All Alone

Chapter Five


Naruto sighed sitting down after Sakura went home and Kakashi told Sasuke that everything was taken care of. He would be reimbursed for paying rent and bills all those years. Sasuke, like Naruto will also be given a little allowance for misc items they would like.
“I’m surprised you don’t at least have a radio.” The blonde said and Sasuke ‘s eyebrows slanted a little. “I mean what do you do when you’re alone here?”
Sasuke didn’t answer so Naruto went over to sit by him.
“Well?” He asked and Sasuke pushed him away a little.
“Don’t get so close!” Sasuke growled. “I write you nosey little tard.”
“Tard? What the hell is a tard?”
This time Sasuke’s eyebrows slanted in annoyance.
“It’s short for retard.” He said and Naruto jumped up with large white eyes.
“I am not retarded!” The blonde yelled.
“I’m not saying you are, I’m saying you act like it sometimes.”
“Same difference!” Naruto shouted.
There was silence them until Sasuke puffed out a breath.
“Naruto I am not trying to be mean.” Sasuke began.
“You’re apologizing?” Naruto asked stunned.
“I never try to fight with you in the first place. You’re the one who thinks we’re always in competition and must fight.” Sasuke said and Naruto let it mull over.
“I…It’s just you seem to act like you’re better than everyone. Especially me.” Naruto spoke, sitting down again.
“I don’t try to. I’m not better than everyone.” Sasuke said. “I don’t think anyone is actually better than anyone really. People just believe that to set goals for themselves, when in reality they are just trying to get stronger.”
Naruto sat there for a minute and thought it through.
‘It makes sense. Damn it! He’s actually really smart.’ Naruto thought.
“Why don’t you talk this often?’ Naruto asked.
“I don’t see the point. Others think I’m stuck up or as you say think I’m better than them.” Sasuke said. “Just because I would talk to them I won’t change their opinion.”
Naruto went quiet at that until he realized something.
“You’re hurt that people think that of you? Am I right?” He asked and Naruto looked out the window.
“I am human. I have feelings just like everyone else.” Sasuke said.
There was another awkward silence and Sasuke got up.
“I’m going to lie down.” He said and Naruto went to his side to help. “I can get there myself.”
“You’re not suppose to walk around for too long.” Naruto said and guided him to the bedroom. Inside Sasuke gently laid on the bed and Naruto blushed at the almost erotic scene. Sasuke have a flush from the throbbing in his side which was also making him pant a little. With the raven haired boys’ lip slightly open it looked like he was trying to seduce his teammate.
“Uh…is something wrong?” Naruto asked.
“My side just hurts a little.” Sasuke said. “Why are you blushing?”
Sasuke noticed the blonde was staring at him funny and his face was a light shad of red.
“Oh…I’m not.” Naruto denied and his face went darker.
“Whatever.” Sasuke said and closed his eyes. The pain in his side was worst than before, the strain of putting away the groceries and stretching for the top shelves of the cupboards.
Naruto tore himself away from his teammate and went to the living room. The silence was almost overwhelming and so he decided to read some of Sasuke’s magazines.
