After the Rain
Chapter 4, Kakashi and Iruka are hot on the Trail!
*Back in the Leaf Village*
"Don't be so worried, Iruka," Kakashi told him, smiling at him, kissing him softly. "Naruto will be fine. He has grown much
stronger, even stronger than me."
Iruka sighed, "He's been like a son to me. It would kill me if anything happened to him."
Kakashi pulled Iruka into a hug, "He will be fine."
"I suppose your right," Iruka nodded. "So where were we?" He pulled Kakashi's headband off and then his mask.
"Trying to unmask me, huh, Iruka?" Kakashi smiled, kissing Iruka's neck. "For that, I must punish you."
"Mmmm, I like this punishment. If this is the case, I shall have to unmask you more often," Iruka moaned.
Kakashi softly bit Iruka's neck, "You like that, huh?"
"OH, Kakashi, you have no idea," Iruka moaned and smiled.
Kakashi moves back up to kiss him again. Capturing his lips in what seems like and eternal kiss. The kiss to break all bonds.
The kiss from your true love. Nothing could describe the feeling of that kiss. The moment that they shared together
seemed to last all night. Until....the front door was kicked open by none other than Lady Tsunade.
"What in the hell is going on? I am missing three shinobi and I know that you have something to do with it, Iruka!" Tsunade
catches more than an eyeful upon the two men. Kakashi innocently looks up and realizes that he doesn't have his mask on.
He covers his face with his hands.
"Um, you kind of got me at a bad time," Iruka commented. Kakashi and I were just discussing the mission we were recently on."
"That must have been on heated discussion," Tsunade commented. "I don't want to know. What I need to know is where Naruto,
Neiji and TenTen took off to. They aren't the kind of ninja to just disappear."
"Tsunade," Kakashi said, his voice rather muffled because he was covering his face, "I think you should come inside."
Tsunade looked at Kakashi awfully funny as he fumbled around his find his mask and headband.
"Naruto went off to look for Sasuke," Iruka told her.
"There's really nothing I can do to stop that boy. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I knew of his feelings
for Sasuke. I won't be able to talk him out of this," Tsunade sighed. "That knucklehead."
"Neiji and TenTen went with him to help. They couldn't let him go alone," Kakashi said to her, having his mask back on
his face and his headband back into place.
"He wanted to kill Orochimaru to get the true Sasuke back," Iruka informed. "He is determined, but I don't think he could
beat Orochimaru."
"Anything that boy puts his mind mind to he accomplishes. He learned the Rasengan in a week, to win a bet against me," she
laughed. "I think he has the power to do it."
"I agree with you, Tsunade," Iruka said.
Kakashi nodded, "After Sasuke left, I never realized how much potential Naruto had. That boy will be the next Hokage. I
have faith in him."
Tsunade agreed with the both of them. "I have to come up with a fake mission to say that's where they have gone. I wouldn't
want anyone getting upset knowing that they have 'supposedly' runaway, just like Sasuke."
*On the hunt for Sasuke*
"Uggh, Neiji, I can't walk any further," TenTen griped.
"We are almost to the harbor, from there we shall take a ship all the way to the land of waves," Neiji explained. "It will
get us there much faster."
"See, Neiji, without you I would be lost out here," Naruto explained. I am glad that the both you decided to come along."
"Whatever you need, Naruto," TenTen told him. "You are our friend."
Naruto smiled at them as they continued walking and again his mind wandered to Sasuke. He thought of when he last saw him,
how scared he was of him, but was ready to kill him to save him from that curse. That transformation scared him. He
didn't want to see Sasuke like that again. Seeing Sasuke like that tore him apart inside. He reached in his pocket and took
out Sasuke's headband. It still had the scratch across it from where he'd scratched it. He held it close to his chest. It
was the only thing that he had belonging to Sasuke. He treasured that headband. He kept it close to his heart always. He
put the headband back in his pocket and sighed. He almost seemed out of reach, but he knew he would find him eventually.
*In the Leaf Village, again*
"Iruka, I think I am going to send some of ANBU Black Ops to follow them, in case they get into any danger with Orochimaru,"
Tsunade told them.
"I will go, there is no need to send any of ANBU," Kakashi informed her. Naruto and Sasuke are both my students. I will
watch over them.
"And I will go with you, Kakashi," Iruka stated, looking over at him. Naruto has been like my son, I can't just abandon him."
"Then, it's settled, you two should get going now," Tsunade told them. "I have an idea about coming up with the fake mission
to cover your asses until you get back."
"Yes ma'am," they both said.
Tsunade left Iruka's home quickly.
"So, where were we?" Kakashi asked seuctively.
"Right about here," Iruka told him, unbuttoning his vest.
"I like the way your mind works, Iruka," Kakashi nodded, grinning widely, although it was hard to see in his mask.
*With Sasuke*
Sasuke trudged on that familiar path back to the leaf village. It was hard keeping his mind focused on the task at hand. His
mind thought about a certain blond headed boy that he knew from the Hidden Leaf Village, Naruto. He loved the boys wild
attitude and his confidence. He loved how the boy never gave up and somehow he knew that Naruto had not given up on him.
*Flashback*
"Naruto, you should rest," Sasuke told him, "You've been working way too hard lately. Your body is about to give out on you."
"No, I can't stop I must continue," Naruto told him fiercely.
Sasuke quickly pulled him close and held him tightly. "Please, I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you."
"Sasuke?" Naruto questioned, looking into his eyes deeply, seeing that he was doing the exact same thing.
Sasuke leaned in to kiss Naruto. He felt Sasuke's warm lips on his. It was almost intoxicating. He knew of Sasuke's
feelings, but this was the first time since the time at the academy that they had shared their feelings for each other.
"Don't ever leave me Sasuke," Naruto whispered softly.
"I love ever leave you, I promise," Sasuke assured him.
*With Naruto*
'It's been raining in my heart every day since you've been gone,' Naruto thought to himself and some tears rolled down his
face as he remembered that night when Sasuke vowed to never leave him. But, he did leave, that curse mark. Naruto would do
anything to cure Sasuke of that mark. Anything.......
