Chapter Four
Okay, I know this chapter is ridiculously late and I’m very sorry. A lot has happened and none of it’s good. I wont go into details, its too depressing.
Anyway, I am completely pissed off. My laptop, which I have had for four years and love has a virus that seems to be a bugger to remove. My dad is doing his best, but he thinks I may have to wipe everything, and in the process will lose everything and I have no back up disc, hence being pissed off.
So, I’ve had to do this chapter by memory, and hope it’s okay. I liked the other version better, and there’s something about this version that I’m not sure about. It’s another filler chapter, but at least its one, right?
Um, oh and thanks to Hana Kogane, she thought of the new title and I think it’s better than mine, so thanks to you.
Well, there ya go. Thank you to everyone who reviewed, your support and encouragement means so much to be me. So this is dedicated to you. On with the chapter, and I hope you like it.
Oh, one more thing. Sorry about any spelling or grammar mistakes.

Chapter Four
When the hunter nin arrived back at Konoha, he made his way to the Hokage’s tower. He was definitely not looking forwards to this. He didn’t like Hiashi one little bit and knew what the man was capable of. One would just have to look around the village to see what he had done. People were walking around in groups, hurrying from shop to shop to get what they needed, not lingering to stop and talk with friends, like they used too. The village looked dead and the atmosphere was oppressive. The villagers were afraid of being attacked by rouge ninja's, now that most of the strongest ninja’s were gone. They feared for their lives, and the lives of their children. They didn't have the confidence in Hiashi, they didn't think the man was capable of protecting them, some thought that he wouldn't care for them, all he cared about was himself.
When the hunter nin stood before the Hokage, he pushed aside his uneasiness and faced the man. “The news I have is not good, I’m afraid.” he said.
The long haired man who sat proudly beside the desk raised an eyebrow. “I can see that, as you have not brought one of those brats back with you. Tell me what happened.” he demanded.
“I was about to make my move and grab one of the twin girls, when I was hit from behind. I came too in that village, with Uzumaki-san and Uchiha-san. They questioned me, and made me tell them what I intended to do.” he paused when he felt Hiashi’s chakra begin to suffocate him. “That is not all. It was your daughter and nephew, with their teams that stopped me.” again he paused, as the chakra began to swirl around the man. “I have a message from Hinata-sama. She said-” he stopped abruptly, he did not want to know the reaction of what he was about to say. Hinata’s message might cause him his death, just for passing it on.
Hiashi raised an eyebrow. “Just get on with it.” he snapped.
“She said you are a bastard and she is not returning to the village. Her team as well as Neji’s will now be staying in Uzumaki’s village.” he gulped as Hiashi stood and watched as the man stalked over to the window.
Hiashi glared out the window, his eyes unfocused. ‘I would love to kill that demon brat, he is the cause of all of this. If he had just taken the Hokage’s position if the first place.’ he sighed and turned back to the hunter nin, suppressing a sneer as the man jumped. “Leave me.” he commanded and watched in satisfaction as the hunter fled his office. He stalked back to his chair and slumped in his seat, bringing his hand up to massage his temples, he was getting a headache and it wasn’t even lunchtime. He straightened up at he felt three distinct chakra signatures and pulled a scroll towards him.
“Enter.” he called when there was a knock on his door.
Kurenai, Asuma and Gai entered and stood before him. He nodded his thanks for their mission reports. “I hope everything went well?” he asked.
“Yes. All was fine.” Kurenai replied.
“Good, good.” he said and leant back in his chair. “I’m afraid I have some bad news. While you were away, your old teams decided to betray us. They are now residing that farce of a village with Uchiha and Uzumaki, but do not worry, they will be dealt with accordingly.” he smirked and the three before him narrowed their eyes, even Gai was not his usual exuberant self. Without his ex-student, nothing would be the same. They had all felt something was wrong when they had returned to the village and now they knew why.
“You may leave.” Hiashi said dismissively and waved his hand.
The three left and stood outside the tower. Asuma shook his head. “This is the last straw. I will not remain here. Now that my ex-team have left, I think it is time to follow their example.”
Kurenai nodded. “Yes, I have to agree.” she said and looked around at the village, it looked like a ghost town. “I will leave with you. What about you Gai?” she asked.
The man in the green jumpsuit nodded. “Yes, I could not imagine staying here without Lee.” he said quietly.
The other two had never seen him this quiet before and it was disconcerting. They longed to hear his exuberant voice calling out, even though they found it very annoying.
“Right, I am going to pack my belongings and get Konohamaru, I will not leave him in this village without me. Meet you at the gate in an hour.” Asuma said, leaving the two standing there.
Gai too began to move, and lastly Kurenai, she looked back to the Hokage’s tower and sighed. This village was her home, and the Hokage monument being the place she loved to go sometimes to look down upon the village. Shaking her head, she made her way back home. The village may be her home, but staying meant she believed in what Hiashi was doing. She hated the man, and knew he only wanted one thing, and that thing was power.
--
An hour later, the three, along with Konohamaru, Moegi, Udon, and their parents stood before the gate. With one last look at the village, they stepped through the gates and left their home behind, to a home they knew would welcome them.
The gate guards stood before the gates and watched as the group got smaller and smaller, before vanishing from sight. They sighed and looked at each other. They would have to report this to the Hokage.
The two men stayed looking into each others eyes, and both held their hands up. “Best out of three.” and proceeded the game of jan-ken-pon to see who would be the unlucky person to have to go to the Hokage.
It was with reluctance that the loser began to make his way to the tower. He entered the building and stood outside the door a moment, before raising his hand and knocking.
“Enter.”
He gulped and entered.
--
The remaining guard at the gate waited and wasn’t surprised when he heard the shattering of glass and an object came soaring out of the now smashed window. Hiashi was predictable and he too was beginning to wonder why he was staying in this village, it was no longer protected like it had been when Tsunade was Hokage.
He turned and watched as his guard partner returned to his side. Usually he would be making fun of the man and laughing at his misfortune, but he didn’t find this situation amusing. With a nod to the man, they returned to duty.
Meanwhile a very pissed off Hokage was going berserk. He had already trashed his office and was looking around for something else to break. He hadn’t taken the news well. He was hurt that he had been betrayed. As Hokage, he was supposed to be protected with the lives of others and instead he was being deserted. He looked up and tried to calm himself as the village elders stood in the doorway.
Koharu and Homura looked at the man they had chosen to be their Hokage and felt revulsion. The had doomed the village by putting the man before them in charge and now they were paying for that mistake, by watching as the ninja’s and civilians deserted the place that had been their home.
Homura sighed. “Get a hold of yourself.” he snapped at the long haired man. “You are Hokage, act like one.” he looked to Koharu and knew he wasn’t the only one to have these doubts, this guilt at what they had done to their village. “We have to rectify this mistake.” he said and left the room with Koharu, leaving Hiashi frowning. He looked after the pair and wondered what they were going to do. He paused and shook his head. “No, they wouldn’t take my Hokage title away.” he whispered to himself and walked over to the window and pursed his lips. “Would they?” with a thoughtful expression on his face, he went back to his desk and flipped through his scrolls. He had seen it somewhere.
“Ah, here it is.” he mumbled, and flipped the scroll open. It was a warning to all villages about a group of rebel ninja’s from different villages that had defected and were a very powerful group. They looked like they were taking over from the Akatsuki. He smiled and summoned his best hunter nins. He would hire this group to kill every member of this village who had betrayed him and gone to that place he would never recognise as a village.
--
The four hunter nins that left the village were apprehensive about finding this rouge group that had been terrorizing and killing people. There orders were simple, find the group, escort them back to Konoha. They had a scroll from the Hokage to give the leader of this group, but they didn’t think they would accept whatever the Hokage wanted. The leader of his four man team nodded and the four of them jumped up to the trees and began speeding through the forest. The Hokage had heard the group had last been seen somewhere near the waterfall village.
--
Later that night, Naruto and Sasuke were strolling around the village, hand in hand. It had been a long day and they had gotten Hinata, Neji and the others settled, and now they were alone.
Sasuke looked around, it was peaceful. Their village was up and running and was already making money from the missions they were doing and people that passed them seemed to be happy. He looked to his dobe and smiled, Naruto looked happy and the tension that seemed to always be present in the blondes shoulders were now relaxed. He nodded to himself, they had made the right choice and now all they had to do was sort out Hiashi. The man was becoming a liability, but Kuro had forbade them to deal with the man. Apparently it wasn’t Hiashi’s time to die yet, and the man was needed. He shook his head, he didn’t like it, but they had had to sit through a meeting with other new angels, though they weren’t new, Kuro had thought it would be a good idea, and it told them everything they needed to know. Death was a so called design and they had lists of who would die and it was all in order, and they had to follow it.
Sasuke had pulled Kuro aside at the end and asked whether he had messed up the order when he had dealt with Sakura. The angel had shook his head and smiled. “It all happened as it should.” before disappearing, leaving Sasuke to roll his eyes. Shaking the thoughts away, he pulled Naruto against him and was rewarded with a bright smile.
After a make-out session, they began to make their way back to their house, but stopped when they saw people coming through the gates. They waited, and Naruto smiled when he saw who it was.
“Ni-san.” Konohamaru greeted.
“Hello.” Naruto nodded to the group.
“Hello Naruto-kun, Sasuke-san.” Kurenai smiled. “I hope we will be welcome?”
Naruto beamed. “Of course. We still have many houses that are empty. Come.” he said and led the way. After walking a short distance he held out his hand for Moegi and her parents to enter one of the houses, the one next went to Udon and his parents. The next one went to Kurenai, Asuma and Konohamaru. The two former had been together for a while and decided to live together.
Naruto turned to Gai and smiled. “Gai-sensei, would you like to see Lee?”
Gai smiled and nodded, and flashed his teeth. The two blinked slightly and led the way to a house not far away. Lee had taken a small two bedroom house for himself and Naruto knew the two would live together, he was right as he watched the two men in green jumpsuits hug and cry.
Sasuke had watched all this and shook his head, but his lips twitched. “Let’s go dobe.” he said and grabbed the blondes hand.
Naruto nodded. “See you later.” he said and began walking. He paused and turned. “Oh and welcome to ‘The village Hidden by Tenshi‘s.”
