Another Betrayal
Warnings: none, Slight Spoilers from Manga 368..ish....
AN:.........soooooo....-whistles-....I updated!!!! woohoo!! lol I really hope you enjoy this chapter. And you might be confused..i hope you're confused, hehe, Ask question, I *might* answer them...=D
blah blah blah: past event

“If he were to be ever be captured and brought down, the amount of knowledge his body possesses…not to mention the sealed Demon….” Tsunade trailed off her eyes scanning the scroll currently rolled out across the floor.
“If he got captured we would know it” Grumbled the grey-haired Sannin leaning against the doorframe, his eyes gazing at the stacks of scrolls the Hokage had already gone through,
“My question is how he managed to steal the scrolls in the first place.” He continued. The library where they were stored was so highly guarded it would take Jiraiya himself a bit of time to get past its guards and defenses successfully. Tsunade pursed her lips angrily rolling the scroll back together,
“He’s learned too much for this to be a test of his limits, most of these techniques require the amount of chakra a Jinnchikura possesses, and I want to know who he’s after and why.” She said softly standing up and resealing the room.
“Lady Tsunade!” A voice rang down the hallway and the blonde women looked up sharply, Shizune came skidding to a halt in front of her, breathing hard,
“The council is demanding to see you, rumors have been heard!” Shizune said in a gasping hushed tone. Tsunade’s fists clenched at the information,
“They’ve heard of Naruto’s departure?!” She asked, enraged beyond belief at who could have told the council,
“Yes! And that you’ve sent the Uchiha after him without approval!” She continued looking even more concerned then before. Tsunade nodded once stiffly,
“Jiraiya.” She said curtly. The silver haired Sannin’s lips pursed and he disappeared with barely a nod.

“Hokage-sama.” A curt cold voice called out among the council members, though the Hokage and council always worked together in my aspects of running the village, Tsunade knew that the council’s decisions on Naruto and his leaving would be finding him and destroying him. Her eyes narrowed,
“I do not believe we have fear of the seal breaking” Tsunade’s voice was flat and hard, combating against the even colder stares from the councilmen and women.
“He is a danger to this village. And by our…discoveries he has gained more power then any of the legendary Sannin.” One paused, his rasping voice continue before Tsunade could, “And sending out the Uchiha who has not finished his proper confinement for transgressions against Konoha. You have sent out a traitor to find a traitor.” The councilmember said firmly, earning a few nods from the others.
“Naruto would never betray us.” Tsunade hissed, her eyes narrowing in rage at his implication,
“From our accounts, not only has he stolen forbidden scrolls and learned from them he has taken something else.” A woman with a cold voice said, her dark eyes regarding the blonde standing before them,
“The forbidden scrolls have been returned. He has taken nothing else.” Tsunade replied curtly. The elderly women whose hair was pinned back primly, lifted her gaze,
“He has taken the Fourth Hokage’s scroll and ceremonial robe.” Tsunade’s jaw tightened at the words.
“He has taken both?” She asked softly, her mind racing at what reasons were behind this new information, this new…betrayal. Those items were precious to Konoha, sacred almost.
“An elite squad will be dispatched immediately after this meeting. Your signature will be needed.” Another councilman spoke up pushing a scroll forward on the table he was sitting behind. The blonde women stepped forward. The feelings were warring in her body. What was he up too? Has he really been pushed over the edge….?
“I will only sign if I may add one more person to the squad.” She said slowly. A few exchanged looks, before one finally nodded. Closing her eyes she sighed in defeat before lowering her hand to the scroll, picking up the marking pen next to it. It felt as if she was selling her soul as soon as the ink hit the paper.

Hands forming the ever familiar seal, the young man released a soft controlled breath. A scroll lay open upon the grass revealing the secrets within. The red chakra that resided in his body flared to life around him before he finished the seal, all at once the ground beneath him rumbled to life at the chakra now building around him. Luckily for him he was training far beyond the walls of Konoha. His secrets would not be known by anyone. Once control of the angry red chakra had been gained, his fingers moved swiftly to complete the signs. A dull thud of pain erupted through his body, as if he was being split in two, but he held firm of his senses, mouth curling up in a snarl until finally the thudding pain abruptly stopped.
“….Finally.” A voice said behind him. Nodding once, the man turned, behind him eyes like his own assailed him. Perfect. A sharp ach of pain threaded up into his skull which meant though he could create him, he could not hold him for very long. Cursing under his breath, his wavering fingers shot together to form the releasing seals and he mentally braced himself for the merging once more. A sour look erupted on the others face before getting pulled back into the formers body. Gasping out loud, he kept his fingers together in the seal, clenching his teeth down until the final merging was complete. Checking his labored breathing the man’s stance wavered slightly before he grounded himself, the hooded cerulean eyes gazing down at the scroll sprawled across the ground.
“I. Will.Get.This.” He hissed under his breath, his fingers came together once more, his shaking now stopped. The chakra flared around him as he formed the seals again.

“Sakura.” A voice called behind the pink-headed Kunoichi currently stewing over a scroll. She looked up to see dark eyes assailing her, the shorter haired raven headed man nudged his head once towards somewhere private before turning around and walking from the room. Sakura saw Shizune working diligently on dignitary papers since Tsunade was currently in a meeting with the council. Standing up smoothly she followed the other man from the room, she didn’t notice when Tsunade’s guard and conscience eye her as she left.
Leaving the building she spotted Sai leaning against a tree right outside the academy. Stopping in front of him, he nudged his head once more before bounding up into the trees. Surprised, and quite miffed that she didn’t have any idea what this was about she hurriedly followed him.
“Sai! Wait up!” She called out landing on tree branch. They were moving faster and faster out the villages range. The other young man glanced back at her,
“Hurry up. We’re being followed” He said flatly. There was no amusement or sarcasm laced with his words just urgency.
“Followed?” Sakura looked around speeding up even more. They moved faster and farther, finally leaving the village altogether. Sakura took in the forest they were moving through before finally the other man stopped altogether dropping down to the foliage filled ground below. Sakura swiftly followed.
“Sai..what is this about?!” She finally exclaimed, anger coursing through her body as stared at her coolly.
“Someone’s let the proverbial cat out of the bag to the council.” Sai said suddenly, his arms crossed over his chest. Sakura stared at him, before looking around,
“Naruto?” She questioned, hoping above all it wasn’t. Sai nodded grimly, before his eyes shot up,
“Come on, we need to keep moving.” He suddenly disappeared into the trees and Sakura was hard pressed to keep up.
“Sai!” She growled. The other young man suddenly whirled around and grabbed her wrist tugging her forward.
“Shizune sent someone to follow us.” He hissed under his breath. Narrowing her green eyes Sakura nodded before once more after dodging through the trees. They landed in a small under grove of trees and foliage well hidden from the above trees. Sai pulled her close, both crouching down,
“The council is sending out a group of highly skilled ANBU….I am among that group” The raven headed man paused, his eyes looking up, taking in the surrounding area,
“A hunting party?” Sakura asked, not believing the words he was saying. Sai looked back at her, a flicker of emotions the pinkette has never seen crossing quickly over his face,
“Our orders are to kill him at all cost.”
