After the Rain



Chapter 7, Dreaming of You



"I am so happy to be on land again! Believe it!" Naruto announced. He was so glad to be on land again, away from the water.

They hadn't been sailing long, but that didn't matter. As always, Naruto was the complainer and there was no exception

made today, even though finding Sasuke was his idea.



"I think we should find a place to stay for the night, Neiji," TenTen suggested. "That way we can start fresh in the

morning and look for clues to see if he is actually here."



"I believe you are right, TenTen," Neiji agreed.



"I'm not ready to go to bed yet, believe it!" Naruto exclaimed. "I want to start searching for Sasuke now. If I can

at least gather some clues now, then we should have a really good head start for in the morning." Naruto's suggestion was

starting to sound better and better.



Neiji thought of this as a good idea to spend some alone time with TenTen. "Naruto," Neiji demanded, "You better be back

here in an hour. Not at second sooner or a second later. Meet us back in this spot."



"I will, Neiji," Naruto said, taking off to walk around the town. The city was pretty brightly lit, considering how dark it

was outside. He was in search of his Sasuke and he was determined to at least an inkling or some type of clue.



*With Sasuke*



Wandering through the streets, Sasuke caught a glimpse of a certain blond clad in orange from his past. He saw him from

afar in a crowd of people, but no mistaking it, he was Naruto Uzumaki. His heart raced as he thought of how to approach him.

He followed far behind Naruto, but knew he was following his nose to the nearest Ramen shop. He could tell Naruto was

hungry. He could hear his stomach growling, that meant he was headed to find some ramen. He would follow Naruto and think

of a way to talk to him when he knew it was the right time.



He saw Naruto head into the nearest ramen shop. He waited until Naruto got sat down and had some ramen served to him. He

went and sat at one of the back tables, keeping an eye on Naruto the whole time. Naruto was sitting at the bar and didn't

notice a thing, as he was eating his ramen.



"May I interest you in something to drink tonight, sir?" The waitress asked kindly, smiling at Sasuke.



"You see that man up there with the blonde hair, wearing the orange jacket, tell him I'm paying for his meal tonight."



"Oh, will do sir!" the waitress smiled at him. "Oh, was there anything I can get for you?"



"No thanks," Sasuke hissed out. He was more intent on watching Naruto. His heart continued to skip beats everytime he

glanced at him. What would he say to Naruto after so long. He didn't wish to make it awkward for either of them. Also,

he did not want to cause a big scene in this tiny ramen shop. He was just happy watching Naruto quickly eat his ramen.



The waitress walked up to Naruto, "Um, excuse me sir, that man over there said your meal was on him tonight."



Naruto took a quick glimpse over to where the waitress was pointing and looked back at his bowl of ramen. Sasuke's heart

almost beat out of his chest. Naruto quickly did a double-take and realized who it was. His mouth was open and all the

ramen slid out onto the floor.



'Is that Sasuke Uchiha?' Naruto asked himself. There was no doubt about it. That dark-haired boy was Sasuke Uchiha. The

only thing that Naruto could do was smile. He saw Sasuke get up and walk toward him.



'Okay, Sasuke Uchiha, what are you thinking?' he thought to himself as he was walking toward Naruto. Sitting in the chair

next to him, he smiled at him. "Naruto," he softly spoke. He grabbed him up and hugged him.



Naruto returned the embrace, "Sasuke. I have found you at last!" A smile formed on Naruto's lips. A smile that hadn't been

seen in years.



Sasuke grabbed Naruto's hand and they ran out of the ramen shop. They kept running until they reached a park.



"Sasuke," Naruto said, somewhat out of breath, "Why did we just run out on the ramen?"



Sasuke put a finger to Naruto's mouth, as if to hush him. "Don't say a word. I just want to apologize for everything that

I have done to you, Naruto. When I first got plagued with that curse mark, I couldn't control it, but now, I can. I am so

scared to go back to the Leaf Village. I can't until I kill Orochimaru." Sasuke kissed Naruto's lips like he had never done

so before.



Naruto looked deeply into his eyes and dove back into the kiss even more furiously than Sasuke had started it. He wrapped his

arms around Sasuke and just let the passion fuel over them.



"Naruto," Sasuke smiled. "I am so glad to have you back with me."



"I want you Sasuke. Let me make love to you the way I never got to," Naruto whispered in his ear, breathing on Sasuke's neck.

He pulled Sasuke's shirt off.



"Mm, Naruto, please," Sasuke moaned out. Sasuke captured Naruto's lips once again, pouncing on him.



"Umm, Naruto! NARUTO! NARUTO UZUMAKI!" Neiji shouted. "Wake up!"



Naruto shot up, "Where's Sasuke?!"



"You were just moaning his name loudly!" TenTen laughed.



"I did what?" Naruto yelled.



"Were almost to the land of waves, you just dozed off," Neiji explained. "Please don't ever do that again! I don't want

to hear anything sexual going on with you and Sasuke." Neiji's eye was twitching. "Please, Naruto keep your dreams to

yourself."



"Okay, Okay!" Naruto sighed. "I dreamed that I saw Sasuke in a ramen shop in the Land of Waves."



"What would Sasuke be doing in a ramen shop?" TenTen asked.



"It was my dream after all, he would love to be in a ramen shop with me!" Naruto told them all. "I just hope that I find him."



"We will find him, Naruto," TenTen assured him.
