Stay Here: AFF Prompt: Harvest
I am truly enjoying these little prompts from AFF.... I normally have trouble writing shorter stories. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and this is the absolute first time I have written anything on this pairing. Please tell me if you like. (I may write a story centering around this one shot.. not sure... let me know eh?)
Ok, on with the fic! Ja Ne, Anubis!

Itachi lay comfortably on a hill over looking a field. His head and shoulders were cradled in his companion’s lap. He watched as the villagers hurried about, trying to get their work done.
He shifted slightly to look up at his current pillow. “Do you think we can stay here?” he asked.
The other man shook his head. “Maybe a few weeks, a month at the most,” he answered, “They are still tracking me.”
Itachi sighed. “Are we staying in the town tonight?” he asked, “I don’t want to sleep on the ground again.”
“Itachi, you don’t have to run, you are safe, they think you are dead.”
“I know.”
A sigh and a slightly larger hand touched his face. “Brother, it will be fine,” Sasuke said, “We will find a place to call our own.”
Itachi smiled. “This is the Harvest and the beginning of a new cycle,” he said, “We are far enough away, let us start over here.”
He looked towards the field. “These people do not know who we are,” he continued, “As long as we stay out of trouble, we can hide here.”
Black eyes closed and the young man nodded. “All right,” he whispered, “We will stay.”
“I love you, Sasuke.”
Sasuke leaned down and kissed him softly. “I love you.”
