Sakura's Nightmare
Guy wanted to prove to Kakashi that his students were stronger, so he and Kakashi had set up a training session. Sasuke was fighting Neji, Naruto was fighting Lee and Sakura was fighting Tenten. It was a long hard fight. Sasuke and Naruto won their fights, but Sakura lost. She collapsed and the others helped her pull the senbon from her back. After a while they were finally dismissed for the day; Sakura went home.
Sakura went into her room and just flopped down on her bed and closed her eyes. Every joint and muscle ached; and the weird thing is, now that she was relaxing, the soreness felt kind of comforting. Sakura let out a long sigh and lied down for hours; she couldn’t fall asleep, but resting like this felt very nice. She finally sat up and noticed how dirty her clothes were. She changed into a robe and went to the shower. She hung her robe on the wall and turned the shower on. The warm water caressed her naked body, easing her sore joints; it felt heavenly.
She washed herself after a few minutes of enjoying the water and when she was washing her leg, the water suddenly felt different. It felt as if it were clinging to her body and was crawling over her. She then saw a swarm of beetles crawl down her leg and arms and she screamed. She jumped out of the shower and saw bugs were coming from the showerhead. She screamed again and stumbled for the door, bugs started coming from the faucet now and the toilet as well. She fumbled with the doorknob as the bugs crawled to places she wouldn’t rather mention. She finally opened the door and fell into the hallway, still screaming. Her mother came rushing down the hall.
“What happened?! What’s wrong?!” she asked, alarmed.
“GET THEM OFF ME!!” Sakura shrieked as she swatted herself, trying to shake off the bugs.
“What? Get what off you?” her mom asked. Sakura suddenly stopped, she noticed the bugs were all gone. She looked up and saw the bugs in the bathroom were gone as well. She then realized she was naked and covered herself with her arms, even though the company was only her own mother.
“What…?” she muttered, confused.
“What’s wrong?” her mother asked, she knelt down beside her. “You’re as pale as death!”
“B-but…wha-what I…there…bugs…” she babbled.
“Bugs?” her mom sighed in relief. “Is that all?” she walked into the bathroom, looked around and came back out. “Well, they’re gone now. Imagine,” she laughed, “all that fuss over a few bugs.”
Sakura blushed. “But…they,” she started, too shook up to finish her sentence. Her mom went back into the bathroom, got her robe and a towel and handed her the towel. While Sakura was drying herself off, her mom turned the shower off. She came back and handed Sakura the robe.
“Put this on, dear,” she said warmly. Sakura took it from her and put it on. She stood up and stared blankly into the bathroom. “You’d think a ninja wouldn’t fuss over a few bugs,” her mom giggled. Sakura glared at her and turned to go to her room, not saying a thing. “I guess that last comment wasn’t that necessary…” her mom muttered as Sakura slammed the door.
‘Dammit, thinks she knows everything about ninjas,’ Sakura mentally fumed as she got dressed. After she finished she lied back on the bed and wondered what happened in the bathroom. She felt the bugs on her skin, so it couldn’t have been a delusion. Then she wondered if you can or can’t feel a delusion; if your sense of sight could be fooled, what about your sense of touch? She didn’t know the answer. The more important question is weather the bugs were or weren’t a delusion. And if so, what caused the delusion.
She wasn’t getting anywhere just lying there; she needed to know what exactly happened. She got up and headed back to the bathroom. Before she did, though, she grabbed her tool bag; you can never be too careful, after all. She nervously peeked in and looked around. She slowly walked over to the shower looked inside; she saw nothing. It was wet inside, but not a single sign of bugs. She looked at the showerhead and got a knot in her throat. She slowly turned it on and…water came out. She let out a long sigh as she turned the water back off. She turned around and saw no bugs. She giggled to herself and wondered what she was thinking; it was a delusion, bugs didn’t really come out of the showerhead. She laughed at her stupidity as she decided to wash her hands. She turned on the water and bugs came out.
She shrieked and threw herself onto the ground. Few seconds later her mom rushed in. “What’s wrong?!” she asked. Sakura got up and nervously looked at the sink, no bugs, just water.
“Nothing…I just slipped.” she lied. She got up, brushed herself off and forced herself past her mother and walked back to her room.
‘What’s up with that girl today? She was shaking like a leaf, something scared her.’ she looked at the faucet; water running from it. She turned it off and shrugged her shoulders.
Meanwhile in Sakura’s room she was sitting on her bed, hugging her knees and trying to calm down. She felt as if she were living a cheap horror movie. She rocked back and forth on her ass and told herself it wasn’t real over and over, but she couldn’t convince herself; she felt like she was going crazy. She decided to tell someone; maybe they could help her. She walked to her door and opened it.
Bugs…everywhere. They were lining the walls and floor, even the ceiling. It looked as if the room was alive and twitching. Sakura silently closed her door, stayed there frozen with fear and eyes wide with horror for a few seconds, staggered backwards, caught herself on her bed and grabbed her heart; it was racing. She was breathing heavily and had broken into a cold sweat. Sakura had only been afraid of huge bugs, but after the incident in the shower, she was now afraid of all kinds.
She almost had a heart attack when a knock came on her door. “Sakura, honey? May I come in?”
“S-sure,” Sakura replied. She was sure now that there wasn’t any bugs out there, her mom would have surely seen them. The door opened; her mom came in…covered head to toe in bugs. Sakura could hardly see any skin. She screamed and tripped over the bed and then got back up and backed over to the back wall.
“Sakura, what’s wrong now?!” her mom stepped into the room.
“NOOOO!!” she shrieked. Her mom stopped in her tracks. “STAY AWAY!!”
Sakura’s mom backed up and out of the room. “Stay there, honey. I’m going to find someone to help you!” she turned and ran. Sakura stayed there, not sure what just happened. Why didn’t her mom notice she was covered in bugs?
‘Maybe I am going crazy…’ she thought to herself. She looked up and saw her mom left the door open; the hallway was still covered with bugs. Sakura’s breath was caught in her throat. The bugs entered her room and slowly headed to her; she screamed again. She threw a kuni knife at the window in her room, broke the glass and jumped on the window seal. The glass cut her feet, but she didn’t care, she leaped onto the ground below and ran. She had no idea where to go, but she knew she needed to get as far away from her house as possible.
She ran as fast as she could, pushing past people in the crowd as she ran. She looked back to see if any swarms of bugs were behind her and she ran into something. She fell to the ground; she ran into Naruto. They got up and groaned from the pain. “Are you two okay?!” a voice said. Sakura looked up and saw Hinata.
Naruto and Hinata had recently started dating. One day, Hinata had worked up the courage and just blurted out her feelings to Naruto, but then got so nervous that she ran off before Naruto got a chance to reply. It was an interesting week, Sakura and Ino talked to Hinata and finally convinced her to let Naruto respond, and then they hooked up. Since Naruto was clueless and Hinata was shy they always ended up in awkward situations, and just when you thought something bad would happen as a result, they’d both laugh about it; they were a cute couple.
“Yeah, I’m okay…” Naruto grunted. He reached out and helped Sakura up.
“Thanks,” she said. She was violently shaking and her face was white.
“What’s the rush?” Naruto asked. Sakura was about to say something to them, but then her eyes suddenly went wide and she took a step back. Bugs were crawling on both Naruto and Hinata. Sakura turned to run, but Naruto grabbed her hand. “Hey, Sakura, what’s wrong?”
“LET GO!!” she shrieked. In surprise Naruto’s grip loosened and Sakura pulled away, running like the devil was after her.
Sakura ran and finally looked behind her to see Naruto and Hinata chasing her, bugs slowly encasing their whole bodies. Sakura faced forward, unable to look at the grotesque sight any longer and focused what little rationality she had left on running. She ran almost inhumanly fast and quickly lost both of them. She stopped and leaned against a tree, taking in short gasps of air; she felt as if she would pass out. She remained there for a while in absolute privacy, not a soul (or bug) in sight. She let out a long sigh and slid down the tree, now sitting on the ground she closed her eyes and smiled, she had gotten away.
“Sakura,” a voice said. Sakura opened her eyes.
“Master Kakashi,” she breathed, still out of breath. “Boy, you wouldn’t believe the hell I’ve been through today!” she laughed.
“Well, your mother and Naruto said something’s been disturbing you,” Kakashi said. He slowly approached her; it was obvious that he was under the impression that she had gone off the deep end. Sakura didn’t care though, she was happy that she was finally safe.
“Well, I…” she stopped. She saw a bug cross his headband; she then noticed more bugs. She was slightly slack-jawed and turned white again. Kakashi slowed down a bit, noticing Sakura’s horrified expression.
“Sakura, I’m here to help you, just calm down.”
“No your not…you’re going to hurt me…” she got up and backed away. She was talking to the bugs, not Kakashi. The bugs swarmed and soon Kakashi looked like he was made of bugs; Sakura felt like she was going to throw up. She backed up against a tree and the mass of bugs walked to her.
“No, I won’t hurt you. You’re safe now, come with me,” it said.
“No…” she shook her head. The swarm of bugs was now in front of her. “Stay away…” she whispered, her eyes clenched shut.
“Don’t worry, you’re safe now.”
Sakura suddenly felt her second wind accompanied by a strong adrenaline rush. “Like hell I am,” she said as she got a letter bomb from her pouch and threw it on the bugs. She ran to the side and watched it explode. Suddenly, from behind her came a noise. She turned and saw another mass of bugs.
“Sakura, calm down!” it said in Kakashi’s voice.
“A doppelganger jutsu won’t work on me!” she said. She drew more knives with letter bombs attached and threw them. The bugs dodged and circled around her. She jumped away and threw as many kuni knives as she could throw at once, no bombs this time. The bugs drew a knife and blocked every one of them; while distracted, Sakura caught her attacker off guard with a kuni knife with a letter bomb and took it out as well.
Knowing the battle was won too easy; she turned around again to see another mass of bugs. “Come on, now that I’m actually fighting you, the real you won’t even face me?! Coward!” she said as she threw some more knives. The mass of bugs sidestepped and avoided. “Ain’t so fun now that I’m fighting back, is it?” she smiled.
‘Damn, she really has lost it!’ Kakashi thought. Kakashi jumped back to avoid some shuriken Sakura had thrown. ‘Now, why does she only use weapon attacks? Is she afraid of touching me?’ he wondered. He ran behind her, her reflexes too slow to keep up. He had not wanted to use any force and try to reason with Sakura, but it was now obvious that that wasn’t going to happen.
The mass of bugs grabbed Sakura from behind. Sakura screeched and violently struggled to no avail. She opened her eyes and saw bugs crawling on her. She screamed and struggled to get them off, but her arms were being held to tightly. The bugs crawled all over her, in her hair, under and on her clothes, over her eyes. Sakura let out one more scream before she passed out.
Later…
“Ugh…” Sakura began to wake up. She sat up and yawned; she looked around and didn’t recognize the area around her. “Huh…?” she said, still half-asleep. She stood up and looked around; she was in a small space, the walls around her were solid stone and one had holes in it. She was sitting on a bed in one of the corners and had this strange device attached to her and she was in this skimpy white shirt and pants. She was very scared now. “What’s going on?!”
The stone with the holes suddenly opened in the middle, two people entered. She recognized one as Guy, the other she had never seen before. The stranger wore a white coat, like a doctor. They stopped in front of her.
“Master Guy, what’s going on?” she asked, confused. There was a long silence. “Please answer me!” Sakura stood up.
“Sit down and calm down,” the man Sakura didn’t know said; she did as she was told. He was glaring at her as if she was some sort of monster; Guy was looking at her with a mix of hatred and sadness. Sakura looked back and forth between them, neither saying a word.
“Please, what’s going on?” she asked, trying to sound calm.
“Drop the damn act, you know why you’re here, you probably just don’t know where here is,” the man said. “My name is Sai Higorashi, remember it.”
“Where is here?” Sakura asked. Sai and Guy looked at each other.
“You’re…at an asylum,” Guy said. Sakura’s eyes went wide.
“What? But…why?” she asked, scared.
“For the little massacre you had on the village,” Sai said. Sakura’s heart almost stopped. “That’s why a kid like you was sent here.”
“M-massacre…?” she asked, having no idea what they were talking about.
“The killing spree you went on. You showed extreme power and killed many: men, women, children, shinobi…” Sakura couldn’t believe what she was hearing as Guy explained. “Even jonin rank ninja, including…” Guy looked away, unable to finish his sentence.
“Including Kakashi Hatake,” Sai finished. Sakura stood up again.
“What?! But I…!” she started. She was then interrupted by Sai punching her, she fell backwards onto the bed, blood dripped from her mouth.
“Shut it, maggot! I warn you, if you lose control Guy and I have full permission to kill you!” he said. Sakura was speechless. “Remember, the only reason you haven’t been executed is because you kept shouting about bugs when you killed them and you’re mother believes you’ve simply lost your grip on reality. Also, the Hokage is far to forgiving.” he glared.
“But…I…don’t have the strength to beat a jonin!” she said in her defense. Sai slapped her, hard.
“You are a horrible actress, I was one of the people who apprehended you,” Sai said. “You used forbidden jutsu to kill them. Even your own friends.” that last statement caught Sakura’s attention.
“My…friends?” she asked. Sai punched her.
“Shut it!” Guy grabbed Sai and whispered in his ear. He intended for Sakura not to hear him, but she did.
“Look, she doesn’t remember. If she really is crazy, then maybe she has no memory of what she did,” he whispered.
“Oh she remembers. I’ve worked here for thirty years and I know a lying face when I see one. He killed Lee, remember; why the hell are you on her side?”
“Lee? What happened to Lee?” Sakura asked. Sai turned to her and she thought he was going to hit her again, but he didn’t.
“You want the detailed version or the short version?” he glared; Sakura didn’t answer. “Very well, the detailed version. After you killed Kakashi, some shinobi tried to stop you, but you killed them as well. Rock Lee, Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga formed this lets-talk-the-crazy-girl-out-of-killing team. Without even stopping to listen to them, you went for Lee first; you tore his arm off, beat him senseless with it, and then you grabbed his head and…”
“NO!” Sakura stood up again. Sai grabbed her by the throat and pinned her down on the bed.
“You grabbed his head and spun it around, snapping the neck like a twig. You then dropped his carcass onto the ground. Sasuke stepped up, being the only sensible one in the group, decided to stop you. Then you…” he smiled, enjoying Sakura’s struggling.
“NO!!” Sakura shrieked.
“He’s dead, because of YOU! YOU KILLED SASUKE!” Sai yelled.
“NO!!” Sakura threw him off, the force sent Sai flying to the wall. Guy lunged forward and tackled her, some people rushed in also wearing white coats. They grabbed Sakura’s limbs and held her down. Sakura was screaming she was innocent when one stabbed her with a syringe, injecting her with something. Sakura suddenly felt odd, the room spun around and she felt faint. She soon afterwards blacked out.
She woke up later; she had no idea how long she had been asleep. She was held in restraints, strange braces around her hands. The braces were chained together and were covered with a soft material, probably so she couldn’t use it as a weapon; there were also long chains from her ankles connected to the floor. She was in the same room and there was a spot of blood on the floor where she had knocked Sai.
“How did I hit him like that?” she wondered aloud. She stared at the roof, still on her back. Then the nightmare began again; numerous bugs crawled across the ceiling. She froze, her breath caught in her throat. She whimpered slightly, unblinking eyes locked onto the bugs on the ceiling. One flew down to her, she screamed and kicked at it with her feet, she missed. The whole bunch then joined the first, swarming around her; she flailed her limbs violently trying to fend off the attackers.
The door opened and numerous people ran in; Sakura looked at them for a sec, then the bugs were gone. The people were all in white coats and one had a syringe, they saw she was calm now and probably guessed there wasn’t a reason to use it now.
One of them left the room and came back with Guy and Sai. The doctors stayed away from her and Guy and Sai stood in front of the bed. “Pleasant dreams?” Sai sarcastically taunted. Sakura didn’t say a thing. “Since we didn’t get a chance to ask you before, we’ll ask you now. Why did you do it?”
“I…didn’t,” she said.
“I saw you commit half of the murders,” Sai said. “And don’t give me that I’m not strong enough excuse.”
“But I’m not,” she said in her defense.
“You know what that thing on your stomach is?” Sai pointed to the device on her stomach. “It drains your chakra to very low levels, yet you knocked me across the room. Do you feel tired?” Sakura nodded. “That’s because we turned it up two notches.”
“But…”
“But what?” Sai glared. Sai sat on the bed next to her. “Look, lets be friends for a minute, nobody will judge you, we just want to know you did it. Or your last memories before you ended up here.”
“All I remember was is a swarm of bugs bunched together like a human body,” Sakura said.
“Did you fight it? Or did you run away?” Sai asked.
“I fought it,” Sakura answered.
“I see, how did the fight go?” he asked.
Sakura told Sai and Guy the details of the fight. After that she explained her day, Sai and Guy listened with great interest.
“Interesting, but I asked you why did you kill all those people,” Sai said.
“I…don’t remember killing anyone. I didn’t do it!” Sakura said.
Guy suddenly spoke, “You don’t remember? That’s you excuse? You don’t remember killing my best friend?” he leaned over and stared angrily into Sakura’s eyes. “You don’t remember killing my precious student?!” he grabbed her neck. “YOU DON’T REMEMBER KILLING BOTH YOUR OWN TEAMMATES?!”
“…Both…?” Sakura weakly said, Guy still holding her by the neck.
“You flipped out before we could say the rest. You killed Lee, Sasuke, Naruto and Hinata,” he said. Sakura started shaking. “Your mom wound up in the hospital trying to help you, but she’s stable now.”
“My mom?!” she said. Sai punched her and told her to calm down. He also told Guy to let go, saying that holding her like that wasn’t helping.
“You’ll remember why later, right now, where did you lean the forbidden jutsu?” Sai asked.
“I…don’t know any…” she said.
“Wrong answer. Did anyone anger you, of just these make-believe bugs of yours?”
The conversation didn’t go too well from there. Sakura didn’t have any answers for them and they suspected she wasn’t telling the truth. They didn’t try any extreme measures to make her talk due to the fact they had to treat as if she was crazy. It seemed to last for days before it ended. They left her alone in the cell, the lights out. She didn’t get dinner as punishment for not talking, but Sakura knew the real reason was so when they came in the next day they’d hope she’d talk for some food.
Sakura stayed alone in the cell, but it wasn’t nearly as dark as one would think. Sakura wondered why it was so bright, but put the question to rest; she had too much on her mind right now, and was too tired to think about even that. She heard a noise and sat up, there was someone else in the room. Sakura stared at the unmoving intruder, at first scared, but then just merely confused.
“Um…who are you?” she asked. After she asked this the lighting in the room seemed to increase for no obvious reason. The intruder was wearing a light gray coat that even covered his mouth. He had spiky brown hair and sunglasses on. Both his hand were shoved in his pockets. “…Shino?”
Sakura didn’t know Shino, but knew his name and knew his fighting style. She then got very scared; Shino was a human bug hive who used the bugs to fight.
“Why…?” he asked. Sakura didn’t respond. “Why did you kill Hinata?” he took a step forward.
“I…didn’t. Why does everyone keep telling me I did?” she asked.
“I watched you. You were screaming nonsense while you killed her.”
“That wasn’t me!” Sakura sat up.
“Liar…” Shino muttered. The room suddenly changed; the bed, walls, ceiling, everything turned into bugs. The floor was even covered with them. Sakura was too scared to scream. The chains didn’t turn to bugs and her legs were still bound to the floor. “I will make you suffer.”
Sakura was too scared to even listen. The bugs were crawling on her and some went under her clothes. They went to her shirt and stopped at her breasts; they did something to her nipples. Her breath was caught in her throat; it felt pretty good. Whatever they were doing, the feeling it was causing caused her to fall to her side on the bed of bugs. Shino walked over to her, she tried to sit up, but the bugs kept her down. Some even crawled into her pussy, Sakura’s breathing became labored. She was rendered completely helpless, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw Shino take his pants off.
“No…” was all Sakura could mutter; she prayed Shino wasn’t thinking what she thought he was thinking, but what else could he be thinking? Her will gave her the strength to sit up, but the combination of the bindings, the chakra draining device and the bugs caressing her private areas let Shino simply push her down, no resistance.
“Shino…no…” Sakura groaned. The sight of Shino’s erection struck great fear into her. Sakura was on her back, she could see everything: his naked lower half, him taking her pants off, the bugs crawling out of her, and the unthinkable. He shoved his cock into her; Sakura felt a piercing pain like nothing she had ever felt before as he felt him grab her thighs for support. Her bindings and lack of energy kept her from doing a thing; she might as well have been drugged.
“NO…NOOOOO NO NO NO!! NOOO STOP!” she screamed as he rammed her with all his strength. It felt like she was being split apart. The pain was too agonizing to describe with words. Shino kept fucking her with all his rage and hatred. Sakura could only scream and pray someone heard her. She didn’t care if this was another delusion, she didn’t care if she died, she didn’t care if she stayed in this asylum for the rest of her life, she just wanted this to stop. She wanted Shino to just stop and go away but she knew that wouldn’t happen.
It was horrible, and while he raped her, memories came; she remembered she did kill them. She snapped Lee’s neck, she used a letter bomb to kill Kakashi, she tore Hinata’s body in half, she tore Sasuke’s head off and she beat Naruto until he bled to death. Not just that, she used a severed limb to beat her own mother, but according to Sai, not only was she still alive she was still on her side; Sakura knew she didn’t deserve it.
Not only them, she remembered it all: the blood, the screaming, her own maniacal laughter as she killed them like a psychopathic murderer. Sakura clenched her eyes shut and kept screaming at the pain of being raped. It lasted for hours until Shino pulled out of her; she was sweating and her groin felt like it was torn in half. She breathed heavily and looked at Shino through the tears in her eyes.
“I’m sorry…” she cried. Tears were streaming down her face, but not at the pain, not the physical pain anyway. Shino looked at her.
“Sorry will never be good enough,” he said as he pulled out a kuni knife. Sakura’s eyes went wide and she shook her head no, but Shino paid no mind to it. He lifted her head by the hair and help the knife to her throat. Sakura felt the pain as he slid it across her throat, cutting it open. He dropped her head and stared as she felt a warm gush of blood come from the open wound. Her eyes went blurry as all pain faded along with all feeling she had of her body. Absolute silence engulfed her as she felt herself fall into the endless abyss…
“Hey, Sakura! Guys, she’s waking up!”
“Naruto…?” Sakura groaned. Her vision returned to her and she saw she was in a hospital room. She sat up and saw her mom, Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Hinata and Tenten beside her bed.
“Oh Sakura, you had us all worried sick!” her mom said.
“But…you all…” Sakura pointed to them.
“You’ve been asleep for two days straight!” Hinata said.
“You were muttering in your sleep, looks like you had quite a dream,” Kakashi said.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?” she asked, annoyed. Killing her friends, it was all a dream; she wasn’t even raped.
“Well, you need your rest,” Kakashi said. Sakura was about to argue, but Tenten said something.
“Sakura, I have to apologize. When we fought, well see, I use a poison on my senbon, but I didn’t clean them properly before our fight. You didn’t get a lethal dose, but enough to cause major delusions,” she laughed. Sakura’s eyes went wide.
“You mean…it was your fault?!” Sakura screamed. She jumped up and punched Tenten. Tenten backed up and Sakura took another swing. “DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA THE HELL YOU PUT ME THROUGH?!” she screamed. Tenten ran out of the room and Sakura chased her. Naruto and the others chased after them.
“Well, she recovered quite nicely,” Kakashi commented.
“She always had a lot of energy!” Sakura’s mom replied.
Author's notes- I just want to make it clear, this wasn't a double dream. The asylum thing was a dream, but being chased around by bugs, that was a delusion. Sakura was awake during that time.
