Chapter 40
A/N: Ah, here it is, the new chapter. It'd have come out faster, but three days ago my dog and I were attacked by a vicious pitbull. I am fine (other than being furious, that is), but my doggie is pretty hurt and I've been nursing him, skipping both on Uni and writing. Also, this chapter contains implied child abuse - I delved a little into Pein's past.
Satterb, thank you for the review! *hugs* I too can't believe they're 100 already. XD
CHAPTER 40
At Pein’s admission, Kakashi felt a mixture of elation and pure horror. Family. He hadn’t had one in a very long time. He was used to his solitary, withdrawn lifestyle to the point that until a month ago, he hadn’t wanted to change it anymore. Had thought that it was pointless to even try and change the situation – they would only end up hurt and probably dead. And now, all of a sudden, he found himself having a family.
“Kakashi?” Pein asked quietly.
“Mm?” the Jounin wouldn’t look at him.
“Did I say something wrong?”
Kakashi did look up and met his eyes and was taken aback by his expression – those quicksilver eyes were never able to hide any emotion, despite of Pein’s excellent poker-face, and now they were filled with raw apprehension, quickly being replaced by hurt.
‘He’s taking my silence for rejection.’ Kakashi realized and hurriedly answered.
“No. Not at all. It just feels strange.”
“What does?”
“Having a family. I don’t know how to function in a family anymore, love.” He looked down sadly.
Pein smiled then, one of those rare, warm smiles that almost didn’t belong on that perpetually serious face:
“So far you’ve been doing pretty well, I’d say.” He pointed out.
Kakashi could feel himself flushing and buried his face in Pein’s shirt. It was really embarrassing how his lover was capable of making him, a grown man, blush with only a few words. His voice was muffled when he asked his next question:
“Am I supposed to have sex with Itachi and Kisame then?”
The chest under his face suddenly shook soundlessly and Kakashi looked up curiously to see the reason for it, realizing that Pein was actually trying to hold back a giggle.
“Kakashi, you’re not supposed to do anything you don’t want to do.” He grew serious again. “Do you want to?”
The Jounin’s jaw went slack at the question.
“I… uh..”
Pein’s elegant fingers caressed his face and slid over his lips sensuously.
“You do, don’t you?”
“I wouldn’t cheat on you!” he exclaimed vehemently. Pein leaned down and planted a soft kiss on his lips, his tongue snaking out to lick at Kakashi’s mouth and the Jounin readily opened his lips to let him in. The red-head’s hand in his hair tightened its grip and pushed his face harder against Pein’s, their kiss morphing from passionate to brutal and possessive as his lover’s other hand roamed hungrily all over his body. When he let him go, they were both flushed and panting and wanting.
“If it were anyone else, it’d be cheating.” Pein murmured against his lips. “I told you, they’re family.”
“You’re giving me a blessing or something?” Kakashi whispered back.
Pein’s hand on his back slid under his thin shirt and caressed the warm skin, tracing the lines of his muscles with his fingertips.
“Have you though about it?” he asked softly. “About the two of them? Which one would you like more? Large, powerful Kisame or sweet, delicate Itachi? And he is sweet, you know. As submissive as you are and he likes being taken care of.”
Kakashi’s breathing, already quickened by their kiss, started coming out in short, needy gasps, heat rolling through his body in waves at Pein’s description.
“While Kisame is like a force of nature, so large and strong and overwhelming that all you can do is let go and let him sweep you away. You don’t have to worry about anything when you’re with him.” He licked Kakashi’s lips again. “When you’re impaled on him you’re stretched so wide and filled so good that you feel like you’d never walk again, but it feels so good, Kakashi.”
Kakashi pressed his whole body against his lover and began to rock back and forth. Pein’s hand on his back slid down to cup his bottom and pull the Jounin to lie on top of him, reaching between them with his other hand to loosen their pants and lower them, pressing their base arousals together. All the while he kept talking to his lover:
“Which one would you like, hmm? Do you want to have Itachi? He’s like a kitten, you know… he’ll writhe under you and beg you for more no matter how hard you give it to him…” Kakashi whimpered helplessly at those words and rubbed himself desperately against his lover, their erections sliding against each other as his thighs tightened around Pein’s hips for better leverage. Pein offered Kakashi his open palm:
“Lick, beautiful.” He ordered breathily and Kakashi obeyed readily, his tongue darting out and running over the smooth hand, his lips closing over each finger and suckling gently between moving onto the other. Pein gasped at the sensation and the hand on Kakashi’s bottom urged him to move faster. When he was pleased that his palm was sufficiently wet, he slid it down between their bodies and wrapped it around their straining erections, offering his other hand to his lover for the same treatment. Despite the maddening stimulation, Kakashi licked and suckled on his fingers again, knowing what would come next. Pein smiled and lowered his hand back to his lover’s bare behind, fondling a smooth cheek for a moment before sliding his fingers between and rubbing them over his needy entrance, then thrust in his index and middle finger all the way in. Kakashi keened and buried his face in the crook of Pein’s neck, licking and sucking at his flesh as the man teased them both.
“And Kisame…” his lover’s voice came out choked and hoarse this time, his breath coming in and out so fast that he was barely able to talk “Kisame will press you down against the bed and he’d fuck you until you can’t walk. You’d feel his cock inside of you for days on end, it’d hurt but you’d love every single second of it.”
On top of him, Kakashi began to shake. The fingers inside of him were thrusting in the same wild pace as the hand around their cocks.
“Or maybe…ohhh….” Pein let out a soft, mewling sound before he continued “you want all three of us… Kisame and Itachi wrapped around you and my cock down your throat. Would you like that, love?”
Kakashi shrieked and came, his body spasming in the throes of his orgasm, rocking wildly between the hand around his erection and the one inside of him. Pein followed soon after, grabbing Kakashi and pressing him even closer as he quaked between his thighs, grunting in his ear.
Afterwards they were sticky and sweaty and tired, but Kakashi didn’t mind either of those things. They cleaned up as much as they could with the water from the basin next to them and returned to the animal hide and curled up together on it.
“Did you make love to him here?” Kakashi asked after a while.
“To whom?”
“You friend, the one oh the photograph?”
Pein sighed and covered his eyes with a hand.
“His name was Yahiko, actually. My friend’s name. He was the one making love to me, most of the time.”
The admission shouldn’t have surprised Kakashi, but it did. Kisame aside, Pein didn’t seem like the kind of man who liked to submit on a regular basis – and neither had his younger version looked like he was any different.
“You loved him.” Kakashi stated.
“Yes, I loved them both. In a different sort of way, because I wasn’t intimate with Konan the way I was with Yahiko, but they were all the family I had, after I lost my parents.”
The was a long, serene silence before Kakashi spoke again:
“Tell me about them.”
“My friends?” Pein sounded defensive.
“Your parents. I feel you’re not ready to talk about your friends.” Kakashi said softly. Pein nodded slowly.
“I was very young when I lost my parents – no more than 10 years old. My parents weren’t Ninja, actually. Before the war started, my father traded with cloth – the finest wool and silk you could find.” The last was said in a clearly advertising tone, as if he was imitating his father. Pein smiled at the memory. “You could say I grew up in a rich home and was quite pampered. I must’ve been a spoiled brat…” he took a deep breath and continued “After the war with Iwa started, my father lost everything, his business went down the drain. We barely scrounged an existence in the next several years. We were grateful that we still had a house to shelter from the incessant rain.
And that night…It was raining that night too. We heard the noise by the front door and realized someone was trying to break in. We hid.” His voice was growing more and more emotionless as he spoke. “It turned out it was Ninja who had come to search for food. They were desperate and began to tear the place apart. We tried to escape…” he trailed off and swallowed before continuing “ I was so clumsy… so slow. I tripped on something and they heard us. My own stupidity alerted them. And then they saw us too. My father attacked them…maybe he was trying to buy time for mother and me, I’ll never know…”
“Pein, you don’t have to do this…”
Pein didn’t seem like he heard him at all, and spoke as if he was hypnotized, in the grips of the terrifying memory.
“They killed them. The Ninja killed my parents. Neither of them was even armed. I can still smell their blood. I can still feel it on my face.”
“What happened after that?” Kakashi asked, realizing that he wouldn’t be able to pull his lover out of his stupor before he was done talking and tried to speed it along.
“My Rin’negan manifested.” Pein said flatly. “I don’t remember what I did to them. One moment they’re alive and leaning over me, and the next they’re dead, and there’s even more blood on me than before.”
Kakashi found Pein’s hand and wrapped his fingers around it, surprised at how cold and stiff it was. He tightened his grip and gently began to rub the limb, trying return warmth to it. Pein was looking at the cave’s ceiling, his face emotionless and the usually expressive eyes gone empty and glassy.
“I left home after that. There was no point in staying there any more, it’d have attracted even more looters.” He continued after a while. “I wandered… I begged strangers for food or tried to steal it, when it was possible. I wasn’t really good at it.” He quieted down again. “If I was too desperate I went to the soldiers… they paid for my services, my age didn’t matter to them. Why would it? I was nothing but a piece of meat to them.”
At the last words Kakashi stiffened, outrage and disgust filling him to the brink. He knew that in a warzone the destitute population resolved to that sort of means to survive, but to think that fellow Ninja took advantage of his lover like that made him see red.
“Those soldiers… Were there any Konoha nin among them?”
“Of course there were, Kakashi.” Pein answered. “Why wouldn’t there be?” he looked down. “I can’t feel my hand anymore.”
Kakashi loosened his grip immediately, not having realized that he had tightened his fingers to the point that a normal person’s hand would’ve been broken.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered.
Pein reached with his other hand and pet his hair gently.
“It’s okay. Things changed after I met Yahiko and Konan. I wasn’t alone anymore. I wasn’t completely helpless.” He smiled. “I had a family again.”
