This story idea was actually inspired by a small comic series made by an artist called Kattymouse, and from what I’ve seen with the search engine, there is another story that contains something similar, so this is my attempt at writing a furry Naruto story! I hope you enjoy it!


Chapter 1: The Forgotten Clan!


The village of Konoha, also known as the Village Hidden in the Leaves was the most populated ninja village in the world, nearly double the amount of inhabitants out of any other village! It had endured countless damage and yet still carried on. From being attacked by the most powerful demon on the planet, who was now sealed inside the body of the son of the man who had defeated the demon, to being assaulted by one of their most powerful exiles ever to be raised in the village. But nothing could prepare the village for the events that were to come…


“Are you sure they’ll even let us into the village? I mean they are ninjas after all, shouldn’t they be guarding their secrets with their lives?” asked the boy as he and his partner walked side by side casually through the forest.

The boy was named Tashida, but he had no known last name, apparently his family had decided to cast off their last names around the time of the second Hokage’s death and the establishment of the third. He looked to be about 14 years old and was dressed in a large blue cloak which covered from his neck, all the way to his knees, completely obscuring his body from view underneath it. His hair was spiky and grown down to at least earlobe length and was fiery red in color while his eyes had yellow irises which was odd for humans. Other than the cloak, his only visible means of clothing was a ninja headband, although the symbol for which village they hailed from was completely blank, showing off just a simple metal plate.


“Of course they will, our family originally was part of the village too, we’re practically family to them!” said Tashida’s partner as they continued to walk on, seemingly oblivious to the ANBU who were watching as the forests’ guards.

Tashida’s partner was named Kisuke, and was apparently much older than him, probably in his mid to late 20’s or so. His hair was smooth and reached to his shoulders and was a darker, almost dirt colored form of red while his eyes were a darker yellow than Tashida’s. He was dressed similar to Tashida, having worn a blue cloak all the way to his knees and an unmarked ninja headband.


“Alright, but if they attack us, I’m blaming you…” said Tashida as they could see the village looming up in the distance indicating they were almost to their goal. As soon as the village could be seen, the two travelers stopped and smiled to each other, knowing full well that the ANBU had been watching, they slowly bent at the knees and then together, they both vanished in a flicker of movement, seeming to have just vanished into thin air!


Within a matter of seconds, the two travelers appeared back into view once more, right at the village gates to Konoha, having traveled nearly a mile and a half in just a matter of seconds! Tashida’s knees began to shake while Kisuke just shrugged to himself and kept walking slowly with Tashida in tow.


“You need more practice with your time space jutsu…” said Kisuke as Tashida finally regained his composure and they entered the gated checkpoint which was guarded by only two Chuunin who stopped them when they saw the headbands upon their foreheads. Believing them to be enemy ninja, the Chuunin demanded to know their purpose for entering the village, to which Kisuke began to explain.


“We come in peace, my brothers!” he said while holding his hands up to show he meant no harm, “Our family has a very old history with Konoha and so we have returned to our ancestral home for a visit! It’s been nearly 100 years since we’ve come by and we wanted to see what has changed since then!” he finished as Tashida began to explain about the headbands.


“Although our clan no longer lives here, these headbands are a symbol that we still practice the ninja arts, but has no village symbol to show that we have not joined with enemies of Konoha, this might sound completely bogus, but if we could get an audience with your Hokage, we can explain better!” he said while also showing his hands free.


The two Chuunin looked at each other, still a bit untrusting of letting them in as the only actual allied ninjas they knew about only visited during times of emergency as they had their own villages to take care of. But upon hearing that they could explain to the Hokage, the Chuunin nodded and agreed to let them pass on the condition that they be escorted directly to the Hokage before making any interaction with the village.


Several minutes later at the Hokage’s office….


“And so you see, Fifth Hokage, although our family was never truly exiled from the village over 100 years ago, we decided that it would be best to break contact with Konoha for a while due to our rather unusual jutsu giving everybody the creeps back then. But we’ve heard that Konoha is much more mature place since then and we wanted to see if it was alright to move back in, we’re sort of the ambassadors of our clan, if you will…” said Kisuke as he and Tashida had removed their cloaks and given a demonstration of their jutsu.


Without their cloaks on, their uniforms were clear to see as Kisuke was wearing a uniform very similar to a Konoha Jounin except that his survival vest and jumpsuit were not sporting a village symbol at all, just like his headband.


Tashida’s clothing was much more surprising due to the fact that although he looked far younger than Kisuke, he was wearing an ANBU style uniform with his cat mask strapped to his left hip instead of worn on his face. He also was lacking in the weapons that the ANBU were famous for carrying, such as the katana usually strapped to their backs.


The jutsu demonstration they had given appeared to be some kind of beast mimicry technique similar to that of the Inuzuka clan, except it seemed far more advanced than simply sprouting claws and fangs as their bodies had actually transformed into human/beast hybrids! This caused Tsunade to blink in surprise when she saw Kisuke had transformed himself in an anthro horse form with almond colored fur and the front hooves being manipulated into hands with his body nearly tripling in height. Tashida, however, was in a lion hybrid form with his red hair becoming a mane and his finger/toenails transforming into deadly claws. Like Kisuke, his body was almost completely lion except for being an anthropomorphic version.

“They thought your clan were demons rather than ninja?” asked Tsunade as the two deactivated their jutsu, returning to their previous forms. They had explained earlier that due to their members possessing the power to transform into human and animal hybrid forms, many of the members in the village were highly distrusting of them, believing them to be demons or evil spirits similar to the nine tailed demons all over the world. They had left so that the village didn’t rise up and slaughter their clan out of fear, but now had finally decided to return to the village.


“Your ranks are apparently quite high for a simple clan, I’ve never seen a 14 year old ANBU before, usually only villages who have a Kage are known to have that rank, they’re supposed to be our personal students…” said Tsunade while leaning back in her desk and thinking to herself while sipping some of her sake.


“Our village has quite a history with the ANBU squads, we felt a connection to their animal masks and so we had more members among it’s ranks than any other clan, we’ve continued it’s training even after leaving!” said Tashida with pride.


“Alright fine, I grant you permission to function in the village until such a time as you wear out your welcome with hostile actions or betraying our secrets.” said Tsunade while stamping some papers that the two had handed her upon their arrival which labeled them as official Konoha ninja.

“I’ll have the officials file for adding our village symbols to your uniforms in about a week, but until then, I don’t want to see this turn out as a mistake, so please boys… don’t try any bullshit!” said Tsunade while shouting the last part of the sentence and giving them a death glare so powerful that she normally only used it on Jiraiya or Naruto. The two shinobi were shaking at the legs as they nodded and smiled while quickly scampering out of the office to explore the village.


As they finally left the office, the two ninja smiled to each other and gave a high five motion, “Alright, we’ve been accepted as Konoha shinobi!” exclaimed Tashida with joy before whispering incase anybody heard, “Now to begin with our S class mission…” he added while the two left the Hokage building.


“Yes, but she didn’t buy it, I think we should hurry up and begin finding subjects immediately, no doubt she’s going to have them tracking us in a matter of hours and by then we’ll have no chance of success…” said Kisuke as the two began to dash off for the apartment district to locate a place to live. “We shouldn’t wait any longer than one hour, or else just call the mission off, lets hurry up and get us a home and then instantly locate someone.” he added.


“How about the nine tailed boy? He’s already pretty close to being an animal, it would be an easy attempt!” said Tashida with a grin to himself at seeing the villager’s expression at a new Kyuubi wandering around.

“No, I’d rather not fuck this up by our first subject going haywire and obliterating the city because we were too careless. He won’t be our final subject, but I suggest we get a bit of practice in first, we’ve just recently learned our clan’s most forbidden technique, so there is a chance it could go wrong…” replied Kisuke which caused his partner to frown in disappointment.

Secretly, however, in the Hokage’s office, Tsunade leaned back in her chair with a frown on her face, “Those idiots apparently don’t know that I’m the granddaughter of the Second Hokage, I’ve heard stories about their clan’s jutsu plenty of times…” she said to herself, “If you even so much as try to pull what I’ve heard about you, I’ll personally take you down…” she added while reaching for some information papers and began to file for an A ranked spying mission upon the two.
