Seven Nation Army

Yah, that was cheesy. But trust me; this is the way the story was kinda heading before. Steering back to the action now, so don’t worry.
Uuuum, man sex? I’m terribly inexperienced on that front, but we’ll see.

.:White Stripes:.
-Seven Nation Army-
----------------------&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&-------
‘I’m gonna fight ‘em off…
A seven nation army couldn’t hold me back

‘And I’m bleeding, and I’m bleeding, and I’m bleeding
Right before my lord.’

‘And the stains coming from my blood tell me go back home.’
--------------------------Let’s start, shall we?----------------

Click.
RAT-A-TAT-A-TAT-A-TAT!

The effect was instantaneous. Everyone was down on the floor, the DJ even cut and run. Only after he slipped some CDs under his baggy hoodie, of course.

I blinked. Well, then.

Naruto looked at me.

“If we had wanted to kill you, you know I would have had a bullet in your skull already.”

His right arm man, (Kiba I think?) came up beside him. “But how? I have your-“

I held up my gun, which I had swiped off him when he wasn’t looking.
“That’s not the point right now. The point is-“

A gunshot whizzing right past me cut me off.

Now really wasn’t the time to talk.

We all dove for the bar, rolling behind the counter and staying as low as possible.

Kiba looked at me, well I think he did, my eyes were closed as a Smirnoff bottle exploded in front of me.

“Why are you still here?”

That was a very good question. Why was I still here? This wasn’t my fight. This wasn’t my club.

The guy next to me wasn’t my boss.

There was absolutely no reason to be here. Besides, I’m pretty sure my face is bleeding from all the glass shards flying around.

At least the alcohol will clean it out.

I slid another magazine into my gun.

“Code of honor. These aren’t my guys, and if it is a whole other group, then they’ll probably come after us too. So for now…”

“Truce?” This was Naruto, I could barely hear him over the gunshots though.

“It’s not my call; I’m not authorized but…Truce. Now these guys are amateurs, with a lot of firepower.”

“The most dangerous kind.”

“Yea-“ The gunshots stopped.

I blinked.

“Hey… is it okay if I take this one?”

Kiba glanced at me sideways, then nodded.

I slid over the counter. Glass crunched beneath my feet as I walked out.

This was going to be fun.

------------------------Naru-chan… ramen love-------------------------

I peeked over the counter. Neji was standing there, gun pointed skyward, and, without looking, he shot out the nearest light.

“To the last syllable of recorded time, all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dust death.”

The light above Neji, in an obvious effort to save its own life, sputtered then went dark right as Neji raised his gun. His tipped his head to the side, and I’m pretty sure he was smirking.

“Out, out brief candle…” Glass rained to floor as another light was shot out. “Life’s but a walking shadow.”

Kiba glanced at me, then mouthed ‘psycho’. I rolled my eyes.

Really, now. I personally think that was unnecessary.

In our business, no one is perfectly sane.

“A poor player.” One more light. I think the guys shot out all the rest, because the floor’s completely dark now, except for the softly glowing lights at the bar.

“Who struts and frets his hour upon the stage…” Five gunshots, one after the other. His voice still carries loudly.

“Then is heard no more.” The last gunshot doesn’t kill whoever he’s aiming at, I can hear the man’s pained scream loudly and clearly.

“It is a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing…” Neji’s voice trailed off, even though I’m sure that was for effect. Drama queens, the lot of them.

It’s one thing to kill people, another to do that while quoting Shakespeare. I see appreciation for the fine arts here, along with a merciless attitude.

And it was just that badass.

Oh yea, Neji Hyuuga is my kind of gal.

-----------------------Kiba time! Woof woof!----------------

I’m not too sure how the sound of someone being dragged across a floor would sound, y’know in sound effects, but that’s what I was hearing right now as the Crazy Girly Bastard (C.G.B. for short) brought us back a little present.

Thunk.

Ok, that was the sound of combat boots (not the C.G.B.’s) hitting the floor.

“Hey.”

I did not jump. I did not jump. I did not- aw, screw it.

I turned; there, on the floor, lay a man, his face contorted with pain. He was quite pretty, but right now that was the least of his worries. He was clutching his… y’know… package… and I could see crimson liquid seeping out, staining his fingers. I sucked in my breath quickly; that must have really hurt. That gives the C.G.B. one more in my book.

Let the interrogation begin.

After some not-so-gentle prodding, he finally spilled his guts. And as my bullet carved through his forehead, I rolled the name around on my tongue, the people he had been working for.

Akatsuki.

---------------------------------------------
Well that took a long time. Sorry, just put in the last few lines today. Aaargh, short chapter, I’m almost out of the drive to write this…
REVIEW PLEASE!! Helps my motivation.
