I do not own Naruto, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
The Gift
Note: *smiles slyly* Heh, heh, I really threw you guys off didn’t I? I do enjoy my little misdirections, and don’t worry, there’s a method behind my madness. Mizuki will be dealt with.... eventually. And a note about last chap; Iruka is hurt pretty badly, and can’t get up to help Naruto. It’s not that he doesn’t want to, he just can’t. So stop your belly aching. Oh, and I forgot to say last chap but thanx to everyone who liked my Iruka clone idea. It just came to me out of nowhere. *sigh* Just one more reason I wish I was a ninja....
(btw, you might have noticed all my Yondaime flashbacks. There’s a reason for them too, so don’t think they’re there just for fun. ^_^)
And speaking of: // indicates a flashback, a dream, or both.
Chapter Seven: The Gift
Mizuki climbed up the building towards Naruto’s room, the whole time running different ideas of what he could do to the fox through his head. He figured he’d have a little fun with him before finally chopping him up into pieces. Or he could tie him up and torture him for a few days before ending his pathetic life. The image of Naruto’s blood dripping from his hands made his smile broaden as he reached his destination. Looking into Naruto’s window he saw the blonde boy sleeping soundly, and Mizuki could hear his snoring even through the glass. Now he would finally get his revenge.
Sasuke looked up as he was washing his hands. He felt something strange nearby, and warily he opened the bathroom door, surveying the room. He couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary, but something still felt off. A strange chakra was emanating from somewhere close by, but he couldn’t pinpoint it’s location. His head shot to the window, and he could have sworn he saw something move quickly behind it.
He walked over to the window, and was about to open it when he heard Naruto’s voice, “Sasuke..... come back to bed.” Sasuke reluctantly took his hand from the latch and walked back to the slumbering Naruto. He was about to say something when he heard the blonde snore. Smirking at the hopeless boy Sasuke pushed back his uneasy feeling and crawled back into bed. Naruto immediately snuggled against his body as soon as he had covered himself with a blanket, and hugging him back Sasuke laid down and buried his face into Naruto’s fuzzy hair.
Mizuki was panting heavily as he clung precariously next to the window. He was sure he would have been caught, and by an Uchiha no less. The grey haired ninja was strong, but he wasn’t sure if he could take on both Sasuke and Naruto at once. Cursing under his breath Mizuki carefully lowered himself back down, and leaping to the ground he decided he might as well start looking for the scroll he was there to fetch. Taking one last glance up at Naruto’s window he smiled wickedly. It was only a matter of time before Naruto would die at his hands, and somewhat comforted by the thought Mizuki skulked away, fading into the shadows.

// Kakashi kept his gaze on the sunset in front of him even as he heard his teacher approach. Yondaime didn’t say a word as he went to sit beside Kakashi. He sat down silently, his gaze being drawn to the colorful display in front of them. Kakashi carefully looked over at Yondaime out of the corner of his eye, taking in the man’s full beauty. Yondaime looked deep in thought, his brows furrowed in consternation. His spiky blonde hair shifted slightly in the breeze, and Kakashi felt his heart constrict in his chest at the sight. His sensei truly was beautiful.
Yondaime felt Kakashi’s eyes on him, and looked to his pupil. Kakashi noticed Yondaime’s eyes were shining with unshed tears. He was about to say something when suddenly Yondaime wrapped his arms around him, drawing Kakashi to himself in a tight embrace. Kakashi didn’t know why his teacher had done something so spontaneous, but decided not to question it as he inhaled deeply of Yondaime’s scent. He loved being close to Yondaime, and though they rarely saw each other in private, it made their encounters that much sweeter. He let out a sigh as Yondaime began to stroke his hair, both of them content to enjoy the splendor before them in silence.
After the sun had long set they both just continued to sit where they were, neither wanting to leave. Kakashi’s lids began to close, then Yondaime’s voice cut through the night, jerking him back to consciousness. “I’m sorry.” Kakashi looked up into his teacher’s eyes. He had never seen Yondaime so distraught, and his sadness was rolling off him in waves. “Sorry about what?” Asked Kakashi as he snuggled closer, hoping to lift the depressing mood. Yondaime didn’t answer, and Kakashi suddenly felt himself being drawn up, and his mask was hastily pulled down as his sensei’s lips hungrily claimed his own. The passion in which Yondaime kissed him was unlike any kiss they had shared before. It was almost desperate in it’s tenacity.
Not breaking their kiss Yondaime pulled Kakashi down on top of him, and began to unclasp his student’s vest. Kakashi pulled away surprised, and looked into Yondaime’s eyes questioningly. “What are you sorry about?” Yondaime ran a hand underneath Kakashi’s tai-ate, removing the band to expose his Sharingan.
“You’re beautiful.” Kakashi’s eyes went wide at the sudden comment. “No I’m not.” Said Kakashi in a voice barely above a whisper. Yondaime gently shook his head, making his hair tumble all around him. “You’re wrong. You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen.”
“But why? There’s nothing special about me.” Yondaime gently stroked Kakashi’s face, running his fingers along the scar. “Your beauty comes from the hardships you’ve faced, making you bloom into something unnaturally breathtaking. Like a flower that grows in the shadows to produce the most amazing blossom.” Kakashi could feel his eyes swell with tears, and Yondaime smiled sadly.
A tear fell from Kakashi’s Sharingan, falling innocently onto his sensei’s face. Yondaime smiled as he brushed the wetness away, and licked the saltiness from his fingers. Kakashi ran his hand through his teacher’s hair, and he saw the intense gaze return to Yondaime’s eyes.
“You didn’t answer me before. Why are you sorry?” Yondaime inclined his head towards Kakashi’s soft palm, and he looked off in the distance, trying to find words to express what he needed to say. “I wanted to tell you that... I.... won’t be around forever, and that I’m sorry that... you love me.” Kakashi’s heart cringed at the words. “Why? You’re one of the only people I’ve ever held dear. Why won’t you let me love you?”
“Because if I did it would break your heart. I’m not meant for you Kakashi, someone else is more suited to you.” Kakashi had no idea what Yondaime was talking about. Someone else? Like who? Then the memory of the chuunin came back to him, and he looked to his teacher in shock. Did Yondaime know about that? He hadn’t told anyone about it, so what was he getting at?
Yondaime saw his student’s surprised expression, but kept his face blank. “But tonight is for us; so let’s make the most of it.” He then reached a hand up and ran it through Kakashi’s hair, knowing it drove his student wild. But Kakashi pulled away, wanting to discuss this further. “Why are you acting like this? Why are you acting like this is the last time we’ll ever see each other?” Yondaime closed his eyes, his hand falling to his side. “Because you never know when fate has in store for you. Now stop asking questions and just kiss me.” said Yondaime as he grabbed the back of Kakashi’s head, bringing him down into another smoldering kiss.
Kakashi struggled to get free, but only mumbled his weak protests as Yondaime slide his tongue into his mouth. Kakashi moaned into the kiss, and decided to forget their conversation for the moment.
Yondaime knew he had finally silenced his student’s protests, and arched himself into Kakashi, making the younger man gasp into his mouth. Still kissing Yondaime removed Kakashi’s vest as his pupil went to unzip his. Kakashi broke the kiss momentarily as he shrugged it off, and Yondaime took the chance to remove his own. Throwing the clothing aside Kakashi bent back down over his teacher, his hand slipping up under the dark fabric of his shirt to caress his skin. Yondaime moaned in pleasure, and Kakashi could see his face flush even more. Sliding his hand further Kakashi removed his sensei’s shirt, leaving him half naked beneath him.
Yondaime was so flawless, even with his many battle scares. Kakashi had quite a collection himself, but on Yondaime they just seemed to enhance his beauty. Kakashi ran his hand along the smooth skin, making it tingle with goose bumps as he worked his way to Yondaime’s nipples. Teasing one he bent down to take the other into his mouth, and Yondaime moaned even louder as he tangled his fingers in Kakashi’s silver hair. Kakashi could feel his sensei’s arousal grow, and his own ached as he released the hard nub and started to kiss his way further, stopping at the lip of Yondaime’s pants. Smiling he unzipped them with his teeth, and ran his hands along Yondaime’s sensitive sides as he pulled down the constricting fabric. Once the pants were off, the flung them aside, and marveled at his flushed teacher.
Yondaime arched his back as he felt hot breath brush over his arousal, and a whimper ushered from his lips as Kakashi’s tongue began to run over his length. Kakashi loved the sounds he wrought from his teacher, and teased his manhood even more until he knew Yondaime would be mad with lust. Yondaime tried to buck his hips into Kakashi’s waiting mouth, but he was held down by Kakashi’s strong hands. Seeing Yondaime was near his breaking point, Kakashi took him all into his mouth, bobbing his head to create a heated friction. Yondaime covered his mouth as Kakashi went faster, his gasps of ecstasy coming out muffled as he finally reached climax. Kakashi lapped up the silky liquid, and licking his lips he went back to kissing Yondaime, making sure the older man could taste himself. Panting Yondaime pulled back and licked the remnants of his seed from Kakashi’s lips, turning on his student even more.
Kakashi groaned from the painful aching of his unattended member, and Yondaime just smiled and opened his legs wide, inviting Kakashi. Smiling mischievously Kakashi abruptly grabbed Yondaime’s hips, and flipped him over onto his stomach. Yondaime was surprised at the sudden change in position, and found his student’s hands back on his hips as Kakashi raised him up to be bent over on his knees. Kakashi then parted Yondaime’s buttocks, his tongue shooting out to graze his entrance.
Yondaime had to cover his mouth to stifle the gasps, and his previously flaccid member was becoming hard again with every flick of his student’s tongue.
Kakashi prodded the tight ring, and slide his tongue inside, swirling it around to fully coat Yondaime. Yondaime wanted more, and eagerly thrust himself back onto Kakashi’s tongue, making it prob deeper. Kakashi smiled at his teacher’s reaction, and reluctantly withdrew to prepare himself.
Kakashi hastily unzipped his pants to free his fully erected member. He clasped his arousal, hissing at the feeling his own touch had caused. Grabbing Yondaime again Kakashi made him rise up in front of him, both men now upright as he pushed in the tip of his manhood in as slowly as he could. Yondaime was becoming annoyed at how slow his pupil was going, and thrust himself downward to fully sheath his pupil inside him. Kakashi gasped at the heat that surrounded him, and thrust himself upward as hard as he could into Yondaime.
Reaching around Kakashi firmly grasped Yondaime’s erection and stroked it along to his thrusts. Soon Kakashi and Yondaime’s bodies were rocking together, both panting loudly now as their passion became more heightened. With one final gasp Yondaime came hard into Kakashi’s palm, his body going rigid and then loose as he rode out his orgasm. Kakashi could feel his sensei clench tightly around him, and he couldn’t contain himself any longer as he also reached completion.
Kakashi thrust several more times into Yondaime before finally withdrawing, and both men fell to the ground exhausted. Kakashi closed his eyes, wanting to fall asleep even out in the middle of a forest. He looked over to see an content Yondaime, and he grabbed his teacher to draw him closer. Yondaime wrapped an arm over Kakashi’s chest, and the two laid in the complete darkness as the afterglow of their exertion began to slowly fade.
Kakashi looked up at the stars, wondering how his life had turned out the way it did. He loved Yondaime, but he knew the love would never be returned. He knew his teacher just pitied him, but he was willing to take whatever he could get.
Yondaime noticed the sudden change in his student, and asked through the darkness, “What’s wrong Kakashi?” Kakashi shook his head. “Nothing. Just.... thinking is all.” Yondaime knew there was more to it, but decided not to delve further. He had an idea what the problem was anyway. “It’s okay Kakashi. Someday you’ll finally find someone that will love you, and then I’ll be of some help to you in the end.” Kakashi started at the cryptic words, but didn’t want to break the mood by asking questions. He just nodded, and yawned as sleep overtook him. Yondaime waited until he was sure Kakashi was asleep, and silently dressed. Before leaving he bent down over his favorite student, and kissed him tenderly on his forehead. Reluctantly he stood, and walked away slowly as the crickets started to thrum in the night.//
Kakashi jerked awake. It was yet ANOTHER dream about the past. And it was just before Yondaime had fought the demon fox. If Kakashi would have known Yondaime would have been killed, he would have said so much more, he would have told Yondaime that he loved him... but his sensei already knew that, and it hadn’t changed anything.
It was pointless thinking of such things now, and frowning Kakashi stepped out of bed. But as soon as he did so something sparked in his mind. Something felt very wrong, but he couldn’t place what it was. Then suddenly a knock sounded at his door, and putting on his mask he answered. He was met by a shy looking chuunin he had never seen, and he twitched under the jounin’s gaze.
“E-excuse me Kakashi-sensei, but Tsunade-sama told me to tell you that she requires your presence as soon as possible. S-she said she has something important to tell you.” Kakashi had already seen Tsunade yesterday, what could she possibly want now?
The jounin was deep in thought, and the young chuunin shifted uncomfortably. Kakashi was snapped from his thoughts when he realized the man was still there, and thanked him quickly. He gratefully bowed before walking hastily away.
Quickly showering and dressing Kakashi made his way to Tsunade’s office, only to be stopped by Asuma. “Have you heard?” said the bearded man in a low voice.
“About what?” Asked Kakashi nervously. “Iruka hasn’t come in to work yet. He should have been here two hours ago, but no one’s seen him since last night.” Kakashi felt a wave of dread pass over his soul. Something was wrong with Iruka. Darting past Asuma Kakashi ran towards Iruka’s apartment, praying the whole time that the chuunin was alright.

(Earlier that day)
Tsunade rummaged through the village archives, filing scrolls and taking out ones she needed for reference. She reached for a scroll far up, and had to go on the tips of her toes to reach it. She finally did, but the large jutsu came crashing down on top of her in a cloud of dust. Coughing she cursed under breath, and when the dust cleared she stood and picked up the fallen parchment. She turned to leave when she heard something fall behind her, and looked to see a small yellow piece of paper lying on the ground. Curious she picked it up, and carefully unrolled it to see what it was.
Her eyes went wide in shock as she read the message written on the paper. It appeared to be from the fourth Hokage to Kakashi, and she scanned over the letter entranced.
Dear Kakashi,
I’m sorry for what I put you through, and that I was not able to truly love you like you deserved. But I’m hoping this will make up partly for that, and that you can find some use for this later on. It’s an ancient jutsu that I discovered a long time ago, and I thought it might be useful to you later. By this time I’m most likely dead, and I apologize for that too. You were my best student, and one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever come across. Goodbye.
- Yondaime
Tsunade read over the letter again to make sure she hadn’t read it wrong. Kakashi was involved with Yondaime? What a scandalous thing to find out, but under the intimate circumstances under which it was written, she felt she should give this to Kakashi immediately. Rolling it back up she tucked it safely into a pocket, and walked out of the archives while calling for someone to deliver a message.
A/N: Sorry this chap sucked, and that it took forever for me to write. This was the hardest chap so far, and it took a lot out of me. Hopefully the next one won’t be so bad, so look forward to that. I might change this later if I get the chance. Thanx again, please review. Bye!

Bye!
