Every Woman Loves a Man that Will Listen
III. The Shy Innocent Heiress (3.1)
It was early, too early in the morning for Naruto; all he did was yawn, stretch, and rub his eyes to keep them open and focused. It was hard to stay focused on anything at the moment, but he couldn’t help it if he suddenly dosed back off to sleep; but for the sake of living, he was willing to get through this meeting in one piece. He didn’t need to be knock around the Hokage’s office just to listen to his baachan speak.
The sad thing about this was she was briefing him about a mission, the who’s, what’s, when, and where were completely lost to him. He only gotten two hours of sleep and that was only 30 minutes ago because his entire night was dedicated to spending his time with Tenten and Kin. While they came at different intervals of the night, it was all he did; and boy did Kin love to go at it more than Tenten. Top it all off, he had to evade Moegi before she made him late. He knew why the young girl was looking for him he didn’t have time to speak with her, rushing to be on time. Kage Bushin sure came in handy when you needed it the most.
Luck usually had a way of being on Naruto’s side, most of the time. It wore off the minute Tsunade began to speak about the mission and had to choose him of all people to keep her eye on throughout the debriefing. After all he barely made it on time seeing that the other members on his team had already showed up, namely Sakura and Sai.
He was fighting himself to stifle another yawn, and keep his eyes open to make it seem like he was paying attention; but staring at Tsunade for too long made his eyes droopy and suddenly close.
Now Naruto was aware of a few things, one being he could have sworn Tsunade stop speaking there were some whispers and that he was standing getting ready to turn to head out the door. He even remembered the last of what she said in those last three minutes summing up the mission.
He was also aware of something very annoying tapping against his skull consistently. It was making his eye twitch, then the tapping got harder and his face scrunched up in a frown. Whatever the heck was hitting him in his forehead was starting to hurt very much.
“Naruto…Naruto!! NARUTO!!!” Naruto recognized the voice as Tsunade’s trying to get his attention.
“Damn it you old woman what is it?!!” He shouted uncharacteristically at Tsunade, banging his fist on her table.
It got eerily quiet in a matter of seconds. Everyone was flabbergasted at Naruto’s outburst. Naruto himself just realized what he said to Tsunade. The blond also realized he was sleeping the whole time.
He inwardly cringed because the Hokage had veins popping about her person, holding what Naruto confirmed was the cause of those ‘taps’ on his skull; a very thick small book.
“Tsu- Hokage-sama can we talk this out first without resulting to violence?” He asked backing away from the enraged woman.
“Naruto?” Tsunade asked him calmly, while gripping the book tightly with her bare hand.
“Yes Hokage-sama?” He was sweating, and feeling very small right now because he knew the calmer Tsunade sounded the angrier she was.
“Let’s see just how awake you are?!” Tsunade yelled, throwing the small book hard and fast at Naruto’s head.
“Wait a minute Tsunade baachan!” he barely dodged the oncoming book by bending backwards. It made contact with the side of the wall instead, hitting it with a great force that it made a hole and cracked half the wall.
Sai and Sakura glanced at each other before sighing at the same time. They decided to just move out of harm’s way until Tsunade had calmed down.
That wasn’t going to be awhile until she had a chance to beat the ever living life out of Naruto.

“Where is he? I know I saw him come this way!” an auburn haired girl murmured to herself. Moegi huffed angrily slamming yet another door, this time in a restaurant. This one more than others, as her face turned red from witnessing a couple in a very comprising position in the bathroom.
She continued to walk at a fast pace, that she was tempted to run instead. She was looking all over for her dear Senpai this morning. Spotting him at Iruka sensei’s home before dashing off when he spotted her coming his way. He was deliberately avoiding her. Moegi thought it had something to do with what happened Thursday afternoon.
It wasn’t like she tried to grope him during her training session; that was Hanabi smacking his posterior when he least expected it. Of course she had effectively disrupted his concentration by moving about, or daydreaming, or failing to get a technique right. A small tinted red color spreads across her face. It would have been perfect if her friend didn’t decide to show up. Her entire training session would have gone well if Hanabi didn’t initiate ‘operation: grope and fluster Naruto as much as you can.’
“Moegi! Hey! Slow down will ya!” screamed a dark browned hair young man. Moegi huffed again, stopping and turning around to glare at Konohamaru. He just ruined the start of a good daydream. Udon remained quiet, amused at his two teammates. He opted for dragging his feet than running after an irate Moegi.
“Will you hurry up? You two move like snails!” she shouted, returning to her fast paced walking.
“Hey, don’t get mad at us because you can’t find Bro’!” Konohamaru yelled equally matching Moegi’s strides.
A few vein marks popped around Moegi’s head. She turned to stare at Konohamaru with a glare.
Udon sighed, “Wrong move idiot.”
The auburn haired girl grabbed her teammate by the collar of his shirt, “I dare you to say that again?” she challenged and sort of threatened.
Konohamaru, smirked at the shorter ninja’s empty handed threat, “Hehe, I said you can’t get mad at us because you can’t find Bro’!”
Udon watched with a grin as he witness, Moegi throwing Konohamaru into a brick wall.
“Come on Udon! Stop watching and help me find Senpai!” Moegi commanded as she walked off without the two boys.
Udon lightly poked a half conscious Konohamaru with his toes. “Get up your still alive,” he stated reopening his quiz book, walking at a leisured pace.
“T-T-that girl is a m-monster just like Sa-Sakura-san,” Konohamaru said, shaking his throbbing head.
“Well you did make her wait purposely for two hours before you decided to help her look for Naruto. All morning, you picked fights with her, and kept on commenting about how pretty Hanabi is compared to her,” Udon looked at his friend before smiling.
“But Hanabi is so much more sophisticated and pretty and a lot less violent!” Konohamaru stated, crossing his arms.
Udon’s eyebrow rose at that statement about Hanabi, “If Moegi heard that, she would have done more than throw you into that brick wall you know. The reason why Hanabi is less violent towards you is not because she likes you, but because you do and say things to placate her temperament because saying brash and stupid things to her like you do Moegi is just a way to avoid her activating her bloodline limit.”
Konohamaru scowled at Udon for being right, “Yeah, well she’s still wayyyyyy prettier than- ”
“Udon! Ko-no-ha-ma-ruuuuu! Get your asses over here now and help me look for Naruto Senpai!!”
“Yes ma’am!” Udon replied cheerfully, beginning to jump the rooftops to catch up with Moegi.
Konohamaru just sighed, “And they said I was the bad one picking up Naruto-niisan’s bad habits of being a loudmouth!” with that he took off trailing behind his two teammates.

The entire office was a mess it was a miracle that Sai and Sakura remained unscathed. It was even more of a miracle that Tsunade couldn’t get in a good hit on Naruto at all. The young man just got too fast for his Baachan to be successful. Sometimes Tsunade hated the fact that Naruto had to grow up. Though the immaturity was still there if just a little bit. Too bad in her rage, Tsunade punched holes in the wall or in the floor of her office.
Just as Tsunade found the perfect opening to hit the blond with one of her chakra induced punches as punishment for sleeping while she talked about the details of the mission, the doors to the Hokage’s office slammed opened.
Maybe miracles do come in angry auburn haired packages. Moegi looked livid. Udon and Konohamaru casually walked in behind her, they glanced at each other before sighing.
“Na-ru-to Se-n-pai!” Moegi screamed. She yanked Naruto’s tired profile off the floor, shaking him slightly.
Naruto gave the young girl a tired grin, “Good morning again Little Lady.”
“Why did you run off when I was speaking to you?”
“Well, I couldn’t be late, having my teammates wait on me and get the old woman pissed off at me even further, right?” he gave a little nervous laugh.
“I guess you’re right, my apologies Senpai,” Moegi bowed respectfully towards Naruto. Completely ignoring Tsunade.
It wasn’t hard for Naruto to feel the eyes of death upon him. If looks could kill, he’ll be a dead man by now.
Tsunade felt a couple of veins throbbing in her forehead. She was surely going to kill Naruto for this interruption.
“Silence!” The Hokage screamed. Why did she have to be a leader to shinobi that showed her no respect? Maybe she’ll take her anger out on Jiraiya if she ever sees him. It was his fault she decided to become Hokage in the first place and the blond standing before her.
Sakura sighed, and Sai looked unfazed as usual. Naruto quickly straightened up, standing next to his teammates and team Ebisu decided to stand to the side faraway from the fuming Hokage.
“Senpai! Tsunade-hime, sorry for the intrusion, it seems I’m delaying Senpai, Sakura-san, and Sai-san from their duties!” Moegi exclaimed, more cheery now that she was in the presence of her Senpai.
She bowed to Naruto then to Tsunade, but before leaving quickly hugged Naruto, a tiny blush on her face. She caught Sakura’s gaze on her. Instead of cowering from Sakura’s glare she childishly stuck her tongue out at her, hugged her surprised Senpai once more to get Sakura miffed then dragged Udon and Konohamaru out of the office with her.
Tsunade was a little intrigued with the entire thing; even Sai raised an eyebrow in questioning. Something definitely was going on and it had everything to do with Naruto. She had a sneaking suspicion about what it might be. Until she had all the clues she’ll leave things be without jumping to conclusions she weren’t sure were correct.
Naruto just scratched the back of his head, feeling a little embarrassed and not really having an answer to the questions he knew were running through everyone’s head. He turned to look at Sakura, smiling at her before looking in Tsunade’s direction.
Sakura’s smile had slowly left her face until she looked expressionless. She busied herself with tightening her gloves on her hands. She did not like seeing the pretty and younger girl hug Naruto so intimately. The brat had even mocked her.
Well she wasn’t going to let some girl get the best of her. Sakura was glad to hear her Shishou begin to speak. He helped get her mind off of certain auburn haired, long pigtail, bandana wearing teens and the silly crushes they had on men so out of their league.
xxxx--------------------xxxxxxxxxxxxx--------------------xxxxxx
Outside of the Hokage’s office team Ebisu walked through the hallways of the Hokage tower.
Moegi walked ahead of her teammates with a huge smile on her face. It was amazing to the two young men how their female teammate suddenly went from angry to happy once she found Naruto.
Lately, Moegi hadn’t been paying Konohamaru a lot of attention. Both boys notice this little change.
“Moe-chan.”
The teen turned around to stare at the brunette, she looked at him incredulously.
“Since when do you call me ‘Moe-chan’ Konohmaru?”
“Since when do you start hugging Naruto-niisan the way you did?” completely ignoring her question to ask one of his own.
Moegi’s face took on a blush, before she glared at her teammate, crossing her arms as she did so.
“I’m entitle do what I want with Na-ru-to Se-n-pai! Besides, it’s none of your business! Ko-no-ha-ma-ru-kun!”
The young girl picked up her pace, walking further away from the two boys casually walking behind her. Leaving one angry and the other amused.
“Stupid girl! Like I care!” He shouted behind her retreating back. An angry vein mark protruded on his head when the auburn hair girl didn’t retort back. She instead did a few hands seals before a cloud of smoke appeared where she once stood.
“Is that the best comeback you can come up with?”
Konohamaru just huffed, making an annoyed face as he walked with his arms behind his head.
As much as Udon was amused with the little scene between his two teammates, he couldn’t help but notice the disappointment in Konohamaru’s face.
“Does it upset you that much that Moegi hugged Niisan?”
“Who gives a damn what that crazy girl does!” he exclaimed, still ranting under his breath, “Stupid, stupid Moegi, wording her sentence that way, like she’s trying to imply something…” he still mumbled under his breath, Udon couldn’t make out the rest of his rant.
“So, why are you still bringing it up?” asked Udon, pushing his glasses up on the bridge of his nose.
“Who the hell asked you Udon!” the brunette youth shouted.
He glanced over at Konohamaru, who stilled looked a little disheartened. It actually surprised him to see his pal look that way. Was it possible that the young Sarutobi missed having Moegi dote on him all the time?
“Is something wrong?” the bi-spectacle boy asked, knowing full well that the boy beside him was bothered by Moegi’s actions.
Konohamaru chuckled, “Of course there isn’t anything wrong with me. I don’t mind hearing Moegi say ‘Naruto Senpai’ this or ‘Naruto Senpai that’!”
He didn’t care that his ego was flattened just a bit because his ex-fangirl started to ogle Naruto instead of him.
“Then why are you still bringing it up?” Udon thought, but chose not to say anything more. He just sweat dropped a little. It was obvious the boy was lying.
“Anyway it doesn’t matter Hanabi is and still remains my ideal woman.”
He didn’t need Moegi or any girl for that matter to boost his ego. Though it sure did help at times, maybe it did bother him just a little that Moegi found someone else to fixate on. Okay, so it bothered him a lot, he bothered him more than he wanted to admit because it wasn’t just any guy she ignored him for. It was their team’s faux big brother. Someone he looked up too.
He wondered if Naruto took notice of Moegi’s infatuation. He felt a little jealous of his Niisan, but it was solely his own fault for purposely ignoring Moegi’s feelings for him in the first place. He didn’t want to give the girl the wrong impression he still liked Hanabi, that wasn’t going to change. Though he did feel guilty about teasing her so much.
“If you say so,” maybe ignorance was bliss to some people Udon thought as he walked along his best friend and teammate.
“I know so!” Konohamaru stated with confidence, his grin widening and his short depression fading away.
Udon smiled back. If there was one thing he knew about Konohamaru, it was that the boy loved a challenge. He liked it even more when he was going against their Niisan.
Whatever Konohamaru was planning it would surely be entertaining nonetheless.

Lavender pearly eyes looked at the building she was accustom to but never had the courage to enter. At the age of 21, Hinata was still a shame to admit that there were some things that still made her timid.
Like having the opportunity to tell someone how much you felt about them since being a child. Opportunities that passed many times, where she could have been the one to tell the container of the kyuubi that she loved him, wanted to be with him, and possibly the one he proposed to instead of to another woman, one that for selfish reasons broke his heart.
Hinata had the chance to be selfish when Naruto and Sakura was seemingly becoming an item. But no, she had to be the self-sacrificing, good hearted, shy, introverted woman when he came to Naruto; because like everyone else, she didn’t predict the shocking news that would follow.
Hinata didn’t think she would also witness the moment when Sakura refused to marry Naruto. She didn’t think Sakura’s rejection would trouble him so much he started the habit to avoid the opposite sex as much as possible.
Sakura rejecting Naruto made Hinata believe it was constantly her fault. If she was more confident, or had some way of knowing what Sakura was really up to, she wouldn’t let Naruto experience such a let down. Hinata didn’t like what she heard and seen that night, she was angry with Sakura for doing what she done. There were other ways of gently letting down a person.
Thinking about the pink haired Jounin, made the Hyuuga Heiress a bit angry. Hinata for as long as she could remember; did admit that she was jealous of the medic-nin. She was jealous of her because there was something she obviously had that attracted Naruto to her. For the life of her, Hinata still couldn’t see what in the world was so fascinating about Haruno Sakura. Whatever it was, it surely made Naruto only have eyes for her and no one else.
Once again, Hinata found herself on Naruto’s doorstep, standing there with her mind elsewhere. She let out a small sigh, she could count the many times she stood here doing the exact same thing but never bothering to actually knock on the door. She was quickly losing her resolve again. No matter how many times she forced herself to stay put.
As she was beginning to turn around to leave Naruto’s doorstep, the small noise of a door opening alerted her. Well there was no time like the present. Maybe god had favored her today. She presented the largest and sweetest smile to the man in front of her.
“Good Afternoon Naruto-kun,” she bit the bottom of her lip, containing the large smile that wanted to show on her face.
The handsome blond male stood there a little shocked to see her there. He was getting ready to go someplace, hence the reason he opened his door. Somehow his brain sort of had a meltdown staring at a pretty voluptuous figure in the form of Hyuuga Hinata.
It was déjà vu all over again. Same gender, different lady, still beautiful as always.
This time it wasn’t 11 o’clock at night or after midnight.
It was pleasantly sunny. Nice 80 degree weather and it was half past 3 in the afternoon.
Naruto wasn’t a fool, just because Hinata was probably the most sensible out of the female friends he had, was dating one of his best pals, and was still completely adorable with her shyness, didn’t mean there wasn’t an ulterior motive for boldly coming to see him in broad daylight.
Even though it like she was about to change her mind if he didn’t suddenly open the door.
Hinata smiled, “Well aren’t you going to let me in Naruto-kun?”
Naruto was wondering about doing that same thing. What would this visit lead to? Did he really want to know? Would it be a repeat of things that have happened just days passed?
Without saying anything, he gave Hinata one of his mischievous foxy grins, stepping aside to let the midnight blue haired lady enter his home.
Well he couldn’t turn down a lady, and he certainly couldn’t turn down company. Especially when they had so much courage to just see him; it was kind of ironic that it took him a long time to figure out why Hinata acted the way she did around him. Sometimes he wondered if things would have been different if he wasn’t completely enthralled with his pink haired teammate and had instead knew why Hinata blushed and fainted or stuttered around him when they were younger.
Well he had plenty of time to wonder about that later, he had a guest to entertain. Surely it would be rude to leave his lady friend feeling out of place in his home.
He took Hinata’s hands in his, kissing them. He gave her a wink and smirked as he watched her face turn completely red.
“How are you doing Hinata-chan?” he asked slyly.
Poor Hinata, she couldn’t speak or make a sound. She just stood there looking at Naruto. The way he touched her hands, brought his mouth to kiss them and that sexy smirk of his as he gazed into her eyes.
It was erotic.
It was erotic and it turned her on so much.
She knew she had to refrain herself from moving just let unless she found herself tackling Naruto to the floor. Jumping him and having her wicked way with him, while the front door was wide open for all to see.
