The Goth and The Jock

Naruto closed his cell phone and grinned. "Alright lets get a move on! It's gonna rain." The blond boy said zipping up his orange jacket, he elbowed his friend next to him who had started to space off.

Lee nodded and slipped his hands into the pockets of his green sweatshirt. "Alright fine with me Naruto-kun," He said following the blond head along the street.

Naruto playfully pushed his friend into the street but not hard enough to knock him over, he then ran ahead laughing hard. "Haha! Can't touch this!" He yelled and started dancing around earning confused looks by people walking down the street. For a 18 year old..he rarely acted his age.

Lee shook his head and pulled his hood over his head when it started raining. "Naruto-kun, I'll get you for that!" He said chasing after his annoying friend.

"AHH!" Naruto yelled and ran ahead and then stopped in front of a store and grinned waiting for Lee to start to complain. He pulled out his phone to text someone real fast before his older friend caught up to him.

Lee easily caught up and hit him up the back of his head, knocking the baseball cap off. "Baka, A soccer player can easily catch up to a baseball player," He said with a playful glare. After glaring though he couldn't help but smile and laugh asking, "Why did you stop anyways?"

"Ooow so mean." Naruto whined and knelt down to pick up his hat. "Look at the stooooore.." He said and looked in the window.

The older male glanced at the store then quickly looked back to Naruto, "No.. We are not going in there! That store always has loud music that hurts my ears and I can not even understand it.. Plus.. that weird gothic kid you know is in there.." He said not wanting to be mean, but the boy he was speaking of scared him a lot.

"Oh get over it Lee! As I always say...you still don't know the real him." Naruto said loving that he could confuse his friend and grabbed Lee's wrist dragging him in. He grinned spotting his friend who was standing behind the counter, his black hair in his eyes as he was reading a book laying open on the counter, he lifted a pale hand that had way to many rings on it and turned the page. Sneaking over Naruto walked behind the counter and glomped his best friend. "AHH! Naruto get the hell off me!" The boy yelled and the store owner rolled his eyes as he put a few shirts on a hook. "Naruto please rape Gaara on your own time." Hidan said.

Lee felt awkward in the store he obviously didn't belong in. He walked over to the counter while rubbing his arm and glanced over at boy of the teenagers on the floor. "Really, Naruto-kun can we just go? Maybe we can get home and watch the game or something.." He murmured. His brown eyes quickly shifted from place to place in the store, trying to know the odd surroundings.

Naruto helped Gaara up and laughed. "Hold on I want to talk to Gaara for a bit." He said and the shorter male glanced at Lee. "What's wrong scared of a little store?" Gaara asked folding his arms, he jumped when Naruto reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone and turned it on. "Stop turning your phone off I have been trying to text you all day." He complained. "Why did you bring him here?" Gaara asked pointing at Lee and glaring at him.

The black haired male glared back and folded his arms, "Why did you bring me here Naruto-kun? You know me and him do not get along," With that his death glare then turned his his blond friend.

Gaara death glared back. "I am wondering the same Naruto shouldn't you take him to a store for wusses?" He asked and ducked as a gum packet was thrown at him. "Gaara! You will be off work in a few minutes to me a favor and get over here and help me stack these fucking boxes." Hidan said and Gaara leaped over the counter and walked over to his boss.

"I am surprised you can even jump wearing all that junk," lee commented back and started to walk to the exit. "And, No, I just would prefer not to be in a store for depressive and mean people," He said. "Naruto come out when you are done talking to him," then he slipped out of the door and into the rain.

Gaara smirked seeing Lee was leaving and picked up a few of the boxes. "Bye bye have fun getting a cold." He said and started stacking the boxes. Naruto sighed and then looked down at Gaara's phone which was still in his hand. He smirked evilly and added Lee's number to his phone in the contacts. "Lee come on man don't be in the rain its cold dude." He said and felt a poke on his shoulder, he turned to see Hidan raising a eye brow at him. "You walking Gaara home? a lot of people are giving him trouble so walk him home from now on." He said and Gaara groaned. "That means I would see the annoying one everyday." Gaara said talking about Lee who was still in the store. "Deal with it." Hidan said.

"He is not coming to my house... If he is coming we drop him off at his.. box... then we go back to our apartment ok Naruto-kun?" Lee said. A growl left his throat thinking of the goth boy even going 3 feet out of the store with him. but he wasn't about to be mean and let him go home and end up getting beat up.

"Tch like I would want to be stuck in a room with someone bitches so much." Gaara said and finished stacking the boxes. He turned to look at Naruto and grabbed his phone back. "Stop always taking my phone you have your own." He said sounding annoyed and the blond wrapped an arm around him. "But your phone is more fuuun." He whined.

"What ever, is the gothic boy done with his work?" Lee asked as he rolled his eyes and glanced out the door and girls laughing and pointing at the fact he was in the store. "Gah.. if you are not..please... hurry," he said forcing out the please. Lee was not normally one to be so mean, but there was an exception for the boy Naruto called a 'friend' they had never been on the right foot ever since he first was dragged to the store.

"I will the sooner you shut up." Gaara said and jumped back over the counter grabbing his backpack, as he leaped back over he blinked as Hidan handed him a few dollars and leaned to whisper something to him. "Thanks I will." He said and grabbed a umbrella and opened it as he walked out of the store. Naruto ran out after him and stood under it with him grinning. "So how are your siblings?" He asked and Gaara looked down a slightly sad look appearing in his green eyes.

The older male stood behind, not wanting to burden the smaller boy by being too close to him, plus he didn't want to be caught dead near the gothic kid. he pulled his hoodie closer and ignore the rain as he walked at a safe distance behind the two. It was a short yet killing walk to Gaara's apartment. 'Alright we brought him now let us go..." murmured the slightly annoyed boy.

Naruto turned and hugged his friend tightly. "Bye Gaara." He said smiling and the shorter male hugged back. "Bye Naruto...and loser." He said glaring at Lee then turned to walk up the steps. "See you tomorrow!" Naruto said waving happily.

"Good now we can le-" He stopped in mid sentence when he went to turn around. "Ugh what is it now?" asked the now frustrated male as he glanced over at the door where Gaara was now coming from walking over to Naruto.

Gaara rubbed the back of his neck and frowned seeing a large black bag sitting on the steps. He picked it up and looked inside seeing it was all his things. "I could not pay the rent and the locks have been changed..I can't get in." He said looking at Naruto. "I..well don't have anywhere to stay Naruto could I-" He was cut off as he was hugged by his blond friend. "Oh sure thing Gaara! You can stay with us for awhile!" Naruto said grinning.

"NO! No! Absolutely not! I will not have someone so obnoxious, depressive and and.. such a jerk living in the same area as me! Naruto! I pay half the rent, which means I get half the say in this and I say hell no!" Lee would never cuss nor yet, but this was one thing he never wanted to happen.

"Lee! Come on Gaara needs help." Naruto yelled back and Gaara moved the heavy bag and slung it over his shoulder and turned started to walk away. "Whatever I can ask Hidan if I can stay in the store room.." He muttered holding the umbrella above his head. "Wait Gaara!" Naruto called then glared at Lee. "Come on Lee what happened to 'help anyone in need'? You always remind me of that." He said frowning.

Lee winced knowing his friend was right and he reached out grabbing Gaara's arm, "Fine.. BUT.. only until you get a new apartment.." He said his voice quiet. He hated the fact Naruto was very right on what he was talking about.

Gaara pulled his arm out of Lee's grip and glared at him. "Don't touch me...and ok." He said and then shoved his bag into Lee's hands. "Do a favor and carry that." He said smirking then walked over to Naruto who was smiling. "Thank you bushy-brows!" He yelled and wrapped a arm around Gaara in a hug. "Ugh get off." Gaara said and Naruto laughed.

'Be nice Lee.. you can keep being nice.. he is another person..' Lee thought to himself as he smiled holding the bag. "Sure thing, roomie.. and Naruto-kun do not call me that for the twenty millionth time.." He sighed and tried to stay relaxed as he turned the opposite way and started walking home.

When they reached the apartment Gaara sat down on the couch looking tired and Naruto flopped down next to him grinning. "This is gonna be great having you here Gaara!" He said cheerfully and the green eyed male gave a small smile.

Lee glared and dropped Gaara's bag, ignoring the crashing sound that was heard. He slipped his shoes off and sighed seeing that both Naruto and Gaara had walked on the carpet with their muddy shoes. "Even the one that lives here is not following rules.." he murmured as he went to go to the closet.

Gaara froze hearing the sound of glass breaking and jumped up from the couch and walked over to his bag pulling it open and wincing as he pulled out a picture frame that was now broken, glass shards falling from it. He stood up and glared at Lee. "What the fuck in your problem?" He spat and Naruto sweat dropped.

"What it is a picture frame, you can buy another one, there is a dollar on the counter, go buy one, it does not matter. Now the $300 carpet you just ruined with your muddy shoes matters," he snapped back as he grabbed a rag and got it wet with warm water walking over.

"Not this frame! Its the only one of its kind!" Gaara yelled and started to gather up the glass carefully holding it in his hand, he held the frame in his other hand glancing down at the photo in it. "Heh you can replace the carpet makes the room like gay anyway." He said glaring at the older male.

"You little..." Lee cut himself off and dropped th rag. 'You know what.. I am not fighting, enjoy your slumber party you two kids.. The adult is going to go to sleep because he actually makes a good pay at work in the morning.." He said walking to his room slamming the door.

Gaara looked down at the broken frame again sadness creeping into his eyes, Naruto frowned and got up getting a cup and held it out to the shorter male and Gaara dropped the glass into the cup then took it. "Where do I sleep?" He asked and Naruto grinned. "My room duh! Come on lets get that fixed.." He said and lead Gaara into his room. Later that night Gaara was in the kitchen looking through the cupboard looking for a cup wanting some water.

Lee had woken up hearing the noise. The noisy blond he called his friend never once stirred unless he had to use the bathroom, but hwy was their noise coming form the kitchen. Sneakily Lee slipped out off his room and tackled who was in the kitchen to the floor, pinning their arms above their head.

"W-What the fuck? Get off me asshole!" Gaara shouted and struggled his red hair falling into his eyes.

Eyes widened, he recognized that voice. Immediately the older man got off and walked over flipping on the light. He froze looking at the redhead. The features were the same, but.. he had red hair, he no longer had piercings on his lips and he looked somewhat.. well adorable. Wait a second, shake head. No, he just looked normal. "... Why are you wearing a wig..? and why did you take our your piercings?" Lee asked slightly confused.

"You really think I dress like that by choice?" Gaara asked glaring at him and rubbed his eyes the black rings around them seen clearly with out all the goth make up. "I have to for my job..got to look the part was how Hidan put it." He said and stood up wincing a little from a pain in his tail bone. "Did you have to tackle me?" He asked frowning

"Well I.." Lee winced, he had been judging a book by it's cover even though he hated doing so. "I am sorry I thought you were a robber or something.. Um, what were you looking for?" inquired the other person, trying to redeem himself for being an obvious ass.

"I'm not that poor that I would steal something." Gaara said and folded his arms and leaned on the counter. "I was looking for a cup I needed water." He turned his head and stared at the wall.

"Wrong cabinet.." Lee said and walked over getting him a glass and handing it to him. "Hey.. Um.. sorry about earlier.. I just.. I do not really care for you.. you seem like the bad type..but.. You really were upset about that frame.. I will replace it if you need me to.." He said.

"Why don't you just come out and say.. I can clearly tell you hate me." He said and took the glass then turned to turn on the sink and filled it with water. "It can't be replaced it was my mothers.. it's all I have of her's.." He muttered and flipped off the sink.

The brown eyes widened, "where did you put the pieces?" He asked quickly. Lee felt horrible now. he didn't know it belonged to his mother. Luckily he only had to work a little bit tomorrow so he could fix the frame for Gaara and get new glass for it then give it to him. Lee had never been so happy in his life to have his craft for fixing things.

Gaara blinked and set the cup on the counter. "Naruto's room.." He muttered and noticed Lee didn't deny when he said he hated him. He walked past the older male to head back into Naruto's room.

Lee sighed and walked back to his room and fell back asleep.
