YOSH!!! The next chapter! Woot! Wow I’ve already wrote 9 chapters?! @.@ I Hope that this story isn’t getting boring…. Thanks for the reviews!!! Ok on to the chapter!!!

“Lee-kunnnnnn!!!”

Lee mentally moaned in distain as the pink haired nin wrapped her arms around his waist and snuggled into the back of his neck. Lee halted his work on the multi colored festival lights.

“Yes Sakura-chan?” He wormed out of her embrace to turn and look at her, hiding the displeasure that was bubbling just below the surface. She had seen him with Gaara so why hadn’t she backed off?

“I brought you scarf because it’s so cold!” As she said ‘cold’ she wrapped the obnoxious pink fuzzy scarf tightly around his neck and tugged lightly on the end, giggling when he stumbled forward a bit.

“Th..thank you….” Lee loosened the scarf slightly forcing a smile but he wanted to take off the gaudy thing so bad it made his fingers twitch.

“Oh Lee-kun you’re doing such a beautiful job!” Sakura said over grossing each word in sugary awe.

“Thanks..” Lee stood back slightly to admire his work so far… she was right they were coming along quite nicely. The multi colored lights consisted of purple, blue and yellow they were small light bulbs strung on a thin black wire but in the dimness of dusk one could only see the lights. The lighted wire spread around the whole area in which the festival was to be held, weaved masterfully through the thin branches of the surrounding forests. It had taken Lee quite some time to get so much completed so hearing some praise was welcome. The other decorations were coming along quite splendidly as well; they only had been working for 2 days so with how much they had up so far it was quite an accomplishment.

They had several of the booths setup for carnival like games and the dance stage was still being constructed but so far it was coming along with good progression. Kakashi was scolding Naruto in his choice on such ugly hanging ribbons…a bright orange and dark blue. But of course the fox demon only laughed dumbly and continued to hang up the abominations while sticking his tongue out at the older white haired nin.

“Oy Gaara!!!” Naruto cheered enthusiastically, unfortunately in his moment of uncontainable excitement at seeing the Kazekage he fell off his high ladder.

“Naruto-kun!” Lee ran over to the blond nin seeing if he required medical attention.

“I’m fine fuzzy eyebrows!” Naruto shooed the green nin from fussing at seeing the murderous look of jealousy in the Kazekage’s eyes when seeing Lee’s concern for him.

“It looks good.” Gaara said after pointedly standing next to Lee taking note of the decorations.

“Thank you Gaara!” Lee looked up at the redhead and smiled goofily.

“What’s that around your neck?” Gaara already knew the answer to such a grossly obvious question but decided to ask any way.

“It was a present from me of course!” Sakura grabbed Lee’s arm and looked at the fuzzy monstrosity. “I made it just for him!”

Gaara said nothing but reached out and unwrapped the ‘present’ from Lee’s neck and started to walk away.

“Gaara…wha..stop!” Lee looked mortified as the redhead dropped the scarf in the bonfire that was keeping the outside decorating bearable.

He then turned back to the three stunned nins and walked back to stand beside Lee giving the pink haired medical nin a icy stare.

“Gaara!! You can’t do that!” Lee turned on his lover angrily at such a heartless display; Sakura had worked hard on the present.

“I just did.” He continued to stare at Sakura until she mumbled something about cake and left in a hurry.

“He he he!! That was great!” Naruto laughed slapping Gaara on the back as he did so. “Serves her right for flirting with your boyfriend!” He looked up to see Sasuke coming their way. “Speaking of which!” The blond then took off toward the gloomy teen wrapping him in a big hug and planting a wet smooch on the Uchiha’s lips.

“I don’t care what Naruto says that was wrong regardless.” Lee turned back to his decorations in a huff.

Gaara merely shrugged slightly and watched Lee do his work with immense fascination, noting the way his lithe body moved and stretched when he weaved the lighted wire through the low ice covered branches.

“Gaara could you hand me that second string of lights?” Lee said keeping his eyes locked in immense concentration on his art.

Gaara looked to the side and found the pile of lights in a heap beside him a few feet away. Brushing away a few snow chunks that had been kicked on the wire in the decorating havoc he picked it up. He leaned in to Lee’s back placing his mouth just beside his ear.

“Here.” He mentally smirked when he noted how the green nin shivered at such a slight touch. He handed Lee the festive lights to him slowly before pulling back to admire Lee’s back side a bit more.

“YOSH LEE THE DECORATING OF YOUTH HAS EXPLODED!!!!!” Gai cheered obnoxiously as he charged over to the two teens.

Gaara suppressed a growl at the ugly change in once peaceful scenery.

“GAI SENSEI!!!” Lee whirled around and was about to give his teacher a hug but stopped when he felt Gaara’s glower.

“Lee it looks beautiful!!!! Such is expected of my most beloved student!!!” Gai did the ‘Nice Guy Pose’ as he clasped Lee on the shoulder energetically.

Gaara was about to sic his sand on the older nin but he remembered what had happened last time so he settled for visualizing all the wonderfully horrible things he wished he could do to Lee’s teacher.

“Thank you Gai sensei!” Lee intern did the infamous pose but halted again immediately noticing how angry Gaara was becoming so he quickly stood next to the Kazekage and grabbed his hand, lacing his warm fingers with Gaara’s slightly cooler ones.

Gai looked at the two quizzically and at how Lee had just grabbed Gaara’s hand in his own…. almost as if they were….

“Gai sensei!!!” Ten ten ran over to the three. “Lets have a snowball fight!!!”

Lee silently thanked his team mate for distracting Gai…he wasn’t quite ready for him to know about he and Gaara yet.

“YOSH!!!!” Gai stooped down and gathered a massive handful of the white stuff and threw it at Neji.

“OW!” Neji turned to face his teacher angrily. “What has gotten into you-“He picked the wrong time to face his teacher when the bigger green nin had been ‘youthfully’ inspired…the snowball struck home.

Before long snowballs were flying like bullets through the once calm winter air. Even the Fifth had joined in but after knocking out a few people with her monstrous strength she stopped ubruptly.

“HA HA YOUTH EXCEEDS!” Lee cheered as his snowball struck Ten ten in the side of the head… revenge from the other day.

“Oh it’s on now Lee….” Ten ten turned toward her teammate with an evil glint in her brown eyes. “You forget who you’re messing with…your ass is grass….” Lee had barley enough time to duck behind a tree before hundreds of perfectly aimed snowballs stuck the trunk.

He had forgotten that Ten ten was the master of perfect aim….

Lee looked up in frantic desperation trying to find an escape and to his surprise found Gaara leaning calmly against a branch looking down at him with amusement.

“Gaara help before she-“ *TWACK*

“THERE YOU ARE YOU SORRY EXCUSE FOR A….huh?” Ten ten looked around confused on where her teammate had disappeared to she had sworn she had got him…


“Wha..??” Lee looked around he had been on the ground a second ago but now he was suspended in mid air up in the tree’s branches.

“She was going to kill you…”

Lee inclined his head to the right and there still leaning back, legs crossed and firm expression on his face was his lover.

“Oh thank god!” Lee smiled at Gaara realizing the Kazekage had saved him just in the nick of time.

The sand pulled him toward the redhead by his waist, guiding him to the snow covered branch Gaara was sitting on. Once set down the sand didn’t release him but pull him to the Kazekage’s form.

“It’s safer up here.” Gaara placed a hand on Lee’s cheek guiding him into a chaste kiss.

Lee was surprised at Gaara’s actions but soon melted into the kiss and complied when Gaara slid his tongue over his bottom lip asking for permission to deepen the kiss.

“Found you….” Ten ten growled ignoring the intimate moment the two had been sharing by nailing Lee in the face with a snow ball laughing hysterically when he fell out of the tree.

Later that night

When are you heading back?” The Fifth asked raising her eyes to meet the teal one’s of the Kazekage’s. She had called him into her office to go over a few more treaties and trading ideas when the thought had struck her on how long he was planning on staying in Konoha.

Gaara frowned at the question realizing he hadn’t really thought about it. He winced as he remembered just who he was and what was expected of him from his people. After a long pause he nodded as a plan started to form in his mind making him smile mentally.

“After the festival.”
