Chapter 6: Home

The ride home was certainly not boring, annoying most defiantly, but not boring.

Sakura sat prim and proper keeping to herself, but Naruto was wide eyes and bouncing off the walls of the limo. He kept asking questions and making idiotic statements.

“Hey, Sasuke?” Naruto asked in his grating metallic voice.

“What is it Naruto?” He responded for the hundredth time.

“You’re really rich aren’t you?” Naruto blurted out.

“What do you think Dobe?” Sasuke said.

“I think you’re a closet perv that’s going to force us to perform sexual intercourse on you or you’ll watch as Sakura and I do stuff,” He smiled like a child who had just asked his parents what sex was with out having any idea what he said.

“It was a rhetorical question. I didn’t actually want to know what you thought.” Sasuke droned out. In all honestly he was shocked and appalled. He noticed Shino had a look of disgust on his face that mirrored his internal feelings.

“Oh,” Naruto sounded a little disappointed. Sasuke almost felt bad. Then Naruto smiled, “D-does that mean you won’t make us have sex? The other guy who bought me…he,” Naruto paused looking sad and embarrassed.

“What did he do?” Came the quiet voice of the man in shades. Naruto turned and smiled thankfully. Someone cared at least.

“All kinds of stuff…until I ran away,” Naruto frowned, “I didn’t want that old man to touch me. I was scared. He made me; he made me use my mouth on him.” Sasuke and Shino were both surprised to see a tear roll down the angel’s cheek. This wasn’t right at all. Orochimaru’s creations were so lifelike and had such real responses. It was cruel to create these beings just to submit them to torture and rape. If Naruto were a person he could possibly press charges, but Sasuke knew even the human slave trade still existed. This might have been smiled upon as eliminating that illegal activity by the ignorant fools in the government.

Naruto smiled as if it was nothing and started playing with the buttons in the back. He rolled the privacy screen up then down again he poked at the driver whom he learned was called Juugo.

“Nice to meet you Juugo…So what are you doing?”

The man glanced at the android through the mirror, “I’m driving Master Sasuke and his companions to Master’s home.”

“Oh?” Naruto nodded sagely, “Maybe I could drive some time?”

“No,” Came a definite and final answer from Sasuke, “Now sit down and be quiet. You’re giving me a headache.”

Naruto turned around and sat facing Sasuke he huffed and crossed his arms puffing his cheeks out. He stayed that way for the rest of the ride home but he was quiet. Sasuke thanked god for at least that small favor.

Not soon enough for Sasuke did they finally pull into his estate. He had a lavish home inside an exclusive gated community. Juugo drove up to the steps of the mansion that Sasuke called home. He shared the palatial mansion with his older brother. They kept to themselves, but Sasuke had always looked up to Itachi. Itachi was the only one that had supported him. Genius ran in the family, but creativity and independence from the Uchiha clan was frowned upon. It was that belief that had threatened to stifle Sasuke’s dreams. It was only Itachi and Naruto (the human Naruto) that had supported him. Naruto had been what you might call his childhood sweet heart. It was a secret Itachi had helped him keep. Naruto and he started out as rivals in school. Then as Sasuke hit puberty he started to notice that he wasn’t interested in girls. He was attracted to Naruto with his sunshiny gold hair and personality to match. His brilliant blue eyes. This Naruto did look like him, but he wasn’t him. He was more childish and not as brilliant. Naruto was his rival in the classroom. They competed outdoing each other. Sasuke was more interested in technical things where as Naruto was more interested in natural sciences. They had made plans to go to the same university and then work together meshing his technical expertise with Naruto’s biological and medical knowledge.

Naruto had studied medicine at Konoha University. Sasuke took electronics and computer engineering. He and Naruto had been working on designs for robotic prosthetics. The way they worked together was intuitive. Itachi had always said they were like mirror reflections. Where Sasuke left off Naruto had picked up.

Sasuke shook his head of thoughts of the other Naruto. He really didn’t want to go there at the moment. The group stepped out of the limo and Juugo pulled away to go park in the garage. Naruto still seemed miffed at Sasuke.

They reached to apex of the stairs and there the door stood with a man of Asian descent and a horrible Bowl cut stood with a dazzling smile. He bowed to Sasuke, “You are home Master Sasuke. I am glad. How did your meeting go? Well I hope!” The man with disturbingly fuzzy eyebrows bowed before standing back up. He caught sight of Sakura and his smile widened.

“It went fine Lee. Thank you,” Sasuke walked in removing his jacket and handing it to Lee. He loosened his tie glad to be out of the noose like apparel.

“Good afternoon to you Master Auberame, and who might your companions be?”

“These two are from the Angel factory. This is Sakura, and this one is Naruto,” Sasuke answered. Then he turned, “Are you staying for dinner Shino?”

“I have to get back home Hinata has been alone with the baby all day,” Shino explained.

“Ah…of course. She will probably have gone stir crazy by now,” Sasuke smirked, “Give your wife my regards.” Shino nodded and he was lead away by Lee.

Naruto and Sakura were looking around the large entry way. It was tastefully decorated with a crystal chandler, which had caught Naruto’s attention. Sakura was admiring the art work that hung on the walls. She stopped at a painting of a woman and child resting under a tree of her namesake.

“Um, Mister Sasuke?” She asked shyly, “Who’s that?”

“Oh…that is my mother and I on the family estate.”

“She’s very beautiful,” Sakura smiled at him.

“She was,” he said sadly, “She died when I was a boy.” Sasuke frowned. He missed his mother terribly. It seemed always the people he cared most for left his life. Itachi was the only constant in his life and as much as he cared about his brother he was certain Itachi only stuck by his side because of the potential profit. Not that he thought his brother was disloyal or didn’t care, but he was just that type of independent person. It was a weird way to think of one’s brother but who had ever said he was a normal person. Sasuke cleared his throat of the lump that had formed there. Perhaps I should show you to your rooms.

“We get rooms?” Sakura asked in an awestruck voice.

“Yes, follow me I’ll show you.” He headed for the large curved staircase and began climbing. Sakura you will be on the second floor. There is an empty room there that you can redecorate…with in reason.

"Really!” She squealed excitedly. It was the most lively he had seen the feminine robot. He almost smiled, “Yes just let Lee know what you need and he will get it. Just no knocking out walls or anything like that.”

“Oh of course not!” Sakura took on a serious look. Sasuke left her in a room that looked to be some sort of guest room. It was hers now and more then she had dared dream. At the factory the androids were allowed no privacy. Why would machines need privacy after all?

Sasuke asked if she would be alright on her own. She assured him that she would.

“If you get lost, or need something just buzz for Lee,” Sasuke left her leading Naruto on to another set of stairs, “You’ll be in the room next tom mine, but first I want to take a look at your circuitry and see if I can’t get your voice fixed.”

“What’s wrong with my voice?” Naruto screeched causing his voice to give off a sound like feedback when you hold a microphone too close to a speaker. Sasuke cringed and Naruto glowered as he followed him up the stairs.

Sasuke brought Naruto to a room that was set up almost like a lab. There was a drafting table a lot of high tech looking equipment a state of the art computer and there were tools. Those made Naruto nervous.

“Sit,” Sasuke ordered. Naruto obeyed.

Sasuke looked at the male android’s jaw. “You may want to brace yourself this might trigger your pain sensors. He grabbed Naruto’s jaw firmly. He noticed it was misaligned. He jolted it and Naruto’s eyes watered but he didn’t move or make a noise. Sasuke looked for an opening near Naruto’s throat. He found an almost undetectable seam and gently pried it open. Naruto closed his eyes tightly. Sasuke saw the damaged circuitry immediately. He removed the circuit board and chucked in the trash. Naruto’s eyes opened and he glared at Sasuke he opened his mouth to speak and nothing came out except a small grinding noise.

Sasuke moved to a drawer and found packaged electronics. He removed a board like the damaged one. He came back over and grabbed his soldering kit. Slowly and carefully he installed the new circuit. He then closed up Naruto’s throat cavity.

“Go on,” Sasuke encouraged.

“Sasuke?” Naruto heard his voice ring clear. He smiled and glomped Sasuke, “Thank you!” He hung on to the man.

Sasuke pushed him off, “Come on Dobe.”

He got up and Naruto followed grumbling about bastards pretending to be nice then insulting him. Sasuke ignored him and walked two doors down, “Here’s your room. It’s right next to mine so I can keep an eye on you.” Naruto folded his arms and pouted cutely. “Come on then let’s go see your room."
