Heat

"So let me get this straight, ever since Naruto was twelve he has been going into heat once a year, at first the Third Hokage helped hide this and protected Naruto by keeping her away from men. Then when he died Jiriaya actually helped him, that perv kept this a secret? I would have never guessed. And this year Naruto went to Kurenai for help and she sent Naruto to Asuma's little lodge to hide, and Shikamaru she had you take him, but he changed right after you arrived and seduced you. Am I right so far?" Shikamaru and Naruto both nodded and then she continued, "So now you think Naruto is pregnant and you are his permanent mate?"

Shikamaru had to admit it did sound wild, "Yes Tsunade-sama, we came to you because I want to make sure Naruto and the baby are alright." Naruto nodded and added, "Oba-chan I know I should have come to you, but to be honest I didn't think we could keep it from Ino and Sakura at the hospital and I knew you would want to try and examine the change. Sakura and Ino can't keep a secret to save the village."

Tsunade leaned forward and put her chin on her fist, she had to admit the kid had a point. So she decided she couldn't hold it against him or her, whatever. "Well Naruto let's take a good look and see what's going on, okay." Shikamaru put his hand on her back and gently pushed her forward, "I'm going, I'm going... shit, you are troublesome." Shika laughed at how she seemed to have adopted his saying, pressing a kiss to her cheek he whispered, "I'll be right here Megitsune." Naruto nodded and sat up on the examination table. Most men would have been struck at the normal term for a gold digger or wily woman, but Shikamaru and Naruto had both laughed the first time he called her a vixen, and now it calmed her to hear his pet name for her.

Tsunade couldn't understand one thing, "Naruto why are you so reluctant, you have check ups all the time?" The pretty blond looked at Shikamaru then at the Hokage, "Well... I just, I'mscaredI'mnotpregnantandShikawillleaveme." Tsunade looked perplex and then turning to Shikamaru asked, "I made out your name but not much else what did she just say?"

Shikamaru was mad, he couldn't believe she was letting this upset her, which couldn't be good for her or the baby. "Woman! No matter what, last night made me your mate right?" Naruto shrank back a little and nodded, watching the normally calm man fume. "Then whether you are pregnant or not, your mine and you shouldn't be worrying about a baby that might, or might not be there. If you aren't we'll figure it out okay, you are still female for some reason? Naruto, Megitsune, please don't get worried about something we don't have to yet, I'm here and I'll be here, until I die."

Naruto was crying now and she jumped down from the table, "Shika I love you. I know you may not be able to say it yet but I do love you." He kissed her softly and wiped away her tears. "Alright you two this is making me gain weight, this is so sweet I'm sick, of course the mental picture of this happening in a year is helping me cope." They both turned and if looks could kill the village would need a new Hokage. "Kidding, geesh can't a woman joke. Now Naruto get over here and let me check you."

Naruto climbed back up onto the table, "Here we go..." She lifted her hand and then Naruto felt the warm sensation as she used her chakra to check his new feminine body. "Well Naruto congratulations, you are pregnant, and the baby has attached to your uterus good, which is unheard of this early but Kyubi may have something to do with that. I do want you to start eating right though, this baby can't grow with just ramen. Shika are you two planning on getting married because there might be problems if Naruto's identity gets out. Let's do this while everyone thinks she's a stranger, that will give them nine months to get used to it."

Naruto seem to be getting worried again, "Shikamaru once the ceremony is over then they can just get over it." He didn't like it but he knew she was right. "We are getting married and if anyone doesn't like it they can do without Nara medicine next time they need it." Naruto wrapped her arms around his waist, "Shika you don't mean that, it's ok, we don't have to tell anyone until after the ceremony. And we aren't going to keep medicine from anyone." Shikamaru hugged her close and then promised, "Okay I won't unless their rude to you, then tough shit!"

Tsunade watched the exchange and then sarcastically sighed, "Aww young love." The two looked at her and then each other before bursting out in laughter. Tsunade just shook her head, 'yep, she's hormonal, but what's his excuse?'.
