Sasuke

Sasuke stared up at the canopy of the tent, letting his breath out slowly through his nose. Beside him, Naruto turned over in his sleep between the silences of his breath. Asleep. Sasuke shut his eyes and opened them again.

Beneath cover of trees was warm and humid. When the others had dropped off to sleep, he’d pulled his shirt off and folded it behind his head, but sweat still gathered along the dip of his spine, across his stomach. He listened to Naruto’s breathing, brushing his sweaty hair off his forehead.

His muscles ached from running, his legs especially from yesterday’s morning training, which seemed very far away now. He’d forgotten what it felt like to be on a mission like this, where you had time to pitch a tent and rest. They weren’t being hunted, not tonight. Not here.

He rolled over onto his stomach and folded his arms beneath his chin, watching Naruto sleep in the half-light creeping in from the slit in the tent. He, as well, was sweating slightly in the damp heat. The ache between his legs grew stronger.

As a rule, Sasuke wasn’t interested in sex. But that was just a rule, after all. His mind was elsewhere in the afternoons, his mind was on task when it needed to be, but he couldn’t keep his thoughts from drifting at night. He justified it to himself by asking what boy could not want what every boy naturally wanted? He’d mastered his body through training, and he could master this too. If he wanted to. Sex had little to do with the mind. It was an act of two bodies, the natural reaction of hot skin to lips. The ache in his stomach and between his legs was vestigial but it built like a persistent itch inside of him, drawing his fingers down below his waist, not wanting the others to hear.

Sex was an act without emotional justification, without the weakness of love. In the dark, he reached across his bedroll and placed his hand over Naruto’s mouth.

Naruto

In half-sleep, he knew it was Sasuke so he didn’t struggle.

“Mm, what the hell?” he murmured, turning his back on his tent mate. His eyes snapped open when Sasuke grabbed him painfully around the upper arm and forced him to turn over again. He tried to sit up, “Sask-“

“Shh. Damn it, you’re so loud.”

“What are you doing?”

“Shut up for a second, will you?” His voice sounded hoarse and insistent. Naruto rubbed the sleep from his eyes and stared at him. His dark hair was over one eye, his lips were parted. That was all he could see in the dark. “Sasuke-kun . . .”

His first reaction when Sasuke took him by the shoulders and forced him to lie down was to resist and push back at him, but when Sasuke’s grip didn’t become anymore persistent, he gave himself over to curiosity. He could feel the heat off of Sasuke’s hands on his bare shoulders, as warm as his breath. Without hesitating, Sasuke leaned down and forced his lips over Naruto’s.

He’d never been kissed by anyone before, not a real kiss anyway. His cry of surprise choked itself in his throat, a flame put out in their mouths. Sasuke tried to shift positions, sliding his bare knee between Naruto’s legs, without breaking their contact. Adrenaline shot through Naruto’s body, from the base of his spine to his mouth. Sasuke’s tongue slid between his lips. The sensation was alien and frighteningly good. He broke away. “What the hell are you doing?”

A string of saliva connected their lips for a moment, then broke. Sasuke wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, “What do you think I’m doing?”

Naruto searched his brain for anything to say back, “I-I’m not really into guys.”

“So what?”

He hadn’t expected that. He shut his mouth, gazing up into Sasuke’s face. It was only a black shape above him, expressionless. The only thing Naruto could hear was his quick breath. “What do you mean?”

Sasuke sighed impatiently but his hands shook from anticipation. “Look, you don’t have to do anything back. You can just lie there.”

“Like hell!”

“Will you keep it down?”

They both silenced and listened for a sign that they’d awakened Sakura in the next tent or Kakashi sleeping on the ground outside. The forest was silent in the heat. Sasuke pushed Nartuo onto his back again, “Just relax.” His voice was trembling.

Sasuke

Naruto’s eyes were wide and searching. He didn’t protest when Sasuke began to pull down the elastic of his boxers but he did turn his eyes away. He looked ashamed.

Well, if he was letting Sasuke undress him, he couldn’t feel that much shame. Beneath what little clothes he had left on, he was so hard that it hurt to move. Hissing through his teeth, he tugged off his boxers and kicked them away, pressing himself up against Naruto’s groin. He gasped, one of his hands closing painfully around Sasuke’s shoulder. Watching him, he could almost see Naruto’s thoughts fading away. Uncertainty becomes need, guilt becomes obsolete. Humans were animals. They needed this contact so badly that they would pay strangers for it. To feel this. After their initial fear and embarrassment passed away, their movements were frantic.

They kissed only once or twice more before giving up on it. Neither of them were any good. The touching was what they wanted, their hands diving in between their legs to their erections crushed together. Naruto clumsily stroked Sasuke’s cock with one hand and covered his mouth with the other to stifle soft, inescapable moans. Sasuke felt dizzy, sucking hard at Naruto’s collarbone. His legs were shaking. He wanted this. The way he wanted an enemy dead after a long and painful fight. The way he wanted to be better at what he did.

Without asking, he leaned backwards, pushed Naruto’s legs apart and slid quickly and painfully inside of him. Naruto cried out beneath his cupped hand, first trying to pull away, then involuntarily bucking his hips up towards Sasuke as he rocked deeper into him. The sensation was blinding and it didn’t last long. He thrust quickly and hard as he could, Naruto’s body rocking up each time he bucked forward until he came so hard he saw stars. Gasping, he pushed backwards, the sweat crackling between their bodies as they pulled apart.

There was a fine trickle of blood between Naruto’s legs. He must have felt it there because he quickly put his knees together and pulled his boxers on again, his chest heaving.

Slowly, the high of the climax began to fade to a heavy and natural exhaustion. Sasuke lay trembling on his back, his eyes half-lidded. “You won’t tell anyone, will you?”

“No,” pause, “you won’t tell anybody either, right?”

“Right.”

A few beats of uncomfortable silence passed and Sasuke felt himself begin to drift into sleep when he felt Naruto’s fingers on his wrist, “Can I do it to you?”

Kakashi

Sex never lasted long between teenagers, especially not boys. Kakashi had to force himself along, to muffle the cry of his own orgasm in theirs. He pulled his hand out of his pants and wiped it on a strip of white bandage, listening to them settle for sleep at last in the tent beside him.
He could have made more of an effort not to listen, but in the end he let himself. He couldn’t help it. Love was personal but sex . . .

Sex wasn’t personal.
