I'm sorry about the time it took to update. As always, please read and review! I need some feedback from all of you readers out there!

Chapter 9, The Day of the Search
The next day, before the sun was up, Naruto was already awake and stirring. He was ready to start his journey to find Sasuke. He longed for Sasuke. He missed Sasuke. He longed to feel the warmth of Sasuke's skin while holding him in his arms. It was the most loving thing that he could do right now. He loves Sasuke with all of his heart. There was nothing that he wouldn't do for Sasuke. He just wished that he could know how Sasuke still felt about him. He wondered if Sasuke's heart
was still in that relationship at all.
TenTen was next to wake up. She looked over at Naruto, who was already awake and sitting in a chair tapping his foot, nervously. "Naruto," she asked softly, "Are you worried?"
Naruto sighed, then looked at her, "I'm scared. I'm scared with every fiber that is within me that Sasuke doesn't love me the same way that I love him. I am so worried that he doesn't even feel the same way about me anymore. I am afraid that he might kill me this time. Last time, he couldn't do it. You know, that's how you unlock the true power of the Sharingan, the Mangekyo Sharingan. You have to kill your best friend. That's why we fought. He wanted to kill me, but then realized that he couldn't do it. He couldn't kill me because he loved me. I am just afraid that being with Orochimaru for so long, he would have forgotten who he was and everything about what he was. He was my everything. Then, he just became different. After becoming infected with that curse mark, he wasn't the same. He was cold to me, he wouldn't talk to me the same way he used to. He just kept blowing me off and took all my advances of just caring for him and trashed them. Soon after that, he ran away and I followed him, to bring him back. I wanted us to be together. My greatest dream is to become the greatest Hokage, but without him I couldn't do it. For the past three years I have been training so that I may become strong enough to kill Orochimaru. I want to punish him for everything he has done to Sasuke."
TenTen looked at him in disbelief, "I didn't know all of that Naruto." She got a small tear in her eye. She walked over and just threw her arms around him. "If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, if you ever need someone to talk to, I am here. I am your friend and don't forget that. Even if everyone else turns their backs, I will still be there for you."
Naruto hugged her back, "Thanks, TenTen." He smiles brightly at her. "Believe it!"
She smiled back at Naruto, releasing him from the hug. "I am glad I came along. I am glad I could help you."
"I appreciate this alot, TenTen." Naruto stood up, "You know, I feel that Sasuke is here right now and he's looking for me, whether he's seeking me out to kill me or to love me, that I will have to discover on my own. I care about him too much to see anything happen to him at all. I couldn't possibly just stand around knowing that someone has hurt Sasuke. It may have taken me three years, but I vow that I will kill Orochimaru and take Sasuke back with me, even if it is not for us to be together. I cannot break my promise to Sakura! Even if I cannot be happy, I will not break her heart."
"Naruto, could you please hush, I am trying to sleep," Neiji commented, rolling over and pulling a blanket over his head.
Naruto stuck his tongue out at Neiji, "The sun is up. It's time for you to get up."
Neiji ignored him and just kept laying there. Naruto figured it would be okay to give him five more minutes. He just wanted to start looking for Sasuke. He was prepared to go by himself if he had to.
"Naruto," TenTen told him, "You don't have to thank me. This is what friends do."
He smiled at her and gave her thumbs up sign.
Neiji threw the covers off of himself quickly and sat up from his little pallet on the floor. He stretched, yawned and then stood up. "So, who's ready to get some breakfast?"
Naruto raised his hand, "The faster we get that done, the quicker we can go look for Sasuke."
"I think we should go just get some quick food from a vendor in the market. That way we can avoid any type of restuarant and any type of trap," TenTen explained.
"I just wanna find Sasuke. I don't care how long it takes me to find him. I will do it. Believe it!" Naruto told them.
*With Sasuke*
He woke up in pain. His ass hurt almost as bad as the hurt in his heart. Never once had sex with Orochimaru been consensual. It always involved some kind of bondage and rape. He hated it. He wished he would have declined that mission from the Hokage. This mission involved too many heartbreaks. Everyday he died a little more inside. There was nothing that he could do to stop him. He tried, but Orochimaru overpowered him every time. He hurt deeply and longed for Naruto. He knew that Naruto would come and rescue him, just like those fairy tales. He would be his knight in shining armor. He would rescue him from his oppresor and then sweep him off his feet and take him to his palace and there they would happily ever after. That's the future he longed for with Naruto, but he saw nothing but pain in their future, as long as Orochimaru was alive.
He quickly stood, trying to avoid sitting, as that would hurt greatly. He wanted to avoid as much pain as possible. He put on the pair of jeans he had bought the day before, along with the shirt. He was determined to get some money now. He had to find some kind of work. Something that he was suited for. He was thinking about all the types of work that he could get into without involving any kind of fighting. He never wished to fight again. That was very odd, coming from an Uchiha, but he could not let it happen. He did wish to pass on his genes, however that would mean that a woman would have to carry his child. As for sleeping with a woman, he couldn't. That would be the grossest thing that he'd ever done. No part of that sentence excited him at all. He shook all those thoughts from his head.
He quickly put on his socks and then, his shoes. He got ready to face the world. His hair was different than it had been in the past. His bangs were combed over to one side, covering one of his eyes. His hair was much shorter in the back than it had been in the past. He just wondered if Naruto would recognize him, after all, he made a drastic change in his apperance and it had been three years. That was an awful lot of time and change. He knew Naruto had barely changed at all. His fiery attitude would be easy to pick up on. He would probably also be wearing that bright orange like he always did. That brought a big smile on his face. He remembered telling Naruto how sexy he looked wearing that. Naruto decided never to change his apparel because of it.
*Sasuke's Flashback*
He looked upon Naruto, smiling, "You know, if you hadn't accidentally kissed me at the academy that day, I might have never known how awesome you are." Sasuke was wearing Naruto's orange jacket. He had asked for it for one reason. He wanted to see Naruto in that black shirt that he wore under it. It revealed his muscular upper body and for that Sasuke's eyes were feasting on this new sight.
"What are you thinking about Sasuke?" Naruto asked softly, unable to tell what was on that beautiful boys mind. He looked at Sasuke, just studying his features.
"I am thinking about the future, our future," Sasuke sighed. He'd said it. He was wondering what Naruto would say about it. It almost scared him that he had popped out with that.
"I want our future to be as happy as possible. I want to see us together forever," Naruto said, looking deeply into Sasuke's eyes. "You are the one that I see myself spending the rest of my life with."
This brought a smile to Sasuke's lips. He threw his arms around Naruto, "I want to live the rest of my life with you in peace. I don't want to be a ninja for the rest of my life. I want to have a family and take care of them. I want that family to be with you, Naruto."
Naruto had never had a family and Sasuke's was killed when he was just a boy. They could both have a family together, make sure that their future together was a happy as it could possibly be. "I'm scared about the chuunin exams," Naruto admitted. "What if I don't pass?"
"There is nothing to fear. We will both pass and I will help you get ready for them. Just trust me. I will help you with anything that you think you could possibly have trouble with," Sasuke smiled at him. "I never told you this, Naruto, but I think that outfit that you wear is very sexy. It never gets old." Sasuke leaned over and softly kissed Naruto. "I love you, Naruto. Never forget that I love you, no matter what happens, I love you with all my heart. Never will my feelings for you change."
*End Flashback*
Sasuke remembered that after the curse mark, his feelings for Naruto did seem to change. His heart still felt the same way, it's just his mind became clouded with all those thoughts of destroying everyone. Even then, he wanted to destroy Naruto. After their big fight, he remembered leaving his headband with him, he almost kissed him when he was about to leave, but he decided against it. He didn't want any emotional attachments keeping him from accomplishing his mission. If only Naruto knew about this mission he had been assigned. If only there was a way for him to know.....
