Can't Live Without Love

Okay. Here is where I tell you that Kakashi is a little OOC. He just misses Naruto...

I did have M&Ms, one of the huge bags, too. But by the time I got an idea for this chapter, it was already half gone. I ate the rest in the process of typing. This is more a a 'what's going on in Konoha' and an answer to Nikana question than an actual chapter.

Nikana: It's a strange explination, but this should help you understand. It made sense in my head.

Ch. 5: ...Was Pissed

Kakashi was pissed. More specifically, he was pissed at a certian young Uchiha. He finally decided to read the good-bye note from Kyuubi. At the moment, the Copy-nin was off to find Sasuke at the Uchiha district training grounds.

With 3/4 of his mind on Naruto, Sasuke didn't sense Kakashi until he was on the ground after getting kicked by said ninja. It was then that Sasuke sensed the strong aura of anger coming from him.

"Kakashi-sensai. What are you doing here?" Sasuke asked as he stood up.

"I just came back from Tsunade's office, after reading a note."

'Oh shit. He knows.' Sasuke took a step back. "Okay, just let me explain. I didn't---"

The sentance was never finished because Sasuke was punched into a tree. Now, normally Sasuke would say that Kakashi would never kill him. But as it is, he was faced with a Sharingan left eye and a very angry right one.

"I probably deserved that." Sasuke said as he stood up on shaky legs. "But can---" He ended up on the ground again.

Before he killed the boy, Kakashi remembered that the Hokage wanted him. "Sasuke. Tsunade's office. Now." With that, he left.

'Now? But I can barely stand.'

Kakashi smirked as he walked away. Tsunade said sometime today, but he heard something about physical labor, and it would make it that much harder on Sasuke if he could barely stand. Say hello to the sadistic side of Kakashi.

Tsunade was pissed. Evidently, four months of paying Naruto's rent was for nothing. His landlady came to see her, and brought papers that said Naruto was to be kicked out. There was no way around it; the Hokage is not all powerful.

So now here Tsunade was, trying to figure out what do with Naruto's stuff. She suddenly got a very good idea. Kakashi had told her about Sasuke and Naruto, so she decided it was time to punish the Uchiha.

Sasuke did not like the grin on Tsunade's face. It reminded him of the one Naruto has right before he purposely pisses the other boy off. Not that he sees those grins in his sleep, it's just hard to forget something that promises pain.

"Uchiha. Naruto is being kicked out of his apartment. You're place is the only one big enough to accomadate all of his stuff. I want you to move all of it from his place to yours. Including the bed and dressser. Now. By yourself."

"What? I can't carry a bed by myself!"

"You should have thought of that before you scared Naruto away."

He mentally cringed. 'Damn it. Kakashi told her.' That thought made him wonder who else knows. 'Probably Iruka, he was---'

"Uchiha Sasuke! I can't belive you did that to Naruto!..." Iruka said as he stormed into the office.

'Yep. Iruka knows.' Turning, Sasuke gulped. He finally understood why Naruto was more afraid of Iruka than anyone else in Konoha.

"...and they call you a GENIUS! You're lucky that---"

"I have a job to do so...see you later!" Sasuke walked out of the room as calmly as he could, leaving a yelling Iruka with a smirking Tsunade.

Sasuke walked out, and quickly realized that Kakashi must have told all of Naruto's friends, because all of them had a few choice words. Itachi would die of either a) embarrasment or b) laughter if he ever found out his little brother was scared of Hinata Hyuuga.

'Oh god. I hope no one told Garaa. He wouldn't hesitate to kill me. I guess I'll know in three days.' Sasuke continued to Naruto's apartment, which was on the complete opposite side of Konoha from Sasuke. Good thing he copied Kage Bunshin no Jutsu from Naruto when they were genin.

Itachi was pissed, not that anyone could tell. There were two strong chakra singitures behind him, and he swears they were following him. Kisame was no help - he died a couple years ago during a fight against Orochimaru. What the hell was he thinking, going up against a Sannin alone?

So the oldest Uchiha was doing everything possible to lose them and avoid a fight. But the persistant bastards kept comming. Who would be looking for him in Earth Country, anyways?

Kyuubi was pissed. Itachi was trying to loose them, even if he wasn't doing a very good job of it. And the longer it took to find him, the more excuses he had to make as to why he wouldn't tell Naruto where they were going.

"Hey Kyuu," Naruto said, just then realizing something.

"Yeah?"

"How come you haven't poofed out of existance yet? I mean, you're in a shadow clone and have gotten hit a bunch of times. Shouldn't you be gone by now?"

Kyuubi smirked. "Nope. You seem to be forgetting who you're talking to."

Naruto interuppted before the fox could explain how great he was. "And you seem to be forgetting about that 'leash'. Now, why aren't you gone?"

"Think of my chakra like sand."

"Sand?"

"Yes. Sand in the desert flows around freely with the wind, because nothing is there to old it in place. But, if you took a flimsy container, like a plastic cup, and packed as much sand as possible in it, the sand will have no where to go, therefore the cup will become stronger.

"The shadow clone is the cup, and my chakra is the sand. It's all confined into this body, so I may as well be solid."

"Oh." Naruto still didn't get it, but didn't feel like getting a headach.

Sasuke was pissed. And a little worried. Four months. Four damned months, and not one sign from his..er, the dobe or Kyuubi. Not even Jiraya's 'informatives' had any usefull information.

And his heart felt a little weird, like the time he almost killed Naruto at the Valley of the End. He never did figure out what that feeling was. Then again, he ignored it then, still firmly believing that he couldn't feel anything other than hatred.
