 Sakura’s Jealousy

A/N A bit different than usual and sorry not much in the lemon department but this just had to be done for Sakura who we all love to hate.

 

Sakura was so jealous

She just can’t see straight

They’re sucking face again

Naruto and his mate

 

It’s bad enough they both

Don’t notice that she’s there

But must they rub it in?

Obviously they just don’t care

 

Always with each other

Touching all the time

It really isn’t fair

Sasuke should be mine!

 

She’d loved him all these years

Gave him her devotion

It wasn’t her fault when

The curse seal set in motion

 

A nasty set of years

When Sasuke turned a traitor

She HAD to turn away

And take away her favor

 

How was she to know

That he would soon return

Accepted once again

It made her ire burn

 

If she had just not wavered

And given up her claim

She would now be using

His Uchiha name

 

Standing with arms crossed

Wishing she’d go blind

The scowl made her face ugly

Which now was all the time

 

Public displays of affection

Really were so tacky

What could they both be thinking?

The whole town must be wacky

 

Because they didn’t mind

Seeing those two grope

Most people thought it cute

There really was no hope

 

This whole town’s full of crazies

They should be ripped apart

Didn’t they all realize

The couple broke her heart?

 

Their ninja friends supported

And gave no ugly labels

They thought it was a good thing

And kept the two boys stable

 

Her plans to break them up

Had failed to work at all

Both Sasuke and Naruto’s

Feelings didn’t pall

 

She’d first tried a seduction

And Sasuke had just stared

It’s like he never saw her

He really didn’t care

 

And then she’d tried Naruto

He used to have a crush

If she could lead him on

He’d look ridiculous

 

But he had only laughed

And thought it was a joke

He didn’t have a clue

He really was a dope

 

Then she tried some rumors

Insulting them as men

But that only backfired

It made them MORE open

 

The last straw was the wedding

She could take no more

Why did she bother staying?

There’s nothing to stay for

 

As she said goodbye

Naruto wished her the best

Tears fell down his cheeks

He hugged her to his chest

 

And Sasuke just looked on

A smirk upon his face

Glad she was to leave

She left with all due haste

 

Now as the years went by

She sometimes paused to wonder

How they both were doing

And if she’d made a blunder

 

She might not have her Sasuke

But every now and then

She wished she had just settled

Being just their friend

 

She’d given up her friendships

Her village and her home

Her jealous petty nature

Had left her all alone

 

What if she returned?

Would she be welcomed back?

Naruto would have missed her

The only one in fact

 

She entered the town slowly

Seeing what had changed

The town seemed to be bustling

Not much was rearranged

 

When asking for directions

She got some surprised looks

It really made her nervous

She knew her body shook

 

Naruto was Hokage

And lived on Uchiha lands

With his kids and husband

Now the shaking was in her hands

 

As she approached the house

Children were seen running

Their parents must be close

Could they sense her chakra coming?

 

Standing on the porch

Naruto smiled wide

Sasuke’s arm ‘round his waist

Touching side by side

 

Sakura found she felt

Just a happy glow

Seeing her old teammates

Made her finally know

 

That they were good together

Were always meant to be

And she was very happy

There was no hate to see

 

Sasuke looked upon her

And gave a gentle smile

He saw that she’d accepted

What he’d known all the while

 

That the only place she had

Was teammate and dear friend

But that would only come

When foolish dreams did end

 

It was so clear and touching      

Never to be dismissed

What mattered most to Sasuke

Was Naruto’s happiness
