Please Love Me

Chapter three: The Party: Part One

Sasuke walked slowly down the stairs. He was dreading seeing the person he knew to be waiting at the bottom for him. He hated that Sakura tricked him into being her “date” for tonight.


‘Damnit. Why does she do this stuff to me. What have I ever done to deserve this.’ Sasuke thought as he finally reached the half way mark.

‘And she has told Tsunade and Shizune that I was to be her escort to their “dinner” tonight so I can’t tell her to just go to hell and leave me alone. The Hokage is expecting me to show, so now I have no choice I have to go. Damnit! I really hate Sakura at the moment.’ he stopped a little more than half way down, the wall still keeping him out of sight from the people downstairs. He really wanted to take his time.

‘Shit, this also means that Naruto will be alone with that Hyuuga bastard. Well, sure Lee is here. But Neji will most definitely find a way to get him alone. DAMN YOU SAKURA!’

“Come ON Sasuke! We have to go or we will be late.” Sakura yelled up the stairs at him. He scowled but started moving again, the whole time cursing whatever god that was making his life pure hell.

‘Maybe if I tell her out straight that I don’t like her, she’ll get it. Yeah, and maybe pigs will sprout horn tipped tails, bat wings, and two horns on its heads and fly down to hell.’ Sasuke thought. ‘But its worth a shot right?’

“Let’s get one thing straight, Sakura. First of all, I’m not your “date” for the fake dinner nor am I your “date” for this party. I am only going to pick them up with you because the Hokage is expecting me to. And secondly, this does not mean that you have a chance. You are my friend and that is it. Got it” Sasuke said as soon as he reached the bottom.

She only smile that innocent smile that always sent a feeling of fear down his spine, for what reason he didn’t know. But it always made him think that she had some devious plot going. This just caused him to dread tonight even more.

“Oh Sasuke-kun. You don’t have to be so shy as to pretend in font of our friends. I’m sure they are all going to be happy for us. In fact, Ino has already agreed to be my maid of honor in our wedding. Isn’t that great. So there are no worries sweetheart. You don’t have to hide us.” she said, the smile never leaving her face.

“Huh?” was all that Sasuke could force out of his mouth. He looked to Naruto for help.

Naruto looked a little scared for his friend. Both of them. He feared for Sakura’s sanity. But he still found it all funny. The look on Sasuke’s face was priceless. He was trying not to laugh.

‘Well, I’m not getting any help there. Thanks a lot my love.’ Sasuke thought. He turned to look at Lee, who was also trying not to laugh. Failing miserably. And he was turning blue in the face from trying to keep it all in.

Sasuke was getting a little annoyed. ‘Damn it, this shit isn’t funny.’ He screamed in his head. He spared a glance in Neji’s direction and saw him smirking. He would never admit it, but he became frightened then. Neji had this look in his eye that told him his night was about to become much worse.

“Don’t you dare, Hyuuga.” He said aloud. He just knew that Neji was about to do or say something. Something that Sasuke really didn’t want him to.

Neji’s smirk only grew in reply. “Well, Sakura, it seems you have your future together all planned out. But you have yet to tell us how many children you will be having.” Neji said eyes never once leaving Sasuke, the smirk growing into a full out mocking grin.

Sasuke looked ready to kill Neji. And he would have had Sakura not chosen that moment to answer.

“Oh, your right. Sasuke, we should really discuss that. But I’m telling you now, I won’t settle for anything less than six.” She squealed. “Now come on before we are late.” She said. Then she turned and walked out the door.

“Hold on. Wait one fucking minute. We will not have kids together. We will never get married. Sakura, when will you get it through your fucking head that we will never be together. So stop trying to “plan our future”.” Sasuke said as he ran out the door and caught up to her.

“Sure Sasuke, I understand perfectly.” She said. But she gave him a wink that proved to him that she heard something completely different.

‘Psycho bitch’ Sasuke thought to himself. He shrugged it off though, not wanting to go any further with the topic incase she tried to trick him into something else. So instead he let his thoughts wander back to the blonde Adonis currently sitting in his living room waiting for the party guests to arrive.

Back With Naruto…..

Naruto watched through the door until his two friends were out of sight, then he shut the door and turned to the other two occupants of the room.

“Well, Neji Lee, are you guys ready for the party?” He asked

“Do we have a choice?” Neji answered.

“Oh Neji my youthful friend. You have such a wonderful sense of humor. Naruto, of course we are ready. I for one think that this party was a such a great idea. It was very thoughtful of you to….” Lee said before a knock at the door interrupted what he was going to say.

Naruto jumped at the chance to get away from hearing the rest of Lee’s speech. Of course, Lee was one of his best friends and He loved him to death, it’s just that he can get a little carried away and annoying sometimes.

When Naruto opened the door he found it to be crowded with people. It seems that everyone did what he asked and showed as early as they could. It was barely after 7 and already mostly everyone was here. And they brought a gift. Well in Ino and hinata’s case they brought two…why no one knows. But everyone else only brought one as a couple I guess.

‘Hm still missing Shika and Choji.’ Naruto thought, ‘the better hurry.’

“Hey guys. I’m glad you could all make it, come on in.” Naruto said as he stood aside so they could enter the living room.

“Neji would you mind taking their presents and putting them with ours?” Naruto asked making Neji’s heart beat faster just thinking about doing his love a favor.

“Of course Naru-kun. I’d be delighted.” He answered. He turned and gathered everyone’s gifts and took them into the kitchen with the others.

When he came back out he saw that Naruto was not stand alone. He watched as Naruto began conversing with Iruka and Kakashi.

‘Look at him over there. He truly is oblivious. I was hoping to get to be alone with him a little before the party but now its too late. And I can’t think of a single excuse to get him to follow me to an empty room. Damnit.’ Neji thought. ‘Well I guess if I can’t be alone with him I will have to just stand by him all night. There’s bound to be a chance to get him alone right? Maybe I can convince him to dance with me. I would love to see the look on the stupid prick Uchiha’s face while we dance. Me and Naurto. We would make a great couple if you ask me.’ he smiled a huge smile (in his head of course) at the thought.

Neji let his thoughts die out then as he made his way to Naruto’s side. Naruto turned to him and smiled the most heartbreaking smile Neji’s ever seen from him.

“Hey Neji. Did you get the presents put up?” Naruto asked.

“Yes” he answered.

“Great. Thanks for helping me so much tonight. Do you mind helping me one more time?” Naruto asked.

“Of course Naruto. I would do anything. All you need do is ask.”
‘Hopefully he will get the obvious hint.’ he thought to himself.

“Great. Thanks. Just follow me back to the kitchen. We need to set the refreshments and food out.” Naruto answered. Then he turned to Iruka and Kakashi and said, “Hope you guys enjoy the party. And Iruka I’ll see you tomorrow as well. So don’t worry.” The two both smiled and nodded their acknowledgement. Then he turned and walked to the kitchen. Neji as close behind him as possible.

‘Wow, his eyes aren’t the only beautiful things he has. He also has a nice ass. OH, the things I would love to do to that…..NO. NO, NO, NO…..Down Boy, Not the time.’ Neji was finally able to tear his eyes away from the swaying ass in front of him just as Naruto stopped walking. He didn’t say anything or even look back at Neji. He just started getting the drinks and food out and ready for the party. In fact he was looked to be deep in thought. And in actuality he was.

‘Ok, now’s your chance Naruto. You’ve been wanting to know this for quite sometime. Now you have him alone, ask him damn it’ Naruto thought. He’s been watching Neji ever since him and Lee got there to help them. He’s been wondering about something. He wanted to know if Neji were gay or not. Every time Naruto would start to thinking him to be gay, he would see him flirting with none other than Ten Ten. Usually when they were both in the same room (and Naruto was there to see them of course) they would be all over each other. But when she wasn’t there he would act as if he were gay. He would talk about some guys butt or just check a guy out.

Now the reason Naruto has been wondering this is because ever since he hugged the Hyuuga earlier that day he would find his mind wandering to him constantly. He admitted a long time ago that he found Neji to hot. And he did mean HOT. But all day he found his eyes wandering to the other boy. He caught himself daydreaming about him more than once. And he would also catch himself finding any and all opportunities to be alone with him (which never worked till now) or to just stand beside him. He never thought all this could come from just a hug.

Now, Naruto wasn’t as stupid as he has led everyone to believe (still oblivious though), he knew what these feelings were and what they meant.

So right now all he needed to know was if he is indeed gay or straight or at least bi (one can only hope) and if he is single or if he really is with Ten Ten. Then maybe he can get some clue as to whether or not he’s interested in him.

‘Man I really hope so. Ok, I’m going to do it. Here goes.’

“Neji are you gay or not?”
