, and that is the one chance to make history and bring honor to the okiya. You are usually required to make appearances in teahouses and other events at this stage. There also many talents required of you, including serving tea, playing shamisen, dancing, even intriguing conversation and more.”

“So in other words talents or skills that appeal to your client?” Neji asked out loud.

“Well, yes especially with your situation, but with your training you’ll learn some of everything, but you’ll probably have time to practice your own thing. Continuing, our relationship is essential with you, we must ensure that everything is working for you all, and all is well with the client. There is a point to be stressed here, … we are not prostitutes, and more importantly, you cannot have personal relationships. It is forbidden among geisha moral and only when you gain a Danna, could there be a anything slightly like a relationship. Hopefully, if your Danna loves you to the extent where he can purchase you, paying all your debts and whatever price the okiya gives you can then live in freedom and not as a geisha.”

“So, is there any other way you can gain your freedom?”, Chouji asked quietly.

“Well, yes you can earn back your purchase price and whatever debts you owe yourself, and retire. Moving on, our appearance is a key to our tradition. Maiko, wear heavily applied make-up, unlike more mature geisha who doesn’t wear heavy make-up anymore but let their natural beauty show. Your make-up is applied before dressing, and first there is a oil applied to the skin. Next, white rice powder is mixed with water into a thick paste, and applied with a bamboo brush. It is applied on the face, neck and chest leaving the nape uncovered in a “V” or “W”, and also a line of bare skin around the hairline. Then a sponge is used to blend in the foundation and pick up excess moisture.”

“So applying the makeup requires using more than one person?” Kiba piped up.

“It can be, or some geisha who know what they’re doing do it themselves, but there’s more to the makeup, so let me continue. A stick of Kohl is then heated and used to draw in the eyebrow and the eyes are lined and the edges are drawn, and red color is also added to the eyes of a maiko. The lips are then colored in using a small brush, using color which comes in a stick and can be melted in water, crystallized sugar is then added to give luster.”

“What about how we dress, and our hair all of us don’t have long hair?” Naruto questioned.

“I was getting there next, Naruto. Geisha always wear kimonos, and maiko will wear bright colored. The obi will be even brighter and more extravagant, and you wear them in a style called “darari”. It is also a rule that a prosperous okiya does not allow they’re geisha to wear a kimono more than once. Isn’t that true Tsunade-sama?”

“Yes you are telling the truth, we have a storehouse, where our kimonos are kept and interchanged between our geisha, but yours will be kept in this house.”

“Ah, depending on the season and event the color style and pattern changes. Lined kimono are worn during the colder seasons, while unlined kimono are worn during the warmer ones, for example. You will also be wearing a red under kimono to show your status as a maiko, after selling your mizuagi white lining will be embroidered but when you turn 20 your under kimono will be white. Chouji, Kiba and Iruka you will already be of age to wear a white one when you become full geisha. You will wear zori outdoors, tabi indoors, an okobo in inclined weather.”

“ So, what about our hair like Naruto, I’m kind of nervous about that?”

“Yes Iruka-san, your hair is supposed to be worn in the shimada-style. There are several types: 1.) taka shimada- a high chignon, 2.) subushi shimada - a flattened chignon, 3.) uiwata - a chignon that is usually bound up with a piece of colored cotton crepe; and a style that resembles a divided peach, which is worn only by maiko including other which are decorated by elaborate hair combs and pins called a kanzashi. The straightening of the hair includes the painful process of having hot wax combed through your hair while being styled, thus sleeping with your neck on a takamakura, while training rice is poured around it so if you mess up you will have to go through having your hair styled again. Since your hair length vary, you will most likely have unique hairstyles for appearances.”

“I think you’ve hit all the marks on their lecture today Aioshi, I commend you on your excellent teaching today.”

“Arigato, Lady Tsunade. I believe that that is al for today, the real training will begin tomorrow I will be awakening you all tomorrow with your other instructor. Dismissed.” with that they were released for the day, digesting the new information they had been given.

Above the trees you could faintly see six figures swiftly moving in a formation, all in Anbu attire, silent and deadly, giving the aura of power. “Kakashi are you sure we are going to the right city?”, Zabuza yelled. They were about another 3 ½ weeks away from Konoha and he wanted to hurry up and get there. They were all anxious to see what Jiraya had set up for them. They needed the relaxation and peace after the continuous years of war they had been through. “Yes, if we start using chakra we might get there faster.” replied Kakashi. “Well, let’s hurry this up then”, Gaara said then gaining distance speeding ahead.
