The Tears

I don’t own Naruto nor do I profit from my fics.

Don’t worry everyone, I won’t leave you hanging. There is going to be some sort of spin off with Kakashi and Anko from this story I just don’t’ know what yet. Also, this won’t be the last chapter.

Anko began to stir and stretch under the covers. She was completely naked underneath the blankets and she liked it that way. She glanced over at the clock only to notice that Kakashi was awake. 7: 45. Anko groaned.

“Oooh, what the fuck am I doing awake at 7:45…who the fuck gets up at 7:45.” Anko whined. Kakashi laughed at her and rolled over towards her. She moved into him as closely as she could, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. “Mmm…you’re warm…hey why are you wearing pants? You don’t wear pants to bed.” She asked.

“I had to get up earlier and I knew it would be cold downstairs.” Kakashi answered her, running his hand up and down her bare back.

“Why did you get up?” Anko wanted to know.

“Oh, I had to take Pakkun downstairs, he was starting to stir and scratch at the door.” It sounded like a legitimate excuse.

“Oh okay.” She answered kissing his neck. She rested her head on his collarbone and wanted to put herself back to sleep…it was too early for her. Of course there was only one thing that would put Anko back to sleep and it was something completely different that would put Kakashi back to sleep this morning.

“You know, we have some of our best sex in the morning.” Anko said wrapping her body completely around Kakashi. He shoved her underneath him and interlaced his fingers with hers, pulling her arms above her head. He kissed her very deliberately.

“We do don’t we…” Kakashi said. Anko could feel herself completely pinned underneath his strong body. He had his hips lined up with hers and his legs beginning to wrap around her knees. He looked at her, she still looked sleepy, but most importantly, she looked content and happy…she looked like she had found peace. Kakashi still had his eyes fixed on hers. He had made the decision…

“Anko, listen to me, baby.” Anko immediately thought she was going to be in a hot Come Come Paradise role play….god how she loved those…she didn’t say anything, she just watched Kakashi with sleepy black eyes. “I love you, I can’t imagine my life without you in it and I know this is going to sound insane to you, but I need to know, today, this morning right now.” Kakashi paused, he felt his mouth going bone dry and he could feel his fingers tightening around hers. “Anko…Anko…” Kakashi opened his mouth but nothing came out. He tried again. “I…Anko…do you…I mean…Anko marry me.” There he said it, it was over, it had come out. However, Anko’s pupils had dilated to the size of pin heads. She didn’t look sleepy now. The room was filled with the most deafening silence that had ever been heard. Kakashi had never been this frightened in his entire life.

He watched her and she watched him. Anko’s mouth had fallen slightly open and then came the tears. Kakashi watched in horror as tears began to stream down her face, but she had made no effort to free herself from his grasp. “Anko…” Kakashi whispered fearing that he too may cry this morning away with her.

“Why are you doing this?” she asked through her crying. “Why? Why are you….making me feel so special?” She began to cry harder, her knuckles were turning white from squeezing Kakashi’s hands so hard. She wasn’t certain what triggered the tears, all she knew is that a thousand daggers of pain has just torn through her body, unexplainable pain…unbearable pain. Kakashi had broken out into a cold sweat.

“Because you are special. You’re…the most special person there ever was.” Anko could feel Kakashi’s tears fall onto her chin. He hadn’t cried in years, mainly because he had never loved anyone in years.

“No, I’m not…” Anko whispered still weeping. “I’m not special…Kakashi…I’m damaged goods…damaged from the inside out.” Kakashi gazed into her now bloodshot black eyes. Anko could see the tear streaks down his face. This was why she was crying, she still felt damaged, and she felt that no one truly wanted the pieces of a broken girl. She felt no one would want the burden of gluing all those little pieces back together.

“No you’re not, baby. You’re anything but damaged. You’re repaired, baby. No one is ever going to break you any further, because I’m going to keep you safe, Anko. I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to prove that to you’re worthy of love, that you’re worthy of…of anything you want.” Was this the end? Had this been the biggest mistake of Kakashi’s life? Anko was still crying and she hadn’t said anything. Kakashi could do nothing now but hold her, cling to her and hope to god that he didn’t lose her forever. Anko felt the tearing pain in her heart fade away, it was what he had said that softened her slightly: “I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to prove that to you’re worthy of love…” No one had made a commitment to Anko for 20 minutes let alone the rest of her life. He really did want the pieces of the broken girl, he really did want to put those pieces back in place…he really did love her…he was willing to spend the rest of his life softening her…

“Kakashi…I believe the things you tell me, because you are the only man I’ve ever trusted. And although I don’t understand why you treat me the way you do…I won’t question it.” Her tears had completely soaked her face. “Kakashi…I love you…I love you…and I’ll marry you.” Kakashi couldn’t’ believe what he was hearing. Through his tears he had to ask her again just to be certain.

“What did you say, baby?” he asked her releasing her hands and scooping her up in his arms. Anko smiled through her subsiding tears.

“I said I would marry you.” She told him. She wiped the streaks from his face. The kiss they shared was quite possibly the most desperate kiss they had ever shared with each other. In all honestly Kakashi hadn’t expected her to say yes, he hadn’t expected her to answer at all. He had already planned for the worse slightly detaching himself from any emotion he thought he would feel. Well, he got the unexpected answer, and so all the emotions he had tried to fight off could now flood him. Kakashi finally freed Anko’s lips. Each of them had dried the other’s tears. He kissed her again; it was the warmest embrace you could imagine. For all they cared they could stay in this bed the rest of the day and hold on to one another as if tomorrow’s dawn would never come. Anko did something else unexpected that morning…she made love to her fiancée. This time, she felt like it was something she could do. The white flag could be seen: Anko had surrendered. She could fuck a hundred times and it may be amazing and it may be the only thing she knew, but making love meant something…and both Anko and Kakashi deserved something meaningful, this is why they found each other.
