Konoha University

“Jesus fucking Christ Naruto. Your dick is staying away from my ass for a long time. I feel like I fucked an open steel rod with grated edges raw.” Sasuke cursed out loudly to himself. Another pain shot up his spinal cord like a whip. Things were getting ridiculous, because it was Wednesday!! Who the hell had butt sex pain after three whole days??!!

His ass was on fire and his hole felt numb, and overstretched. Naruto had been gentle, but it still hurt. He felt like a bitch with PMS. He shook his head and groaned. Am I turning into a woman?

He was currently in the auditorium after class hours with some members of the committee. That included Sakura, Ino, Neji, and his cousin Hinata, Shikamaru, Kiba, Naruto’s bastard friend and Shino and some others.

Since seeing them all together again, they acted a bit nonchalantly and didn’t even mention about what had happened at Kiba’s party even though it had traveled around the school. Yet every time he looked over at the girls where they were hanging drapes on the stage, they were blushing and pointing inconspicuously at him and were those hand motions for sex?

OH GOD! He ran a hand over his face as he knew exactly what they were gossiping as he saw Hinata wipe the blood from her nose. It was old news that became fresh every time they saw him. Or Naruto. Whom of which, they didn’t seem to mind was gay because they still lavished him with the same affection from before. Always overemphasizing on his ripped abs, or bulging biceps. Sasuke was proud his man was muscular. Not that he lacked in that department, it was just he was a bit slimmer in build to Naruto.

His eyes twitched when Ino had run her hands adoringly over Naruto’s chest once and the idiot just stood there grinning, lapping up the attention like a well trained dog. The notebook tightened in his hand. He as an Uchiha was not jealous, he was merely…a bit possessive of things that were his was all. Nothing else. Or so Sasuke kept telling himself.

Speak of the Goddamned Sadist. He spotted a full head of blond hair in his peripheral vision before a bulky arm made its way over his shoulder to lie across his chest. A soft kiss was planted on his cheek and why was his face heating up?!

“Hey, you sexy person, you.” Sasuke’s irises recoiled from the glint emanating from Naruto’s smile.

“It seems like somebody’s cheerful today.” Sasuke wrote down the word valet that they’d need on his list.

“I’m on top of the world!”

“Yeah, and I’m still busy,” He removed Naruto’s hand from around his neck, “So will you leave me to do what I have to?”

“Hmm, is some of my dick still lodged in your ass Sasuke?” Naruto folded his arms, his left eyebrow perking up at the question as he stood facing his boyfriend. They were leveled at the same height as he stared at him.

Sasuke heard Neji cough across from them. “I don’t know, want to check?” Sasuke ignored Neji and tilted his head sarcastically. “While you’re down there, rub some salve will you?” Sasuke started to walk away from him.

“Wow, somebody ripped you a new asshole.” Naruto followed him at a slower pace.

“It was you, or did you have a sudden bout of amnesia?”

Naruto stopped to look at Sasuke, his face a little unsettling, eyebrows scrunched together. Sasuke stopped, the biting words he’d just spat coming back to him. That really stung. Naruto rubbed his chest warily.

“Um, can you two lovers go somewhere else and work out yours issues? I don’t really favor hearing about the titillating details of your sex life.” Shikamaru was looking at them and motioned to everyone else in the room with his head.

The students had stopped working and everyone was looking at them in trepidation.

“Don’t bother, it’s done already Shika.” Naruto said before tensely walking out, his steps clicking on the concrete floor.

Sasuke just stood there, feeling highly uncomfortable and not knowing what to do. Instead he just went back to his list, knowing to let Naruto cool off before he went to talk to him. Some thoughts still moved aimlessly in his mind. There was already so much tension between them.

Why did he always have the uncanny ability to fuck things up?

********

The evening sun lay low on the horizon when Sasuke breathed a sigh of relief as he exited the graduation hall. He’d removed his gown and given it to his mother and stood in a lilac shirt and dark colored jeans. The evening was a bit humid after wearing the gown whole day and he was happy to be rid of it. Finally it was over but everything was really staring him right in the face. He really couldn't avoid it anymore.

His parents had already left and gone home, his mother being a weeping mass of tears, his father as stoic as ever. It was a rarity for Itachi to be present but he was there, a small smile on his face. He remembered the look that they’d shared as he received his degree, a mutual understanding between brothers.

Now, there was one person he just couldn’t seem to find. Naruto was obviously avoiding him, which was strange because they’d had worse fights. His mind clicked when he realized when the blond might be, as he jogged to the building that hosted the gym and saw downcast eyes staring at clasped hands. The blond looked deep in thought and Sasuke could read the hints of that face anywhere.

His steps slowed as he came up to him, finally pulling to an abrupt stop by his feet. He took a moment to catch his breath before swallowing hard.

“Dobe,” Sasuke folded his shirt sleeves, “What are you doing all the way out here? I’ve been looking for you all day.” Sasuke took the stairs by two and plodded down next to him, resting his own hands on his knees.

“I’ve been busy….. thinking.” Naruto took a moment to glimpse at Sasuke, before he faced forward again, his eyes squinting at shapes in the distance; students going home.

“First I have to say I’m sorry about earlier, ‘cause I was pissed off at the other students and took it out on you. Plus, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something important.” Sasuke began.

“I already know what it is,” Naruto’s tone was sharp, withdrawn, “I don’t want you to go.”

“Naru, my father--” Sasuke started again.

Fuck your father!!” The raven was surprised at the sudden outburst from his boyfriend who’d seemed too reserved just a minute ago, “What’s going to happen to me Sasuke? To Us?!!

He had a finger pointed at his own chest, his eyes becoming too glassy for Sasuke’s tastes.

“You really expect me to stay here and accept that I’m going to be alone for God knows how long?” Something wet slid down his cheek, “That I’m not going to see you and be able to do anything about it. I won’t be able to just call you…and...just...say...Sasuke.” He drew in a shuddering breath, his body a rack of nerves.

Sasuke got up and pulled the blond to him, running his hand through the blond strands to quiet down the sobs. "Shh. Shh. Naruto, I'm right here ok? Right here." He whispered in a reddening ear.

“Hey, hey.” He reclined from the blond to slide his hands to his face and kissed his cheeks to remove the tracks of almost unseen tears.

“Don’t do that, please. You know I hate it when you cry, especially when it’s because of me, Ok?”

“Ok, but-”

“No buts. Feeling better?” Sasuke passed his thumb slowly over those whisker marks.

“Yeah, just a little.” Naruto sniffed before pulling away, to sit on the steps again, “I don’t know what came over me.”

“I know what did. There something about our hearts that beat in unison with each otherand you don’t want to let me go even if it breaks you, but you won’t have to.”

“What are you talking about?” The blond’s face was a play of confusion as the raven just stood there smirking at him.

“I want you to live with me in New York.”

Naruto's mouth was just propped open in suprise before he responded, flailing his arms about in agitation at the boy standing a step lower than him, smirking like an idiot.

"Teme!! You can't just up and pop a question like that so suddenly!!"

"Why not?"

"Because! It is not that easy for me to just drop everything and move to New York with you! I'll be leaving everyone I know behind." Naruto sighed dejectedly before slumping on the step again.

Sasuke stood there trying to read Naruto but he'd put up that wall. The night was starting to set in, the street lamps around campus flickering on expiditiously.

"You'd still have me. Isn't that that you want?"

"Of course it is."

"Then what?"

"I'm just scared for what's going to happen to us even if I go or not. I mean, New York is a pretty big place and in Konoha we always had each other, no distractions."

Sasuke shuffled from one foot to the other and stuck both his hands in his jeans and let out a breath heavily.

"By distractions I'm presuming that you mean other guys?"

Naruto rubbed his neck nervously.

"What they could try to give me will never amount to what we have. I'm sure of that wholeheartedly."

"It's not what's between us Sasuke..it's.."

"Will you just spit it out already then?"

"I JUST DON'T WANT YOU TO GET TIRED OF ME, OK!!" Naruto spat harshly, but Sasuke wasn’t sure if he was angry at him or at himself.

Sasuke blew out a puff of air. "Naruto Uzumaki, I swear that you can be such an idiot sometimes."

“Thanks for making it worse, Teme.” He moved to get up, but Sasuke sat down in his lap on purpose.

“This is what’s been bothering you right? Ever since we went to Pizza Hut? Why didn’t you just talk to me?”

“Well I didn’t really know how to break something like that into conversation without causing conflict between us.”

“You know Uzumaki, after all the shit you put me through this year, I really should be leaving you. You already know what kind of person I am. You know my faults, my weakness and my goals. One of them is something that will take me some time to fulfill but I’ll get there. So don’t you think for one second that I’m going to forget it.”

“The same one about giving your father another heir for his company? Some grandkids? This is why you’re fooling yourself for being with me, because I can never give you those things Sasuke.”

“That isn’t my longstanding goal.” The blond tightened his fingers on Sasuke’s hips, sweat cascading down his back. What the hell was the raven talking about then?

“What is?” Sasuke saw his boyfriend’s Adam’s apple bob quickly in his throat and he leaned towards him for a kiss.

“My father can go to hell with his idealistic lifestyle for me. I want to spend every waking moment of the rest of my life with you; I’d die making sure nothing changes that.”

****************

“Dad, I’m going to New York.” Naruto loomed over his father where he sat on his recliner, reading the daily paper. He could have sworn he heard something about his idiot son going off to another country on a whim, but he brushed it off. He had to have been hallucinating hearing things.

“Eh hem!” somebody who was the clear print of his appearance cleared his throat and Minato finally folded and directed his attention to his only son.

“Did you want something Naruto?”

“I just said…”

“I heard what you said, but I was wondering what inkling of your sanity you have left thinks I’m going to allow you to go.” Naruto rubbed the back of his head shakily as he looked at his father. The man could really be intimidating, when his mother was easy going and gave him a lot allowances to do what he wanted. He knew it was going to be hard, he just didn’t anticipate this much.

“Well?” Minato leaned forward towards him and gestured towards his son.

“My life needs to start somewhere dad and New York is the place.” Naruto dared not sit or shift his sight away from the steely blue eyes inspecting him. He felt he would crumble if he moved.

“Did my exceptionally intelligent son come up with the notion to live in a city he knows nothing about all on his own or did he have some help?” Minato raised his eyebrow expectantly.

“Well Sasuke did suggest something….”

“Ah…the Uchiha known as Sasuke. I knew that Fugaku’s legacy would come to bite me back in the ass sometime in my future. It’s a relief and pain to see that day has come.” Minato finally arose and went to the kitchen to refill his coffee. The dregs swirled in the cup as he emptied them in the sink, his blond son following closely behind.

“So…” Naruto hinted with bated breath, his blue orbs skimming around the room nervously.

“So…” Minato threw back, “Why do you want to go?”

“I need to be with him dad. He going away and I don’t know if I’ll ever be with him again.” Naruto looked at their table cloth and played with the tiny holes in the material as silence permeated the kitchen.

“The question you need to ask yourself Naruto is for what and why you’re doing this.” Minato had already refilled his cup and was sipping the caffeinated drink warily, as to not burn his tongue.

“I LOVE him.”

“Are you doing this out of your love for him or for yourself?”

“Both.”

Minato dragged out a wooden chair and it scraped across the floor impolitely. “Sit.”

Naruto nodded before pulling a chair out also.

“Ever since the day your mother and I first dropped you off at the kindergarten, we distinctly remember how sad you looked going in and cheerful coming out. Since that day you and Sasuke had been inseparable.” Naruto shifted uncomfortable in the chair. Where was his father going with this?

“You two always fought, then became best friends and had play dates… and I swear, the first time kushina and I saw that kiss on the cheek he gave you on the front lawn as kids, we knew Sasuke was going to be trouble, or more so,” He looked directly at his son, “He made a promise then that stayed with me,…that he was going to marry you.” Minato gave a small smile before downing the remains of his coffee that had cooled down.

Naruto swallowed hard. Is this what Sasuke had been talking about yesterday? How come he didn’t remember? His face frowned in confusion.

“You two were young,” his father answered, reading his expression, “And still are. Hell, you're just scratching 20 this year! To make such a hasty decision to run off somewhere and live with him on a whim was not something I expected of you at all. This thing that you two have is not guaranteed to last forever.”

“With all due respect dad, it’s not a thing that we have. We would do anything for the other and that’s why I want to do this, for the both of us. Sasuke would be in as much pain as I if we are to be apart for that long. I don’t think I’ll be able to live through that.”

“I just don’t want your life to be ruined chasing dreams, and ignoring what’s right in front of you.”

“My dream has already been accomplished, being with him, loving him. Nothing could complete me more.” Naruto’s hand had tightening into a fist.

“Now don’t get me wrong. I just don’t want you hurt. I know your mother will agree with me when I say this. We don’t deny what between the both of you, and we’ve both come to accept that you’re gay, but we’re still your parents. We will still worry what’s going to happen to you somewhere we’ve never been and we can’t jump on a flight every time we miss you. I just want you to make the right decision.”

“I understand that, and I know I’m making the right one.” Minato knew there was nothing else he could say that would keep his son in konoha.

“Just give your best to your mother before you leave and to Iruka. God knows he’ll miss you.”

“Thanks dad!” Naruto jumped up and dove to the other side of the table to give his father a handful.

He then proceeded towards his bedroom, literally skipping to pack his clothes. Flipping open his phone, he dialed the number he knew by heart. He heard the deep voice come on the line, “Hai, dobe. How’d it go?” Sasuke’s voice was cautious as he awaited a reply.

“See you at the airport, Teme.” Naruto said, smiling to himself.
