A Stray Child

Chapter Eight


Naruto woke up with a groan and rubbed his eyes before getting out of the comfortable bed. He had a hard time trying to get back to sleep after he woke up to the fearless Sasuke Uchiha screaming for dear life. Naruto didn’t tell him at the time either that it sounded like he was close to sobbing after he realized the blonde woke him up.
‘I don’t get it. Sasuke always seemed so strong so why would he have nightmares anyway?’ Naruto thought.
‘He’s only human.’ Kyubbi said to him. ‘I bet he cries and all the usual things as well. You think just because he’s strong and a Uchiha that he should be emotionally dead.’
‘I do not! It’s just he never showed much emotion before.’ Naruto argued.
‘He’s not all that he appears to be. Protect for he is very special and one of a kind.’ She said.
‘What the hell does that mean?’ Naruto asked.
‘I’m just saying he’s different than any other male…and I’m including physically.’
Naruto’s eyebrows furrowed. ‘What are you talking about?’
‘You’ll find out soon enough.’ With that Kyubbi withdrew to the farthest reach of her home.
Naruto frowned and got some cloths and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

Meanwhile Tsunade had her nose in a old Uchiha family document and her eyes were large as she read about Sasuke.
‘Why didn’t the 3rd Hokage tell me about this?’ She thought and flipped through the pages.
‘I don’t think he even knew. I need to go see Sasuke right away. Itachi was right, Fuguku isn’t his father.’ She thought and made copies of the information using a special jutsu. She quickly went to her office and had Sasuke summoned to her office. Once the messenger took off she sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.
‘The Uchiha clan gets weirder and weirder every time I read something about their history.’ She thought and waited.

Sasuke woke up with a headache and sighed as he stood up. He heard the blonde bouncing around or whatever he was doing in the small living room so he went to take a shower. He reeked of sweat and felt dirty.
Naruto waved as he headed to the bathroom with a fresh pair of cloths and Sasuke nodded the he acknowledging the blonde. Which was strange since the Uchiha usually ignored him.

‘You know he’s actually pretty damn hot.’ Kyubbi said coming back out again.
‘You pervert!’ Naruto thought shaking his head.
‘Don’t deny it. I see all your dirty dreams.’ The fox teased and Naruto blushed.
‘I can’t help what I fucking dream!’ He mentally shouted at the laughing Kyubbi and the fox finally backed off for real.
Naruto jumped when there was a knock at his front door and raced to it.

“Is Sasuke Uchiha in?” The male messenger asked.
“Yes, but he’s in the shower right now.” Naruto said.
“Tell him the Hokage wants to talk to him, she said it’s really important.” He said and left, leaving Naruto looking annoyed.
“I’m not his damn answering service.” He mumbled. “And why didn’t she just call on the phone?”
With that thought he called Kakashi and told him what was going on and then Sakura. The whole team was going to go with Sasuke, whether he liked it or not. With a evil chuckle Naruto heart the bathroom door open and the Uchiha walked out, his hair wet.

“Hey a messenger came by and told me that the Hokage wants to see you.” Naruto said. “Of course with Kakashi, Sakura and myself.” He added and he heard Sasuke sigh.
“Alright.” Sasuke said and a moment later they were on their way.

In the forest outside the Leaf Village Itachi came to a halt and smiled.
‘I think it’ll be better if I just wait until it becomes dark.’ He thought and sat on a large branch in the tallest tree near the little town.
