4: The Party Part Two
Please Love Me
Chapter Four: The Party Part Two
The party was going strong. Just about every ninja in the village and a few civilians showed up. Only a few of them knew the actual reason why the party was being thrown though.
But that didn’t stop them from attending the party and having a great time. And they were having a great time. Everyone was laughing or dancing or just sitting and talking. The music was pounding and blaring a fast song that everyone loved. The food and drink never ran low. So of course everyone was having fun.
Well, everyone except one, that is. Yep. Sasuke Uchiha was having the worst time of his life. In fact he was pissed. Why? Because he’s spent half his night so far running away from Sakura and the other half trying to stay away from Sakura. But she always seemed to find him. He hasn’t even been able to talk to Naruto. And to make matters worse, Neji seems to be glued to Naruto’s side, HIS NARUTO DAMIT.
The only time that he has seen those two apart was when Naruto was dancing with someone. And every second they were together he got more and more pissed. He just wanted to go over there and kiss Neji’s ass. Scream at him to get away from his man. Because Naruto is his. And he will realize it soon. He wont let some prick like Neji steal his heart away.
“Sasuke, there you are.” Sakura said as she made her way through the crowd to her love’s side. “Hey where did he go.”
‘Ha, take that you crazy. Damit, this isn’t supposed to be happening. Not tonight. I’m supposed to be the one he is with all night. And I would be, if it weren’t for the fucking crazy ass psycotic bitch. All night, all the way to get Tsunade and back, I had to listen to her go on about “our wedding” yeah like that would ever happen. Why cant she just leave me alone. Maybe then I can go over there and fight for Naruto instead of hiding over here watching that jackass move in on him….my him.’
Across the room similar thoughts were running through a certain blonde head.
Naruto was annoyed. Ever since their discussion in the kitchen, Neji has not left his side. He didn’t like it. It was seriously grinding on his nerves.
‘My damn. Why? I have to ask someone to dance just to get away from him. But I can’t dance all night. And as soon as I’m off of the dance floor there he is. Why? Is it because of that discussion in the kitchen….’
//Flashback//
~ “Neji are you gay?”
“….” ‘What? Am I gay? Why would he ask that? Could it be that he is interested? No! best to not get my hopes up!’
“Neji?” ‘Oh man, why won’t he say any….’
“Yes.”
“What?”
“I said yes, Naruto. I am gay. Why? Why are you asking me?”
‘Why? Why am I asking? Because I think I like you and you confused me. But I can’t tell him that. Shit what am I supposed to do?’
“Well, I’m asking because…..uuummm…..because you confuse me that’s why.” ‘ Not a lie. Just not the whole truth.’
“How did I confuse you?” ‘How the hell do I confuse him. Is that a good thing of or a bad thing. Please say it’s a good thing.’
“well every time I see you when you’re alone then you’re all over me. Flirting with me. But then when you and TenTen are together then you’re all over her and completely ignoring me.”
“And that’s the reason why you’re asking?” ‘Please say that’s not the only reason. Please say that it’s because you’re in love with me and you don’t like seeing her all over me. Because I only do it to make you jealous. It was her idea I swear. She said that it would make you notice me and fall in love with me. So of course I agreed to it.’
“Well then why do you do it? I mean you make me feel like you’re into me and then you make me feel like I made an ass out of myself and think that you were just playing around with me until she got there. And I don’t like it. You made me confused and then you hurt my feel…..” ‘Shit I wasn’t supposed to say that. I didn’t mean to say that. Damn now what is he going to think?’
“I hurt your feelings? Really? I am so sorry. I didn’t want to hurt you. I only did it because she said that I would help me get the attentions of the person that I am head over heels in love with. I am so so so so sorry.”
“Oh, so you were just flirting with me and her (though with her permission) just so you could get your crush to notice you? So you don’t like either of us? Wow. I am so sorry. I just made another ass of myself.”
“Naruto you don’t understand.”
“What do you mean”
‘Ok Neji this is it. Now is your chance to tell him how you feel. Just do it. Just do it.’
“Naruto, you are the person that I was talking about. You’re the guy that I’m in love with”
“Really?”
“Yes” ‘Ok that is a good thing right? I mean he isn’t running away disgusted or anything. Maybe he does feel the same as me?’
“Naruto? Do you hate me now? Do you feel the same? Please talk to me, say something ‘cuz I’m dying here.”
“Neji, I don’t know how I feel. Look I know that I like you. But I don’t know if I’m in love with you or even like you like that. Ok I know that I think I like you like that but…I don’t know. I’m really confused. Do you think that you could give me so time and space and just let me think?”
Neji practically jumped over to Naruto in his joy and grabbed him in a gentle hug.
“Naruto, my love, I will wait for you forever if that is how long it takes. But I beg you to please let us still hang out like friends until. Please. Please. Please?”
“He he he. Of course Neji. And thank you for giving me the time I need.”
“Again I will wait for you forever.”
//End Flashback//
‘But ever since then he hasn’t left my side. And it’s kind of annoying. I mean I feel flattered and in a way I really like him here beside me constantly. But I still wish that he would give me the time and space that he promised he would give me.’
“Um, Neji. I think that we need to talk.”
