Sasuke thinking to himself /come/
Flashback *come*

“Ahh,” Sasuke groaned quietly, slowly sitting up in the bed, holding a hand tight to his ribs which seemed to shift inside him every time he moved or breathed. Staring around him, he recognized the sights and smells of a hospital, and glancing out the brightly lit window, he acknowledged the green, lush forest’s as those Konoha, their emerald beauty appearing vastly different from the dead and decaying trees that had surrounded the Snake’s lair.

With this, he started. Why the hell was he back in Konoha, the village he had left behind in his demented search for power, the village /and people/, he’d longed for since his desertion? The raven searched his memory even as he attempted to swing his legs off the edge of the bed so he could stand, but could not remember anything that had happened currently, only a severe unease. Another groan escaped his lips as pain rippled through his body, in particular his shattered ribs and jaw, as well as his left leg, but surprisingly enough, the burning sensation that usually announced the presence of Orochimaru’s curse mark was not present. Sasuke racked his brain for answers to how he got into this position, but all he could remember was a flash of blue fading to bloody, enraged crimson.

Finally feeling his bare feet meet the coldness of the floor, his breath hissed out painfully as he shifted his weight from the bed to two unsteady pale legs and he felt the tug of stitched wounds across his body, mainly focusing on his chest and upper back. Sasuke noticed a mirror and dresser set against a far wall and, slow as an old man, moved towards it until he stared in shocked horror at what he was faced with, one pale hand moving up to brush the cold, unfeeling reflective glass.

Haunted, black ringed black eyes stared back at him from a face made pale by numerous hours spent in the complete darkness of the Snake sannin’s room. His midnight dark hair appeared unkempt but clean, once neat strands now lay in ragged layers over his head, some caught in the silver snake earrings twisted through his ear. The only wounds on his face were a split lip and minor scrapes, but this wasn’t true for the rest of his body. He slipped the hospital gown from his upper body and took stock of his injuries.

White cloth that had been rolled tightly around his chest to hold his ribs concealed some burns which licked up and down his side, what appeared to be old lash marks, and some odd wounds that seemed like some flying, on fire shrapnel had hit him. As he took note of each wound, hazy memories drifted towards the forefront of his mind yet he was unable to make them out, making his hands clench in the wood of the dresser till it began to splinter with the pressure. His ebony eyes then flicked to the junction of neck and shoulder, widening in surprise as he realized why he no longer felt the insidious burn of the Snake’s seal… It was gone, replaced by a fiery red mark that, when he leaned closer to the mirror, revealed itself to be a tiny fox with nine tails, sitting proudly within a circle of the same color. The new mark was tiny, yet exquisite in detail and the dark haired boy could only stare at the miniscule image which had replaced the cursed seal of the Snake sannin, a feat he had thought impossible.

Sasuke shook himself free from staring at the tiny mark as he looked around his bright room. He could only think of one reason why he would be back in the place of his birth. A tiny smile lit his pale pink lips as he thought of the one who held his heart in their hand. Sunshine personified, his little lover had been the only bright light in his life from the time they had first become lover’s after that fateful mission to the Land of the Waves, a night of passion and love revealed, a night of sweat and tears and promises, throughout their days as growing ninjas, even now after his desertion of Konoha, of striking his own hand through Naruto’s chest *You really did take my heart that day*, Naruto had continued to love him with a passion unrivaled by any thing the raven had ever seen. Leaving him behind was the only thing Sasuke regretted and his heart cried broken tears every day their separation continued. Stolen kisses on rainy nights after brutal fights that left them bloody and half-dead before Sasuke was drawn back to Orochimaru by the seal binding his body to that of the sannin were not enough to appease either of the ninja. Sasuke sat back on the bed to regain a little energy before he went to look for his blond lover, his thoughts automatically falling into familiar paths about his hyper, ramen addicted lover. Naruto, he of spirit and sunlight and laughter and love, he who had promised to drag his dark haired lover from hell itself if need be, must have, somehow, succeeded in defeating the Snake because that was the only way he would escape the golden eyed man’s coils. Sasuke smiled to himself. His dobe was probably somewhere in the hospital himself, he knew there was no way Naruto could be able to stay away from him once they were back in each other’s arms.

Suddenly becoming tense, Sharingan snapping into place, Sasuke stared at the door as it opened quietly and a black haired ninja dressed as a medic-nin poked her head inside to take a look at her patient. Seeing said patient sitting up in bed and crimson red eyes with their black commas swirling made her gasp and she quickly left to tell her boss that the one they had kept such a close eye on was finally awake.

Shocked by the sudden disappearance of the nurse, Sasuke surmised that it was because of his reputation as a missing-nin and relaxed marginally until the door once again opened, this time with a swiftness and strength that made the door hit the wall with a loud bang and instead of a meek nurse peeking in the doorway, a tall, buxom blond woman stood in her place with amber eyes blazing at the teen on the bed, eyes cold and hard as she took stock of the patient. Sweeping into the room, followed by the black haired shorter woman, her continued glare set Sasuke on edge even as he took her the power apparent in her every move.

“Uchiha Sasuke. So, you have finally awakened.” Her voice rang through the air, every word precise and controlled. He warily nodded, eyes slowly spinning as his gaze flickered in between the two kunoichi. “Yea, and who exactly are you two?” He questioned with a rough voice, nearly growling in its rustiness, as if he had not spoken in a very long time. The black haired woman started forward, indignation flitting across her features even as the big breasted woman grabbed her and shook her head. Turning back to the Shinobi laying on the bed, she raised an eyebrow and spoke. “After your former master killed the Third, I was chosen as Hokage. I am Godaime Tsunade, and this is my assistant, Shizune. Now, Uchiha-san. You will tell me everything that happened before I take those damn eyes from your face and peel the skin from your flesh, even though I should go ahead and do it without even questioning. I can extract your memories even after your body has died, but I don’t think ‘he’ would like it if I did.” Tsunade spoke, each word spilling from her lips with menace and poison, eyes frozen and fixed on the deserter.

Sasuke’s mouth almost dropped at the tone that the old woman had taken. Why was she asking him? From what he had heard while in Orochimaru’s camp, his little lover had gotten close to this ‘Godaime Tsunade’, so wouldn’t he have told the lady on their return what had happened? Unless he had been unconscious at the time of arrival and was still out. Slightly less confused, he sat up straighter and met those cold honey colored eyes. “I can not remember. I’m guessing that Naruto is still unconscious if he hasn’t told you yet.” He spoke honestly, not wanting to get on the wrong foot with this powerful woman who held his life in her hand’s.

The raven then stared in shock as the Hokage closed her eyes and seemed to slump against the other. /Are those… tears?/ He asked himself as he watched the kunoichi seemed to break down visibly and the nurse /Shizune/ pulled her into a tight embrace. /Something is wrong… Something is wrong with Naruto./ His fear overcame his pride, sending ice cold tendrils crawling up his spine and forcing him to ask “Is something wrong with him? He… Is he hurt that bad?” in a tiny voice. Tsunade whirled with tears in her eyes to focus on his pained, worried face. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes once again, she walked towards him and held out her hand, a beautiful necklace slithering through her hand until a brilliant crystal fell to the end of the length, its beauty marred by the crimson blood staining it. “We found you just outside the gate with this around your neck and one of his fox summons at your side. This necklace is given to the next Hokage by the last. I gave it to Naruto and he would only have given it to someone else if he was dying. Sasuke… Naruto is dead.” She spoke softly, slowly, knowing how deeply Naruto had loved the boy sitting before her, a boy that had frozen upon hearing her words, staring at the Hokage’s necklace within her hands.

The last Uchiha, a traitor that her brother had loved and believed in completely, sat before with a look of stunned horror on his face before those eyes turned to her, their dark, pained depths begging her to tell him it wasn’t true. “No…You’re wrong. Naruto couldn’t have died. He… He got me out of there! He got me free! He’s supposed to be here with me! We promised each other!!” He screamed at her, tears filling those horror filled eyes which spun wildly. The raven began to stand up as if to run out and prove Tsunade wrong, but with pity in her eyes, Tsunade touched a finger to his forehead and sent him deep into his unconsciousness. As the pain wracked body slid down into her arms, Tsunade clutched to her breasts the only piece of her little brother that remained, his lover who had within him a piece of his soul.

In the dark recesses of his mind, Sasuke had pulled his knees to his chest as his heart shattered and memories came roaring back into his mind like a monster, tearing his soul to pieces as he recalled every moment of his escape from the ivory pale clutches of the Snake master.

Long Flashback

Sasuke slowly raised his eyes to the Snake sannin, ebony depths carefully hiding his contempt and hatred for the rogue ninja who slowly stroked his jaw as Sasuke attempted to give his mission report.
“Ne, Sasuke-chan.” The sibilant hiss came, false affection injected into its tone, a tone which always meant trouble for the Sharingan wielder. After a few moments of refusing to answer, those ice pale hands clenched around his jaw painfully until he reluctantly replied with a “Yes, Orochimaru-Sama?”

Smiling coldly, those golden eyes stared down at his toy as the Snake continued his stroking touches downward until he was brushing aside Sasuke’s loose top so he could touch the seal which was burned into the other’s flesh. “I do believe that I have been too lenient with you, Sasuke-chan. In all the time you have been here, never once have I tasted this sweet flesh of yours.” The long haired man hissed, his extremely long and agile tongue slid out of his mouth to wrap around his toy’s neck, brushing against past marks of abuse, the lash and whip cuts, marks from failed jutsus he had experimented with on that beautifully pale body, signs of the torture Sasuke had endured for his amusement. Orochimaru grinned evilly as he used his tongue to yank Sasuke’s head back by his hair so he could see the horror that swam in those eyes.

Sasuke had endured many things under Orochimaru’s hands. Torture which ranged from being Kabuto’s test toy for all his mad experiments from testing various poisons which made him want to claw his own skin from his flesh and jutsus which left him incapable of moving for days, to pure physical torture at the hands belonging to all of Orochimaru’s other twisted ‘pets’ for their pleasure, pleasure which often found him left up on a rack stretched painfully with slices of skin hanging raggedly from his back and blood dripping down to pool at his feet or lying limply on the floor after they had decided to ‘test’ his pain tolerance. But he could take it all, take anything that those bastards dished out to him because not once had he been touched in a sexual manner. His memories of Naruto were closely tied to those of them making love, a gentle and caring affirmation of their love for each other, and he never wanted Orochimaru to touch those precious memories. They were the only thing keeping him sane and strong, his last tie to the person he wished to, eventually, return to.

The raven glared up at his master and, staring into those cold eyes he prepared himself to refuse the missing-nin but before he could, a bright, golden bell of a voice rang through the darkened chamber of Orochimaru’s room. “You will not touch him Orochimaru!” That voice called, a voice that Sasuke heard every night in his sleep, a voice which caused his heart to warm even as it caused his blood to run cold. Slowly turning, Sasuke nearly gasped as his gaze fell upon the blazing being standing right in the doorway to the Snake’s inner sanctum. The Sharingan wielder’s eyes soaked in every aspect of his lover he hadn’t seen in quite a while, his lover who had changed drastically enough to make even Orochimaru tense behind him.

The teen in front of him appeared calm, but tensed muscles rippling in rough Shinobi clothing belied that image. While Sasuke grew up slender and grown only a little, Naruto had grown up at least a foot and powerful muscles rippled under golden skin that flickered with candlelight. A golden red anklet circled his left ankle and he wore no shoes on his feet, yet didn’t seem at all bothered by this fact. Large hands were held loose at his sides, their ends tipped with metallic gold claws already stained with blood. Traveling up that beautiful body, Sasuke noticed the thong of a necklace leading down the broad chest to hide underneath his shirt. Hair which had once been a pure, sunny blond had grown out as well, becoming liberally streaked with a bloody crimson red and was long enough to be pulled back into a ponytail, still spiky but a little more tamed, falling wildly around a beautiful angled face, the whisker scars darker and wider than Sasuke remembered them being. Sasuke finally did gasp when he focused on his lover’s eyes. Naruto’s left eye was still the beautiful cerulean blue of summer skies that he remembered yet his lover’s right eye had shifted, appearing slightly too large in that handsome face and instead of that pretty blue, they had turned the color of blood and the pupils were slitted like a fox’s. Underneath and above that eye, Sasuke saw crease marks, indicating that the hitai-ate now around the other’s forehead had been used to cover that eye. He also took in the pierced eyebrow, nose and lip, all on the left side of his face. Overall, his dobe’s appearance shocked him, yet excited him at the same time.

Naruto’s dual colored eyes swung from Orochimaru’s snake-like face to focus on his lover. Smiling slightly, he took in Sasuke’s shock at his appearance, yet he also saw sudden lust burn in those night dark eyes he loved so much which caused him to smirk widely, a slight baring of inhumanly sharp and long canine teeth. The now tall blonde turned his attention back to the Snake master when Orochimaru hissed loudly, hand tightly clenched on Sasuke’s shoulder, digging into the mark he had left on the raven, causing the boy to groan lowly. Naruto snarled, fully baring his fangs in anger, eyes suddenly burning with a fierce feral light even as the missing-nin smiled evilly at him.

“So…The Kyuubi container comes to take back his toy, does he? My my my… What an obnoxious surprise.” The sibilant voice spoke as Orochimaru stood elegantly, pressing even harder on Sasuke’s seal, forcing the younger boy to fall to the ground in pain. Cold golden eyes fixed on the teen in front of him, assured of his victory over the boy even if he was the Kyuubi’s container. Still… “Kabuto. Come in here.” He called to the pale haired ninja. In seconds Kabuto had appeared in the room, instantly taking in the situation, pushing his glasses up his nose in annoyance. “Yes, Orochimaru-sama?” His servant asked, dark silver eyes staring at Naruto. The snake gave a sinister smile and waved his hand at the blond. “Take care of this… nuisance for me” was all he said and Kabuto smiled slightly before stepping in front of his master.

Gazing coolly at his opponent, Naruto smiled viciously. “So like you, Orochimaru. Let your pawn do your dirty fighting for you instead of having the balls to fight yourself” he yelled, eyes focused on Kabuto, body shifting easily into a loose, comfortable position. Kabuto frowned, obviously not appreciating the slurs about his master, nor the fact that the dobe had called him merely a pawn. He leapt forward, gathering chakra in his hands as a grim smile lit his face, “You die here, Naruto!” Naruto continued to not move even as his enemy drew closer and closer until, just as Kabuto was about to slam his chakra laden hand through his chest, he drew back a clawed hand and swept it forward, raking his face and causing Kabuto’s entire body to jerk and fall to the ground. From there, the silver haired rogue medic stared up at his opponent, face slashed into bloody ribbons from that single attack, even Orochimaru’s eyes had widened in surprise. Never before had one landed such a blow on Kabuto. Orochimaru’s golden eyes were fixed on his underling’s face, waiting for the wounds to begin to heal and for him to get up and continue the fight. The first hint that something was wrong was Kabuto’s expression, going from arrogance to surprise, to fear in split seconds as his hands flew up to his face. “That won’t help at all Kabuto.” The fox laughed, the echo of a growl in his deep voice even as the glasses-wearing ninja stared up at him with shocked eyes.

“Kabuto?” Orochimaru called, annoyed by the lack of movement in his toy. His snake eyes widened as the boy turned to him, darkness spreading from the slash marks on his face as the ragged edges of the marks began to seep puss and blood, signaling infection which was rapidly spreading by the looks of the darkness. The snake sannin turned his eyes back to that bastard ninja and hissed at him “What is this?” Naruto laughed slightly, that bloody red eye sending a shiver of fear throughout his body. “Ah, Orochimaru. Did you not realize when you used that jutsu to drive a demon insane so it would attack Konoha, you caught in your net the Kyuubi no Kitsune, most powerful of all tailed beasts, as well as part nogitsune (3), dark demon foxes renowned for their dark honor as well as knowledge of poisons? What Kabuto here is getting a taste of is Dark Fire, a special poison that only comes from Nogitsune blood. It kills within minutes, eating the body from the inside out.” He said calmly, as if delivering the morning news, instead of a death sentence. Kabuto’s shocked eyes flew to his master, begging him to help even as the infectious poison spread throughout his system, flesh dying and simply sliding off in patches. Sasuke stared in horror at what his obviously not so gently lover had done, killing the mad scientist that had tortured him so. “Any who have harmed my lover shall die this day, Orochimaru. The death bell tolls and its calling your name.” This time, the growl was more apparent, as if something inside the blond was clawing to get out.

Orochimaru slowly removed his eyes from the fleshy bag of pus and melted muscle that used to be Kabuto until he smiled up at the demon fox. “Fine then.” He snarled, hands flashing in a jutsu, quicker than Naruto could stop and suddenly, Sasuke fell to the ground, all his energy drained from his body. /Shit!/ He cursed inwardly as Orochimaru kicked him aside which produced a snarl from Naruto, red chakra began to flicker around Naruto. The blond threw himself forward, claws sizzling with black poison as he attempted to claw Orochimaru with them, but the snake jumped out of the way quickly yet in the process, he also had to leave Sasuke, which had been Naruto’s original idea. Kneeling at the dark one’s side, Naruto brushed his hair back and smiled down at him. “You okay, teme?” He asked quietly. Before Sasuke could answer, Naruto whirled and called out “Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!” Creating numerous clones, many which blocked Orochimaru’s attack while one he directed to pick Sasuke up. “Keep him safe.” Naruto told his clone which nodded and leapt away from the fight, Sasuke yelling the whole time for it to put him down so he could fight. Laying in a copy of his lover’s arms, Sasuke could only watch as his lover and master fought a vicious battle over him.

The fox boy and the snake whirled around each other, each hunting for weaknesses in the other as every once in a while, one of the clones would leap in and try and land a blow. Using a moment of opportunity, Orochimaru called out Kusanagi and it floated above his head, hanging there like a threat from heaven*(2), capable of striking Naruto at any moment. Keeping a close eye on the floating sword, Naruto leapt forward again, calling forth a Rasengan in his hand, using his unbelievable speed to get close to his hated enemy but at the last moment when he threw his hand forward to try and impale the snake, Orochimaru put on a burst of speed which barely moved him out of the way so that Naruto’s attack, instead of hitting him full on, grazed his face, causing considerable damage yet not slowing him down. Unfortunately, Naruto lost sight of the sword for a split second and it dove him to give him a deep slice from his left shoulder blade to right hip. “Give it up Uzumaki! A worthless child like you could never defeat me!” Orochimaru yelled out while flicking his hands and biting his thumb to call up two snakes, cobras larger than he was which hissed at Naruto and moving in front of the sannin. Naruto just grinned even as blood dripped from his torn back. “So, traitor, you want to summon worms to this fight? Let me show you the power of a true summon!” He yelled.

Sweeping a hand through the blood on his back, Naruto quickly flashed through a few hand signs, one that neither Sasuke nor Orochimaru recognized, and slammed both hands to the ground, yelling “Kuchiyose no Jutsu! Tamamo, Kumiho!*(3)” He yelled. Black fire flashed up, smoke hiding the summons from all eyes. Orochimaru started to laugh as he saw nothing in the smoke, but swiftly quieted when the smoke drifted away, revealing Naruto kneeling in between two huge creatures. Appearing in the form of huge bull sized foxes, the summons were black as night, the first had four tails, markings of a light purple color, and brilliant cerulean blue eyes while the other had seven tails, crimson red markings, and cold golden eyes. “Kitsunes…” Sasuke whispered under his breath. His dobe had summoned demon foxes!

Naruto stood between the two Kitsune. “Let me introduce you, Orochimaru. On my left is Tamamo,” with this, the purple marked Kitsune snarled at the snake, “and Kumiho”, the red sat on its haunches and glared. “He smells of snake. Can we eat him?” Kumiho snarled, its feminine voice causing shivers up the spines of all in the room, even the snake summons appeared frightened. “Get rid of those summons first.” Naruto spoke, his voice suddenly echoed by a much deeper voice. Kumiho and Tamamo bounded forward and engaged both snakes in a fight even as Naruto ran forward, ignoring bone deep slices from the Kusanagi in favor of getting hits off of the snake sannin. Back and forth, jutsus flew, some being deflected and some hitting their target while Sasuke could only lie limp in the arms of the clone, staring at his lover. Orochimaru increasingly attempted to hurt Sasuke only to be repelled by Naruto at the cost of the sword striking him even more, once even striking close to his heart. The snake summons were proving a challenge for the Kitsune, even though they were far weaker, for no other reason than the fact that they were able to maneuver more easily in the enclosed space, their writhing bodies hiding in and behind objects that the two fox demons had to fight through.

After several minutes of continuous blows back and forth, the blond suddenly began to slow, his breathing becoming labored and hard, sweat dripping down his body. “Ahh, I was wondering when it was going to take effect. It seems like not even a Nogitsune can handle the effects of Kusanagi delivering blood into your blood stream every time it cuts you. You are dead, pretty little Kitsune. Hmm, maybe I should use your body before you die? Would you like that? Or, I can fuck pretty little Sasuke-chan while you watch, then ride your corpse until you die. Would you like that?” He laughed, walking forwards to the shivering blond. “Naruto! Run! Run while you can, leave me! I am not worth you dying over!” Sasuke screamed even as Orochimaru backhanded Naruto, causing him to fly across the room, hitting the wall and rolling down, blood streaking the wall in a garish parody of a wall painting. Sasuke yelled again, screaming all sorts of obscenities to get his lover to run, to leave him here and get away safely. Slowly Naruto stood and walked to him.

Standing before Sasuke, Naruto gently raised a hand and cupped his cheek before bending over and kissing him deeply. Sasuke fell into the kiss, tongue whispering out to lick at the other’s lips which parted gently. The dark haired boy nearly recoiled at the taste of blood in Naruto’s mouth, but the blond held his head close. Finally drawing back for some much needed air, Sasuke stared dazedly up at his stunningly beautiful lover. Naruto had grown so powerful, able to match Orochimaru step for step until the sannin had used poison to slow him down. Sasuke had no doubts that on an even playing field where Naruto wasn’t so desperate to help him at the cost of his own body, his fox would have won. Catching Sasuke’s ebony dark eyes filled with love and pain for him, Naruto smiled once and drew his hand away, leaving a bloody hand print behind. “Uchiha Sasuke… Hear this and believe. I shall love you forever, with all that is within me and I shall find you again. Don’t stop believing in me. I will come back to you.” He whispered before turning around and walking back towards Orochimaru. Kumiho and Tamamo, finally having finished off the snakes, rushed to him and started whimpering. Turning one last time, Naruto used a small amount of blood and called up one last summon. “Kuchiyose no Jutsu. Inari.” He whispered, sagging slightly as the dark fire appeared again. This time once the smoke had rolled away, there appeared a pure white fox with a mark of gold on its forehead and ice blue eyes, only three tails coming from behind it. It nuzzled at Naruto’s hand. “What do you wish, you who holds the Lord of Foxes?” came its beautiful, androgynous voice. Naruto scratched it gently, then pointed at Sasuke. “Take him far from here, back to the green forests of Konoha.” He said, causing Sasuke to try and fight within the clone’s arms even though he had no power. “Don’t you dare do this dobe! I am going to KILL you!” He screamed even as the ivory fox paced towards him. Naruto only smiled, whispered some words to him, and turned back around.

Looking at his summons, he smiled at them. “Ready girls? Just hold him for me, then leave before you get hurt.” Kumiho looked like she was about to say something, but quieted and nodded while Tamamo appeared to be tearing up before both turned to face the Snake. Behind the tiny group, Naruto’s clone was placing Sasuke upon Inari’s back, the demon using chakra to make sure the boy stay put. Sasuke could only watch as his love made a small signal and both Kitsune swept forward, each grabbing an arm in their hand, holding it in place and not allowing Orochimaru to move. He witnessed Naruto’s being morph into that of a blood red Kitsune, starting with the face. With an enraged roar, Naruto yelled out “Kitsune-Bi(4)!” and ran forward to close his jaws around Orochimaru’s throat, and in that split second, both summons disappeared, Inari turned to run, Sasuke’s eyes locked with Naruto’s, Orochimaru screamed raggedly, and Naruto closed his eyes and gave into the transformation as insane black fire sprang up around their forms in, spreading outward at a tremendous rate as Inari ran almost too late, the Fox Fire licking at Sasuke’s chest and back, burning him slightly. Naruto’s clone, which had followed Inari and Sasuke, smiled at Sasuke once, simply saying “Believe” before disappearing with a pop as the black fire roared like a living beast behind them. The last thing Sasuke remembered before passing out was his face pressed into Inari’s warm white fur as it ran, the demon’s cries echoing his own.

End Flashback-

Sasuke woke up slowly, tear tracks staining his face. Looking around, he realized he was still in the same bed he had woken up in earlier. Suddenly gasping, he reached up and clenched his shirt at his chest, his heart shattering within his chest as he came to the realization that nothing could have survived Kyuubi no
Kitsune’s fox fire… Nobody… He felt tears run down his cheeks in a flood as he fell out of the bed, body not cooprating in the slightest as he stumbled to the chest of drawers, pulling them open, searching… Searching for something he could use to end it… End it all… Finally, his fingers grazed something sharp… Pulling it out gently, Sasuke smiled grimly at the kunai in his hand. Sitting back on the bed, he looked out the window and placed the kunai at his wrist, preparing to slice deeply. Just as he was about to make the cut, a sudden noise at the window stopped him and he looked up. There on the sill, looking at him with bright red eyes, was a tiny two tailed Kitsune… After staring at each other for a few moments, the young Kitsune gave a tiny chirp before grabbing the kunai from his limp hand and running away with it. Staring at the Kitsune as it ran with his chance at freedom in its mouth, he saw it spin around and give him an undecipherable look and run away. Sasuke stared long after it had left… Not knowing what to believe anymore.
END

Okay guys. I know its not all that great, but how bout you give me some tips, ne? I have the urge to continue this, but tell me what you think! Should I make a sequal, and if so, should Naruto be still alive, or should it tell of how Sasuke faces life without his loved one? Anyways, until next time! -DirewolfLilith

Authors notes

1*Nogitsune- Kitsune that do not serve Inari, or wild Kitsune.

2*like a threat from heaven -I used this as a play on words. Kusanagi is literally the Kusanagi no Tsurugi: Kû no Tachi, or Kusanagi Sword: The Long Sword of Heaven.

3*Tamamo and Kumiho-Tamamo is a Kitsune in Japanese legend who spent much of her life as a courtesan in the high court until one day she is accused of making the emperor sick. Two warriors are ordered to hunt and eventually kill her. Her body then turned into a Killing Stone and Kumiho is the Korean version of Kitsune.

4*Kitsune-Bi- Literally, fox fire.
